ITS REALLY GOOD
It is awesome.
I have used the Chrome extension of NordVPN on various Chromebooks since the 1st January 2017 when the UK Investigatory Powers Act (2016) came into force. I would never go onto the Internet without NordVPN being active. It works very well. Easy to use. Very good service.

Ive actually found a "real" paid VPN that works wonderfully. It took me a while to figure out how to run and install everything that Nord VPN offered me with my package but now that Ive learned, it's very user friendly. Thumbs up all the way!!!!!

Have been using NordVPN for a number of years, and only discovered the Chrome addon this week. Have used the VPN on my router and personal devices, but the Chrome addon is particularly useful when working on my company-issued laptop, as I am unable to load 3rd party applications on it. Privacy and unlocking territory restricted content, when away from home, it now complete; without having to resort to a small (iPhone) screen. So easy to setup, and works perfectly.
Recent update broke something. If I close the browser without turning off the vpn, upon next start the browser doesn't open any website despite Nord being already logged off. Have to disable Nord altogether to make the browser work.
I've been using Nordvpn for around 5 years. It has been one of the best I've used, quick, reliable with better security features. Since upgrading to Windows 11 I am finding Nord hangs and sometimes won't start up so I use the browser app instead.

Having used many VPNs, I find that NordVPN gives the best features. It's easy to use, with a well programmed interface and authentication process. It was very simple to get working for me. I've been a customer for several years now. I've tried other VPNs since starting to use NordVPN, but I always come back. The zero logs aspect is a great feature, although one warning should be that some VPNs will have monitoring alerts separate to logs. If they catch you using their VPN for certain purposes, they will contact law enforcement. This is something that the police often insist on VPNs implementing. If they do not, then they can be served warrants to seize equipment and sting operations against individual logins. That's the weak-point. Your own ISP can see that you are using a VPN and can packet sniff your traffic. VPNs are NOT completely safe, but if you use it with things like VMs to create plausible deniability, then you might be OK. No guarantee. Stay safe. Stay secure. Stay vigilant!

Since moving from the computer-wide NordVPN program to the browser-only extension NordVPN i'm generally a happy camper. I was about ready to kick NordVPN off my computer for the number of times I had connection issues before trying out the browser extension. The browser extension is much more stable.
It was okay for the first year now that im in the second one , for me it just impossible to chenge to USA since im here in Germany and been trying to reach customer service and they did respond ince after I did sent what they requested (by taking pictures of my issues ) and did not respond , iam still waiting, ton fix the issue!
As Advertised - Good for Trading and Security The app and the web extension both work great. I paid for the dedicated IP which has been difficult to figure out, apparently it works on the mobile app and macbook application, but I am still trying to figure that out. It is good for trading in select locations.

nordVPN has always gone right by me i'm coming up on my 2year plan ending soon and i don't have auto-renewal for they give you the option to turn in off with your current days you payed for just running out and then having to go manually in to resubscribe is something i'm happy with for that gives me a change to look at the market a bit and see if there is maybe another VPN i want to try out but so for i been sticking with Nord for 5 years now for sure recommend this and remember Asmongold him self supports this message not really XD but he has been sponsored and for someone as picky as Asmon this must be a good product thank you for ready and i hope i help with your decision.

Great VPN! You can connect to many places in the world. Can use it simultaneously on 5 devices. Only issue that the desktop as well as this extension logs out every time I restart my computer.
I've been using NordVPN for 4 years now and it has never let me down. While having some problems with getting around geolocation for some services, the main reason for its use: security, has never let me down. Plus the feature I love most is the CyberSec built in. On my phone I use it all the time as general vpn with some exceptions where I need to be on tha same LAN (which is great since I don't have to manually set routes, it has this exception mechanism built-in). On my PC I use it always as a Chrome plugin.

This works, but have to keep uninstalling it every time I restart. At a guess, it keeps a record of the routing table from when the VPnw as active and applies it without checking it you have logged in. This means that everytab is broken becuase it tries to route through a non-existant route. Uninstalling seems to clear the routes, and re-installing and logging in then works again. It's not very efficient and q tad annoying.
Nord has been grand, Though recently; I found the desktop app is having issues not connecting and slowing down my pc.(This started today) However, the mobile and browser app work just fine.
Don't listen to these people or pay attention to all of the 5 star reviews. my opinion, they're useless
Used Nord on Windows and Android for two years now, always been good and fast and gets done what I need. Now today set up on Chrome and still working well. Happy customer.

It refuses to log me in every now and then, blocking my access to every sites with http 407 error. So I have to delete the extension, open up my internet, re-download, and log in again. This has happened three times now. Any reasons to this?
I've used NordVPN across a variety of devices for a number of years now and have no complaints whatsoever. I'd love for there to be a ten-year subscription with a discount - that's all I'd ask :)

Works very well on both laptop and phone. Maybe it slows down internet speeds slightly, but I'm pleased with NordVPN so far.
Just bad - Keeps logging me out - bugs out randomly where I cant connect to the internet, clicking on the extension doesn't load anything, I have to literally uninstall to access the internet EDIT: 1 year on in March 2023 and same issues. I came here to leave a 1 star review again and to my short-lived surprised I'd already installed this extension before and promptly uninstalled and left a review last year. Exact same issues described still persist.

It doesn't connect to any country, even though the app works wonderfully the extension keeps on showing "Couldn't connect. Try giving it another go." It should include the option to chose type of connection like the app or change protocol to NordLynx.

Easy to install and use, love it.
This extension changes your proxy. The browser reboots/updates/etc, and you're logged off and can't even log again because you're not authenticated. You have to reinstall the extension, or if you're lucky enough, trying to open cached pages you might get the browser dialog to prompt you for the proxy authentication (then you use nordvpn user and password and then you get it working again without the whole reinstall). This extension needs to stop the exit process to ask to log-off before, or do it automatically... or upon browser start do an idiot check and see you're getting Error 407 everywhere, that means you're not authenticated and then clear up the proxy settings. Badly designed, by people that apparently don't use it enough to realise this is an ongoing issue for quite a while. Trying this in form of a review (since i've tried support but was asked for "evidences" and after sending never heard about it again... tried reddit but if you don't have enough karma you're no good...)

I find it easy to leave it to do the connecting automatically. I pay attention to when it thinks I should be using the VPN, and obviously I know when not to use it, by the fact that some things I am unable to do over a VPN. For it's purpose, NORD does what it says, and does it, in an efficient and friendly manner.

I have been using nordvpn and nordpass and I absolutely love it, however one area I wish improved would be that it auto fills on nordpass when using applications. EXAMPLE (logging into battle net the app on desktop, it doesn't offer auto fill.)

I'll tell you a wonderful story. NordVPN advertises itself as a VPN service capable of bypassing block in restricted countries. In Russia NordVPN is blocked, so you can't even visit site to log in to the extension. You can't download app to PC to try to use obfuscated servers. And if you downloaded app and successfully log in, NordVPN fails to connect to any servers. Even obfuscated servers working one day in a month. If you want to read support to try to avoid blocking, you cannot do that because - surprise, surprise - site is blocked. So this service is useless in restricted countries.
Been using a few of NordVPNs products for a few years now. The VPN is very good and simple to use and NordPass is also a very good password manager too.

Works pretty much flawlessly for me. Can't think of when it didn't work. Login process can take awhile, maybe 30+ seconds, but overall the speeds of the servers and reliability of the extension seems to be pretty solid. I'd like to have similar customizability to the full desktop app/program, though.

I never knew how much I needed VPN in my life until I started using Nord VPN. Was initially hesitant to use a VPN but I was forced to when I moved to Dubai and was unable to call out to home as there is no VOIP there. I was unable to work remotely as planned. Then I downloaded NordVPN and it solved all my problems as I could call outside of the country again. Since then, I've moved out of Dubai, but it's been useful for me even in Singapore and Jakarta. If you're a Netflix user, you get to access different shows if watching Netflix using NordVPN. I use NordVPN to hide my location when out of the country and also to 'travel' to other networks when I am in-country. NordVPN can be pretty expensive though if you don't use their introductory package offers. 2 year subscription plan was worth it. One time I forgot to change package and they charged me the regular rate for a good year - much regrets. Otherwise, I rec NordVPN as I can use it across all my devices and it's also very secure.

About a year ago I was hacked. I'd previously downloaded a suite of "toys", (5 or 6 apps from Microsoft) because one of the apps allowed the resizing of image files and was just what I needed to reduce the size of a picture to send to a website that had a limit on file size. I paid little attention to the other apps. I had noticed that one was called Power Renamer and another was group chat program. I although I'd never used them, I found the Power Renamer and group chat apps on my task bar. I found that the hacker(s) rename hundreds of my personal files and some of the operational platforms. To what end? I never found out. My password manager was provided by my current anti-virus account. The manager was compromised, the password and recovery codes were changed, and I was locked out without the antivirus protection noticing. I'd been using NordVPN at the time and they stepped right in and helped me out with much needed advice. They set me up with NordPass and NordLocker while I was still scrambling to secure my computer and online accounts. I'd begun using NordVPN to solve the difficulties was having with streaming video services. I tried others but Nord performed the best. Starting over a year ago I'd been having trouble accessing my checking account. I couldn't connect with the bank online due to their security changes. I kept getting DNS error messages. I finally asked NordVPN for help and they solved the problem in 5 minutes by setting me up with specific servers to use. I got the same good service when a streaming video provider made some changes that prevented the full use of my subscription. I asked for NVPNs guidance and they helped me get continual fast stable connections ever since.

Well I am using NordVPN for a couple of years and now on my new Chromebook, but with the secure Chromebook I dont like to use Android-Apps ;) With the Web-Extension it is working fine but I am missing to change the server by myself from a list of servers and not to choose only a site which is in Germany Frankfurt and Berlin. I hope that will be possible otherwise I would have all the time the same IP on that servers ;)

Every time starts up Chrome, the chrome proxy setting is sucked by this extension, and all connections are dropped. Even though I would like to use NordVPN to connect to any location to resume the connection, it failed because it requires a connection to authenticate the Nord account. The only solution is to remove this extension and resume the connection without a VPN. Then, re-install this extension, login, and connect to VPN. This bug is very annoying!!!

I've been using Nord VPN as a Chrome extension for about a year and have found it easy to use from the drop down Extensions icon to the right of the search bar. When I say easy, it is on by default so I don't have think about it. In saying that I have changed the settings, a scroll and click, to other countries which had an unexpected result of changing the ads on YouTube.. the Japanese ads are best entertainment wise, in my view, even though I haven't a clue what they're talking about. I've watched Brazillian, Isreali and Indian.. all of which are a refreshing change to the over needy British advertisers. Although I can't offer a comparison, I can recommend Nord as it works and is easy, even a pleasure, to use.
