it isn't working every time it says end note is 'under maintaince" for 3 days straight......what is this?????

The "view PDF" function is not working anymore and it was a really useful tool.

The interface is awful not user friendly

Very helpful and makes formatting bibliographies and keeping literature in one place very easy. Getting really annoying now though as it seems every other PDF file I open is "invalid or corrupt", so I can't view the PDF or export it...

This used to be a very useful tool but ever since the EndNote rebranding, it is garbage. I appreciated being logged in automatically to my accounts so I can get past paywalls easily but now instead of refreshing the page to show full articles, you are forced to view everything in their viewer. Their viewer does not provide any benefits to me but does come with annoyances. I'll stick to just logging myself in now. The biggest flaw is the forced logo in the lower left hand side of EVERY page the extension thinks you MIGHT want to use it for. This means that if you use anything NCBI at all, you are forced to watch the distracting "loading" icon, where the wheel spins and spins endlessly. Since a lot of NCBI is not just reading articles but actually using their databases, there is nothing to "log in" to and no reason anyone would want to use this extension. Since I can't turn off the annoying logo showing up everywhere associated with NCBI, I can no longer use this. This used to be a very simple extension that just simplified the credential log-in process, but now it just feels like it has been re-tooled into a way to try and convince you to use Endnote's other services. I will be removing this extension and just logging myself in from now on until I can find something that does what this used to and nothing more when I didn't ask it to.

Endless problems since it changed to Endnote from Kopernio. Honestly, this should't even still have the ratings from Kopernio. I have not been able to open a PDF using this extension in weeks. Ever time I get that the PDF is corrupt and so nothing ever loads.

EDIT 2020: Well it was good while it lasted. First they changed the GUI by adding tens of unnecessary small buttons (looking a bit like Windows, ugh), then couldn't solve a recurrent problem with annoying pop-up shibolet prompts for user credentials every time you search a paper (so long for storing library credentials), now it belongs to EndNote, a software I've been actively trying to avoid. I am uninstalling this extension. - - - - - - Real time saver. However the latest bug (Kopernio blames Chrome) made me lose first 7 days then 4 weeks of browsing history, cookies, passwords, etc. without fixing the problem. What worked in the end was to remove the extension and re-installing it.

Bring back Kopernio!!! Hate the new colours and graphics of endnote click!!!

Exporting files to EndNote used to work 70% of times... with the new update nothing works anymore. Very disappointed.

This extension fills the gap between my online research and my citations. Before, I would have to manually input the pdf when downloading citations to Endnote (this is how I sort and keep track of all the papers I accumulate). Now the process is seamless and, with the endnote cite-while-you-write it is very easy to go from the online version of the paper to a direct citation in the paper i am writing.

Incredibly useful and amazing tool, it takes all the hassle out of finding the full PDFs to research articles and citations are a breeze

Very easy to use and it definitely cuts down on tracking some difficult to find manuscripts.

Helps immensely now that's it's crunch time for my thesis writing.

I loved how much it simplified the search for literature namely because I had access to two university libraries and both logins could be used through the plugin simultaneously. It made organising the literature far easier than had it been done manually with the export to endnote function. And for the price of free, Kopernio definitively added value. Thank you for the help.

Pretty handy tool to download pdf and references. The integration with EndNote makes my life of documenting my work much simpler. A few popular websites like Arxiv and ResearchGate still have very inconsistent support.

Super helpful when writing my dissertation and doing my Uni work, unloaded the whole stress of referencing when linked with Endnote

I like aspects of Kopernio. If I havent first logged in to my Institution (using SSO), the Kopernio "View PDF" takes me to the login page fine and I can login. But often times it hangs and I have to reload the page and try again after logging in separately - although this may not be a Kopernio issue..... I also established a naming convention years ago that I try to stick with as it helps me file and sort papers. So it would be nice if there was the option of altering the file names when the pdf saves (if saving to the hard drive or server) rather than just accepting the default naming format. Am I missing an option...?

Love this extension. Has helped me save and categorize a lot of my research papers. The only change I would like to see is the ability to modify or change the tag names. Once named, they can't be changed in the current version. Please fix that.

Kopernio has proven to be by far the fastest way to reach the article PDF for me, and I usually have a lot of trouble getting access to the required PDF if Kopernio can't find it first. Love it.

Annoying popup asking to allow integration, which cannot be disabled. Faulty integration - it fails to authenticate with my university's proxy, and then again keeps asking again and again to do integration.

This tool is an absolute must-have for writing papers or a thesis. The End-note and chrome integration works flawlessly. It takes 2 clicks to insert a full reference into a word doc, and it has saved me so much time, I'll never go back to doing it manually.

Great! But no longer available to use with Google Scholar as it violates terms of services. I wanna cry

I just downloaded this, and found that it's wonderful. Fortunately, I didn't encounter problems that some of the other users have experienced.

This tool is great for helping to access and organize the documents and references for my thesis, in conjunction with Endnote (with which it works well. If you open a pdf in Kopernio, there is usually a button to import the reference into Endnote.) It is the sort of idea that I would never have thought of myself but when I saw it I thought "why didn't anybody think of that before?!" It is a 'quality of life' improvement that makes the chores of research and academic writing just that little bit easier to manage. I think it is great!

i have struggled for months as an independent researcher / writer to get frree PDF's of academic articles. It's great to have found Kapernio and to find that it's such a user friendly and effective service for those of us who are really on our own.

Keep getting blocked out of pubmed for "batch downloading". Problem goes away when I uninstall koperino.

Slows down opening any pdf.

Really has potential, but it has so many bugs. Feedback for programmers: Stops working frequently, or starts searching on pages that it should not. For some reason constantly keeps signing me out of my account and asks again for username/pass, and frequently fails to recognize me again.... Please do NOT add too many functions before improving current functions & fixing the current bugs.

I just started using it and i already love it! It makes it so easy to get the PDFs and also import them to EndNote. I think it is going to help me immensely in keeping the EndNote databases organized with PDFs.

It would be nice if users can upload previously downloaded pdf to the locker.

Still no way to automatically import PDFs into Endnote. Thought this would do it. Zotero has a Chrome extension where you click a button in Chrome and it saves the PDF and reference to Zotero. ONE CLICK. Why can't Endnote do that? The only reason I use Endnote is because my boss requires it. Otherwise I wouldn't bother. Incredibly difficult to import references to Endnote, not worth my time.

This is looking extremely promising. Concept's excellent. Developers seem to have been fixing bugs very quickly and responding to early users' concerns. It's returned good results for me so far and seems to be getting better. Feels '3 star' at the moment but I'm giving it 4 for definite promise and I'd be unsurprised if it quickly goes to '5 star' status as development continues.

My main complaint is that it shows "Searching for PDF..." in every single result of my Google search, which is very annoying. I mean, you could have just shown nothing right? And I would really like to turn this off, because I do NOT want PDFs when I do most of my searches which includes things like looking up local weather.

Really nice extension! However, I would like an option to turn off searching for pdf in specific pages (for example, in google.com)

This couldn't download the example pdf it directed me to. It made my chrome browser stop working and did not allow me to access developer tools while it was added. This release seems to be a pile of hot garbage.

Kopernio is a great addition for anyone working in research. It is easy to use and works seamlessly.

This product is a great addition to anyone working in an academic environment - it is truly fantastic and works seamlessly. Creating an account and connecting with my university's subscription was such a simple experience. Searching for articles is now a whole lot more fun!

Just started using Kopernio and am really impressed so. I don't normally use extensions and was a bit worried this would be complicated to set up. It was really easy and took about a minute. I "connected" Kopernio with my university library which somehow worked automatically and now I can get PDFs even though I am working from home. Before I used to have to remember to use the "Bookmarklet" or try set up our VPN which never works. This is much quicker and doesn't require me to remember anything. So far I've tried Kopernio on: - Google Scholar: works well - Pubmed: looks like it works on both the search listings and individual article pages - and a few different database pages linked to from Google I think Kopernio will come in really handy when I work on my literature review in the summer. Would recommend if you need to access lots of papers for your research.

It’s really easy to connect Kopernio with your university library so you can access ScienceDirect and JSTOR from home without the hassle of registering and logging in.

Kopernio works really well with Pubmed to find the PDFs I need.

perfect. To my taste, I'd make the top green bar smaller / less visible. But I really love that you can just click and the PDF appears - it used to be a pain at times getting the article when not on campus.
