This notes app worked perfectly well for the most part, except has twice now deleted my important notes. They're just gone, not even in the "recycle bin". I love the simplicity and usability, but I can't trust it anymore

Very cute notepad! Love to use it and love how customizable it is. Makes it easy to keep track of tasks.

I have been using this extension for going on 5 years now, across 3 devices, and I can't reccomend it enough. I find that I often need to take a few notes or write down miscelaneous information fairly often, and I rarely have a good place to do that, other than creating a new text document or sending myself a text message. This extension solves that problem beautifully; I have somewhere to write just by clicking the icon, with no need to create new files, wait for a program to load, or even swap between tabs or windows. The small window is out of the way, and lets you copy information without swapping tabs and windows around. If you find yourself writing down tracking numbers, names and addresses, or any other quick notes, this extension is for you!

It's great but it sometimes glitches where I can't really see the notes, you can't title the notes, and you can't add pictures to it. Overall, 8/10

Please get rid of the useless "Coronovirus: do not leave your house" messages It would also be nice to have Google Drive backup since i've lost all of my notes before somehow even though they should've all been synced. Note titles would be nice too.

why isn't there a way to title the notes?

This is an extremely reliable notepad that you could probably even use to write a book within. I'm only switching to a less functional notepad for dark mode/themes. Then again, this one by George Padakis also has a search feature, so I guess I'll keep them both to see which one I gravitate toward over time.

I loved this extension but it deleted one of my most important notes and it wasn't in the recycle bin either.

Lack of dark mode and option to view that addon i.e., as in new tab rather than only in popup makes this limited. Also sync I dont trust much. Give us support to backup to google drive.

Pretty much everything you want in an unencumbered note app. I especially like how you can highlight text on a webpage and add it directly to Notepad via context menu!

Can you make the notepad size extendable? I can't write code in it :(

GREAT little notepad! So convenient, runs smoothly, and automatically saves your note if you click away. I love that it has more features than a regular notepad (bold, italics, numbering and bullet points easily accessible, etc). If I could suggest ONE thing to improve, it would be the little notes that appear on the bottom right talking about COVID safety. While the message is appreciated, it's a bit outdated and seems more fitting for March of 2020 than April of 2022 considering most of the info (wash hands, cover mouth when coughing) is common knowledge now. I'd suggest replacing those with little daily messages about productivity or inspirational quotes to get work done. That'd be a very nice feature, or at least give the option of turning the messages off for those of us sick of hearing the same 'wash your hands, stay home if unwell' rhetoric for the past 2 years haha. Anyway, it's super convenient and easy to use. Waste no more time reading reviews and just install it and get to work!

Simple and elegant!

This was an absolute perfect notepad I may have used this as a diary (Please don't look through it inventor of this extension). But it has been wonderful and I love how the size of the notepad could be adjusted to fit my liking. And of course the cute "wash your hands to beware of coronavirus" was just to cute. Thank you developer!!!!! <3

I'm a big fan of this notepad extension, I would like to see a popout feature unpaid if possible but I would pay if need be; it would certainly help with productive note taking. Great Work!

Best Note-Taking Extension I have found so far! I like that it can be used from your right-click context menu or the icon... and you have a choice to add to a note or take a new note from your context menu or by clicking the icon. Some good simplistic editing features.. word wrap would be first on my wish list.

Loveee this notepad!!! The last chrome notepad I used randomly deleted all my important notes and it was extremely frustrating. So glad that this notepad is simple, easy to use and actually SAVES my stuff

it's really good the notes stay forever and save automatically and there's fonts and stuff and little notes and yeah its cool i like it

I felt it super slow, as soon as the content goes beyond 6-7 lines it starts hanging on macbook pro Please see if this can be fixed, otherwise its a nice quick utility :)

It has a lot of nifty features that I like, such as being able to make multiple notes among other things, however I do have my gripes. I would like to be able to actually name notes, rather than it using the first line of the note. I also have issues with loading it. Sometimes when I open it, the notes are gone and I have to reopen it to get them back, and it also takes a handful of seconds to open in the first place. Would honestly recommend a different extension.

Was the option to sync notes to your account removed? I recently got a new laptop and on my old one i always tried to be logged into my chrome whenever i made notes but now i cannot see the option to sync all my notes. are they lost forever? if you see this by any chance, any help would be appreciated!

Best notepad app out of the 3-5 ones I tried. Only features I'd like is dark mode and resizing by dragging rather than in settings.

I had an issue with the UI and reached out to developer on facebook, my issue was fixed overnight on urgent basis and I am able to continue my work again. Thank you kindly.

This has been working very well for a while for me until the extension stopped working pretty recently. I still have my previous notes bookmarked though.

i like this extension it works great but i would like there to be some kind of grammar check that would help a lot and that is what would give me a 5 star but overall this is a good extension that i use almost daily would recommend to friends

I've used this for years because it's easy and cross-platform. I tend to add and delete things as needed. Recently, it's had an issue where it randomly resets by data to months prior, so I lose all the notes made during that time. There is no place to check the save point data or restore previous save points in the settings. It's a simple app, and I liked it, but since I'm looking for something with longevity to the notes, I'll be switching this out to something else.

Hello! The App seems to work fine but there is an issue. I know all of my notes are still there but I can no longer see them or even get into them. It's just all blank. I have tried deleting and redownloading but it still doesn't work. Please fix this issue!

It was working fine for months then I go in today and ALL but the last thing I used are gone. Every single one. Not an app you can trust to do the basics. This app should not be depended on. Never again!

can't access any of the notes anymore. All of them are in recycle bin but can't see them. It sucks.

tried to copy and paste text from the browser...didn't work. seemed to think the app was a picture. very stupid. 1 star from me.

The resize option doesn't seem to work even though it confirms the change. It remains stupidly too wide and often blocks the text on the image on the screen I'm trying to copy from.

Easy to use just don't delete the extension then otherwise your notes are saved

Simple, Useful and is just ultimately the best, just what I needed. Though I do hope they update it more like being able to resize and change the background or have more designs of the notepad, if they added it then this would just be the best.

The best notepad I have found so far but please there is a problem. When you click on the extension button, it takes a long time for the notepad to open as such delaying your work. By so doing, I am forced to delete this one and look for a new one

Simple but very useful tool! I only gave four stars because there is more that could be done with the app (such as being able to name individual note-cards properly). So far, I get around the note-card naming problem by making my first line the name of the note-card, and then putting spaces so that none of the other words appear in the title. I get around the card not having due date features and checklists by simply crossing things out when I'm finished and manually typing the due dates for each of my assignments (which is actually easier to do). Other than that, there's really not much more that's needed to be done. The app is advertised as a simple note-taking utility, and that's exactly what it is!

I've had this extension for years and it's worked great. and even when I switch computers the data switched over to. well that was the case until recently. I just got a new laptop and installed Google Chrome but a lot of what I've had down in the notepad is now gone. my theory is it's because I had a lot down on One Note because the other ones seem to be unchanged. but even if that is the case it should stay that somewhere or just not let you put more. and if anybody who sees this knows how to recover the data please let me know.

Good and easy to use, but one of my important lists just randomly got deleted. Couldn't find it anywhere, not even in the 'Deleted Notes' section. Better fix your bugs, because random notes vanishing is just s***. Pretty sure it's happened to me two or three times already.

It is excellent & useful for me to post videos on youtube.

Perfect to remove features on text when pasted, simple, easy to use.

This is cool i like to use it for school its really easy to use and i can open it up while i'm in a meet and jot down some notes i don't have to open a different tab

Works great. whatif i don't want the sync to happen ? i have installed this in Opera browser but i don't want notes to sync in cloud or go anywhere out of one machine, what steps i need to do ?

I would rate it higher except for these issues: The Developer is non-responsive when you report a problem. I reported the problem that the Notepad [aka: Cute Notepad folder in your bookmarks] does not show or retain Exclamation Marks. [! ! !] So, one star off for this problem and one off for non-responsiveness over 3 weeks of waiting. Otherwise, it is adequate. It could use enhanced options such as being able to resize the pop-up window it appears in, the "list of contents" column width on the left side of the extension. Those options need to be added to be able to market it as a "Pro" version that one would pay for. I am going to look for another extension to try out now.

fantastic. love this extension. i do a lot of CSS / HTML coding and it's perfect for whenever i need to nab a section of code or check out my refs if i have an issue. bypasses me having to go get my handbook, which helps me out by saving me so much time. thank you for creating such a useful extension. i will continue to recommend extension to my friends.

I love this because you can just click the notepad and there is just the notes right there! Extremely useful. 100% recommend it! :)

Simple is the Best

I add this to my chrome and just tried to test it out by writing my name and save it and every time I saved it the extension needs to be repaired, or says its been corrupted. I tried restarting, updating and played around with it for a hour and it never worked on downloading anything I wrote. I don't know if its just my chrome or not but if it is than just poor work by the creators

I like this, Now I won't have to worry about loosing info that I might need later I'm not sure if the notes that I write sync up for if I need to clone my computer from another HDD to fix a problem if needed But I guess we'll see later in the future I may update later about that For now Thank you kind sir Something else I noticed is that it will also keep your recycled/trashed notepads just in case you want to get one or two back if you remember that you deleted it by mistake Something else might be good if the creator would add a spot to add color to the text I like to use color in my text so I can find a certain spots in my notes

This is an amazing product. It is very simple, though super useful for copy and pasting stuff. My only complaint is that you cannot name the notes. If you can, I do not know how, so would someone inform me how if you can? Thank you. -Still Chill

Great notes app. Has tabs, and can add multiple notes. Even has trash option. The best part is it gets synced across chrome. The only sad part is UI, it bit ugly :)

Simple and powerful. Maybe could be useful having a hotkey, but now it's just fine.

Works great, simple to use. Changes I would like to see: increasing the size to make it a bit longer, an option to go back (I copy & paste a lot, so if I accidentally paste instead of copy from it, I lost my information) & a way to sort the names - either via alphabetical or when they were added or even color coded. I use this as my To Do/Complete and sometimes wait a bit for clients to follow up. It would be nice to know if I am waiting on client or if I still need to provide info by taking a quick glance.

It'll do. I'd like to find a pop up note app that supports markdown and doesn't create bookmarks, but this will have to do until I find what I want.

- The notes are stored in a foder named 'CuteNotepad' in 'other bookmarks' like Web Page Stiky Notes (a far too few known powerful 'must have extension'!). Good but why this name, so different of this of the extension, which could bring to confusions like delete that folder not understanding what it is for? - What about a shortcut to open and close the window? - And what about another to 'add selection to new note' (that we could later also manage opening the mean window with the upper shortcut)?

For everyone complaining about "not" being able to title their notes on the left: put your note title on the first line. Problem, for the most part, solved. A following suggestion to the above solution would then be to ask that if a title (or first line in the note) is short in characters, that the note honor the double spacing and leave the title (first line in the note) blank after the first line. (If I were to type "Title" and then hit the enter key twice and then type "This is the start of a paragraph", I am asking that the left only show the first line entry and not go "Title This is ") Even without that suggestion, I really love this notepad extension and find it extraordinarily useful for my current (and always ongoing) project. There has to be some improvement in bugs fix, Like "spell Check" & "Save Documents" when you return back to the extension application. As a QA Engineer for adobe, i would say these are the two major fix for the application, this would make it a great application which is already a great app.

Like many others, I think that this is -no doubt- an excellent Notepad, nevertheless it would be even better if you could sort the notes. Many of us will appreciate if you add that possibility. Thank you.

I liked this until the update. I think the addition of Rich Text is great, but now, when pasting info copied from the editor into another editor/app, there are extra characters where there should be carriage returns and blank lines in between lines of text that don't appear until it's pasted elsewhere. Additionally, I wish it could remember where my cursor was instead of returning me to the last line when I switch back and forth between notes. If those issues could be fixed, I'd be happy.

I am new to Chromebooks, so I was looking for an alternative to Windows Notepad. This is definitely not it. It crashed when I clicked the "3 dots" button. Now using Caret instead - a great app that even runs outside of Chrome.

This WAS a superb extension to Chrome which allowed me to keep up to date lists of of online purchases (eg eBay, Amazon etc) at hand. I could also keep a tally of Credit Card balances, where I could add new debits/credits & then copy/paste the figures into google and then paste them back into the notepad - all fine... Until today. 2nd April 2019 - the extension has been updated to be more fancy, but it completely breaks the purpose of having a simple notepad - when I copy my google calculator results back into the note it now keeps the original google font formatting with no way of maintaining plain text and therefore completely destroys my lists. The writer, trying to be clever, has now turned the best notepad extension into a piece of useless junk, and I will now be replacing it with something that a notepad is meant to be.

THE BEST!!!!! No log ins, not silly settings, not dumb stuff, just a simple elegant beautifully clear white note pad. AMEN!

This is an excellent, simple notepad that works the way it is advertised. Pay no mind to the complainers who want a Word document attached to Chrome (i.e. bold, italics, search feature, publishing, themes, etc.) -- c'mon! If you want a simple notepad for taking notes, copying and pasting text to remove formatting, and a way to organize thoughts that come to mind while working online, this is an excellent resource.

Used to love this but now the menu on the left with the other notes list is just NOT ACCESSIBLE , it's a tiny sliver of which I can't click anything UGH. I've already tried changing size and my chrome and laptop zoom settings.

The space is a tad bit large so I don't know if I put too many spaces also every now and then it does not save
