Watched Videos are not staying hidden

Wonderful plugin but as of 01/11/2022 it no longer works. Looks like Youtube have had another page update. Hopefully the developer updates this

Simple extension that adds a "hide watched video" radio button. It is working for channels, but not for the front page and some other functionality is broken such as the putting the GUI on the right menu. I did not test the mark all as watched button but the eyeball button works. While I won't really be using this app regularly I may come back to it for a particularly packed channel.

No longer works ands hasnt for some time now. Only works when browsing someone's youtube channel page which makes it useless.

Best extension for marking YouTube videos as watched and managing subscription page. 3/22 - extension was updated to handle YouTube Shorts type videos.

Nice idea, but didnt work for me. Installed it, hit refresh and still showed the same watched videos as before without it. Tried playing with the settings but watched videos still there.

Doesn't work. It will still show already watched videos (which are clearly marked by Youtube).

are there no option or other extension to hide videos watched from made playlist? I have a ton of vids from my playlist that I watch in random order

Doesn't work half the time, as in, clicking the "hide watched" button at the top of screen does NOTHING, zero response from the button. Reloading (F5) The main youtube page sometimes makes it work, sometimes not. Settings also seem to revert everytime i fully close down chrome. Which is annoying to say the least. EDIT* clicking Save settings under the extension settings page, does NOT save settings, a simple refresh will revert enabling " Use YouTube™'s watched gauge ". Ergo, above option will ALWAYS be disabled as there is no way to save your settings apparently.

WHERE IS THE EYE AT THE TOPS OF THE SCREEN ???? Where the hell is the EYE That if you click would hid/showed all the watched videos. The text "Hide Watched" is confusing and misleading. it is not obvious it's a button and on top of that when you do click on it, does it not chance to "Show Watched" STUPID!! Also what idiot thought to put a "Mark all as watched" link (button) on the top and not give a undo all a 'Mark all as unwatched' option somewhere ... SHEER STUPIDITY

Not working

i caught this hiding subscription videos that i never had the chance to watch and i never marked as watched. And sometimes videos that were already watched come back as 'unwatched'. sorry, this extension isn't very good, needs a lot of fixing

Several times a day it redirects you to messages from the author. Not cool man.

Doesn't hide watched videos. If that changes, I'll adjust my review accordingly. For now it's just a useless extension.

Very useful, essential even for youtube addicts. It was broken for a bit after YT updated its page, but was fixed very fast, so even in 2020 this ext. is still being updated which is excellent. Many thanks!

Fixed within a day of it breaking because of a Youtube update, this is a quality extension, and a quality developer.

Great Extension, However it seems like a recent youtube update broke it. I hope we get an update.

90% of videos are new unlike 20-30% in past before installing the extension make it 100 % to get 5 stars, btw good job dude, make more productive stuffs though...

Currently, this only seems to work on the Subscriptions page.So far, that's the only page where I've seen the icon to mark videos as viewed, and viewed videos are definitely showing up at least some other pages. I love the mark-as-viewed feature, but I wish that there were a way to set a threshold for how much counts as having seen the video (especially since the YouTube app takes muted autoplay as you scroll through your feed and sets that as your view amount, so videos that autoplayed silently for a few seconds would presumably be hidden by this extension). And, of course, I wish that it worked consistently across YouTube (everywhere but your History page, basically).

So far it has been working as advertised . Would like it even more if it didn't have the group boxes but just had the videos all together. I don't really need the today, yesterday stuff. Perhaps have that as a settings option? Only seems to work in grid view though. Perhaps that is why some say it doesn't work at all?

I love this extension. I use the subscription feed almost daily and this makes navigating it so much easier.

This does NOTHING. Even when I click "Hide" the video keep reappearing - the exact same issue I already have with plain subscriptions. It seems this extension only duplicates what Youtube already provides - and since the Youtube "Hide" algorithm occasionally completely breaks (worked for me for a while than not at all, they keep breaking it) what's the point of this extension??? An actually _useful_ extension will have to keep its own list of watched videos in local storage and work with video URLs as identifier, and be completely independent of any broken built-in Youtube functions.. Okay then it only works in one browser (unless you add some "cloud" option). This extension only seems to "work" when you don't need it (because the Youtube "Hide" option already works for you).

Doesn't do anything. I've triple checked the settings, I've let it run for over a week now. It doesn't work. IT DOESN'T HIDE WATCHED VIDEO'S. I could not find any button to hide video's either. Makes me wonder the positive reviews....

Works pretty much as intended. Only complaint is that it hides videos that haven't been fully watched yet. Kinda makes it unusable for me, but overall pretty good extension.

My favourite Chrome extension!

This extension needs to be advertised more. It does exactly what I've needed an extension to do, cleanly, and simply. But it took me *AGES* to find this. Please, extension author, spend some time spreading the word about this. I reckon some people are missing out...

Doesn't work! Forgets watched and hidden videos half an hour ago shows them again and again. Unusable small button to hide videos which hides itself you accidentally play the video and not hide it. Rubbish

Works ok, but will not stop after 1 month and keeps finding older and older vids to hide. Would get 1 more star from me if this is resolved.
