After the Last Pass hack, I needed a new password keeper. I was recommended 1Password but after only a couple of weeks, i was so frustrated with it, i needed something else. I already had the Microsoft authenticator for MFA for my accounts, so wondered if it also did passwords and autofill. After seeing that it did, i decided to switch to using it and imported all my previous google and lastpass passwords. And i have never looked back. Now recommending it to everyone.

Its works great. I wish it was a stand alone app though so I can use it outside of browsers. Still good though since mobile support!

Good , works definately , but some problems, while saving the password there should be a space to give nick name so that user can identify the correct password for the site, sometimes same email and dotted password makes it difficult to recognise the correct login, but if some hint or nick name is there it will be good, like bookstore, johnoutlook like this. hind shall be there near the indication . also some passwords are being saved without username , so that it should be with username or website name.

Best password manager on the internet!

Lost confidence in LastPass after recent well publicised incidents, so thought I'd try this alternative - it's simple, easy to set up, easy to import passwords from other password managers, and works well. It doesn't have the functionality of LastPass, but would be happy to pay for a bells and whistles premium version if it was ever released.

In my opinion MS Authenticator is the best free autofill, password saver out their. I have used several different ones. I have the Samsung authenticator app, and they are very similar. I have both of them setup for 2 step verification. Some may find that, that is a pain. However with 2 step verification, no one can get into your accounts. Password generator would be a plus. I can deal with that easy enough. Passwords that i use, takes aproxametly 365 million years to break anyway, If hacker was trying to break into fort knox, fairly impossible to duplicate a 2 step verification unless you have or ghost 2 ip addresses!

I like it, but it would be better if the password field had a nickname. Initially I was using Dashlane which is a paid subscription but trust me MS Authenticator does great job than any app out there, Best free password manager and authenticator in my opinion. Love it!

Love it, but would be better if it doesn't open a new tab for touch ID and just some popup or alike. Not sure though if it's possible (Apple has too much restrictions ?).

Great for productivity

Initially I was using 1password which is a paid subscription but trust me MS Authenticator does great job job than any app out there, worried of switching to android because of passwords trust me if you get used to authenticator app of 2FA you will not have to restrict using safari for keychain for logins MS authenticator has stolen my heart ever since I move to android from apple, literally everything in one place but integrated without any OS barrier. You name it MS authenticator will have integration to that already. Love it thanks Gates

So far working like it intended, without any unnecessary curls, just I like it. I've just ran away from competing solutions, which either wasn't safe or the other wasn't worked at all. Thanks for simple solutions!

really nice works great with MS authenticator.

The only password manager where the biometrics (fingerprint) on my chromebook work are required for each password entry and so quick. Unlike Google and Apple, its cross platform, though limiitations are lack of notes and identity cards - otherwise it's currently the best, and coming from a premium Bitwarden subscriber

Great free password manager and made by Microsoft so you can trust it. I would be really grateful Microsoft if you now make another extension like the iCloud bookmarks instead it would sync bookmarks across Edge and Chrome. It would be really helpful

I previously use Google password, however, google password is not a standalone application. It only work on Chrome Browser and synced account. The password manager cannot cross platform use without using chrome / gborad. Now, mircosoft password is really a cross platform application, I can use it for my all devices.

It works like a charm! But there are still MANY BASIC THINGS that can be done to IMPROVE IT!

Was working perfectly, then I used a new email address in another windows login in a different browser and NOW it will only allow me to log into an account I don't use in this login!

it doesn't work properly. and everything i close the browser and reopen it, 8 have to log in again and again

It can be 5 star If I have a place to add some notes and security questions that I'd like to save for every password stored.

Very effective across all platforms It helps to have a reliable password manager that is not just stuck in safari or chrome but that you can have on all your different devices, and function as an effective authentication app.

Great app! Ideal for me as an iOS user who is also using Windows. I could use Keychain but Microsoft Authenticator is friendlier to use for those who do not have a Mac.

Autofill extension is using around 200mb of ram. Lot of ram consumption for very little functionality.

Former LastP@ss user here. After suffering the breach, I started looking for a replacement. While there are some features missing here as compared to Lastpass, BitWarden and 1Password (secure notes etc), this one is lightweight, cross-platform and pretty seamless.

I've used several similar Password Managers in the past.So imo overall my experience thus far Microsoft's is my preferred & recommended utility. Great performance and excellent performance. One Con I am most concerned with is with Autofill function as it tends to sometimes comes up without a way to easily close, minimize, or Move even, that prevents being able to manually put in the information!

I get that this isnt supposed to be authenticator, but please for the love of mac n cheese I really dont want to have to walk across the room and to my phone to get a 6 digit code of my authenticators Overall good autofill.

I'm actively trialing Authenticator to replace another program manager. When the other license expires this should become my primary. At the moment I find it working perfectly fine. Just took a bit of time to wrap my head around how it works across devices, but so far its been good

Complete fail! I moved away from a password manager who had my vault leaked. Started using the Authenticator for passwords instead and I was manually changing all the important passwords last night, each time I changed one, I checked it was updated/backed up on the extension settings. This morning, all the accounts I deleted were back on there and all the passwords I changed and used a new randomly generated one for security reasons, also disappeared and reverted back to the old one. So now I am logged out of many services and need to reset all the passwords as if I forgot them. Thank you Microsoft! This renders the authenticator useless as a password manager.

I have been using Microsoft Authenticator for a while now. Being able to browse on my PC and having a tool that syncs with what I have on my smartphone it's fantastic!

I'm reviewing both 2FA and autofill. Google authenticator failed me due to an unfortunate factory reset I had to do on my phone. Knowing the accounts for 2FA and passwords get saved by logging in, I immediately switched over to Microsoft autofill and authenticator. Seamless function, amazing UI on browser version and app versions. No complaints for the month's usage of both services!

Mostly good, but keeping Bitwarden as well for now. Autofill of payment information used to work but doesn't anymore (suggestions popup, but clicking them does nothing). Not being able to save the CCV of a card limits the time saved using the autofill as I still have to go grab the card if I don't have it on me.

All of my passwords have disappeared from the app, and when I talked to Microsoft Support they had no idea about this app. The contact email doesn't work either. I have to err on the side caution, and assume I've been compromised by this hack. I'm changing all my passwords again away from what I used in this app. What a disaster.

Excellent UX and performance, flawless integration. Everything expected from a good password keeper is found here, along with seamless cooperation with MS Authenticator app. I am currently moving my entire organization to use this app from other well-known products that do not work as good.

Surprisingly good. On all my devices. I don't remember any password.

Works flawlessly on Chromebook and syncs with the Microsoft authenticator app for Android. Better than others I've tried and free!

Found better than Bitwarden. Using just for mew hours. So will review later if find anything wrong. Until now, there's no option of using PIN with Autofill. It has security verification for once or everytime WITH PHONE. But it needs a PIN system so that I don't need the phone but a PIN for every time I use autofill.

Other than generate password, the chrome extension doesnt work properly. I cannot show, edit passwords. Cant even export ....

I came from Chrome's password manager, so the familiar design as well as the ability to import my passwords is welcome. I love how cross platform it is as well when paired with Microsoft's Authenticator app on mobile devices. Set Authenticator as your autofill provider on iOS/Android and you have a cross platform experience. The only thing that I wish microsoft would do is create an extension for Firefox so that everyone would be able to use this.

Works well, I just hate that you can only sync to a personal account. But I'm certain that's for business security purposes. Other than that I imported my Chrome passwords with no issue (except waiting 5min)

But this extension is the most helpful one I have ever had. and it be helpful for you to if you store all your info with Microsoft accounts, I have my personal, and school/work Microsoft accounts, so it's a great app at keeping all my info and passwords secured, and autofill right when it's suppose to. now if only the Microsoft authentication app on android was as reliable

Started using microsoft authenticator as 2FA code generator on my android phone a while ago. Have thought about getting a password manager for a long time but never pulled the trigger until they added this functionality to the authenticator app. Works seamlessly across phones and computers and browsers (chrome, edge and brave) with this extension. I absolutely love it.

Best password manager extension brilliant ?

Just installed it last week. Not sure why Edge needs an autofill extension on top of it's built-in autofill feature. However, it seems to work pretty well none-the-less.

I loved this app until I moved from Android to iOS and found that iOS uses iCloud backup while Android/PC uses MSFT storage so it doesn't sync. Ended up mostly ditching it for another application that is truly cross-platform.

Used to be very good, but since a few weeks (or maybe months), it cannot distinguish between different subdomains within the same domain any more. Autofill suggests wrong credentials from another subdomain, and I always need to click "Manage passwords" and find the correct credentials manually. This is really annoying, esp. since it used to work well previously

It would be beneficial if ms outfill can recommend on password checks and provide with breached password lists out of saved passwords so that users can get prior information about the strenght and security of the users passwords just like google chrome password manager does. Also, please add a mechanism just like lastpass and google chrome(https://passwords.google.com/) to view saved passwords online in web.

A very good password manager add-on on Chrome. But the passwords cannot sync with the Microsoft Authenticator App on iOS. Could you add this feature in the next round of update?

I hope we can use a work email with this extension. My company has several Office 365 licenses but not all.

It's a great start. I use Autofill on iOS, and on a number of web browsers via extensions. I'm actually migrating from Bitwarden to Microsoft Autofill, purely because I'm going through a huge purge in subscription services in my life. This being free is a great reason to use it. Same as others, I'd really like to see a secure notes facility, as well as being able to add notes to individual passwords.

Really a great plugin. However, I do miss a few things to give it ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ and leaving all other autofill and password apps in the dust. #1. make it possible to use in desktop apps (this alone will make the last ⭐) #2. please consider making it possible to save text-files (nothing complex - maybe markdown syntax)

Passwords are not synced across multiple devices. 1. Chrome with Extension 1. Iphone 8 1. Iphone 12 Chrome passwords which are saved are only reflected on chrome No sync of those passwords vice versa to each other ? it defeats the purpose of having password manager sync. Auto-fill sync is enabled with same account on all 3 devices .

Pathetic, every time I need to log in to the extension when I open chrome. Most of the time could not detect dorm, need to open the extension, copy-paste the user and password from there. Removing it from chrome.

It won't accept my Microsoft 365 login. Looks like it only accepts personal Microsoft accounts. Can this be used with business accounts?
