Almost 4 years from last update. Doesn't work with GA4, so useless.

Not very useful since it doesn't track through to subdomains. Seems odd since it's tied to my Google Analytics account which can see subdomain info just fine, but the Page Analytics don't show any clicks on subdomain links.

Used to work great... stop working in 2023 Just getting error messages... Google support has no idea what is wrong... and not fixing it any time soon... despite none of the issues being true, there is no recourse to getting it to work again: "You don't see data for 1 of the following reasons: Logged into multiple Google accounts or the wrong Google account: Try logging out for all of your Google accounts and logging back into your main analytics account We couldn't find any Google Analytics tags on the page You don't have access to the analytics data for this page"

Not working with GA4. So useless.

Works well with UA (Universal Analytics, GA3), most of the time. Doesn't work at all with GA4 - so in a few months, this extension will be completely useless, as UA is being retired.

I have been using this extension for years and now it's been months that it doesn't work and keeps asking me to sign in. I sign in and it just keeps asking me to sign in again. I went to click "send feed back" to let them know about the glitch and it sends me to a google+ page saying..."Google+ is no longer available for consumer (personal) and brand accounts" nice...so how you able to contact them to let them know it's not working?!

Worst Tool Not working in my chrome browser. never expected such a cheap tool. Do not know who made this rubbish and why when it is not working.

Hmm... the most basic functionality is some setting to specify which GA account to use - I'm signed into multiple accounts, and have two GA accounts. I can't be expected to log out of every single account and log back in.

It's true that there are problems starting up, but it does work. I installed it and it didn't work. I uninstalled it, restarted my computer and installed it again and it worked. Done.

It just stopped working - have uninstalled - reinstalled - shut down - restarted. Use to work great - doesnt work at all!

I'm only signed into one Google account. This account has access to Analytics for the site I'm trying to view. GA tags are on the site. It still won't show me anything, and the support page they link to no longer exists.

I suggest we all do: Click 'Report' > Select option "Does not work" > Submit.

Google has chosen to let this extension die. I suppose they couldn't find a way to monetize it??? This was very useful for users. It's very sad when the tone deafness of large arrogant companies like Google adversely affects so many people. Grrrrr

Buggy mess. Loads on pages when it says it is 'off'. Doesn't always turn off when you toggle it. Overlays the screen with distracting elements when you never intended to use it. Other extensions manage this interface/functionality a lot better but Google can't get it to work seamlessly? Will be installing this extension going forward only as and when it's absolutely necessary. Or perhaps there's an alternative. Terribly designed.

It's not mobile friendly to use when I check the click rate on a mobile page via Google Chrome browser. The Top display board covers a large part of the screen and some links, so I cant see the click rate on the top part anyway.

Frequently Breaks and displays no information. Probably the third time I've reinstalled it until it breaks again.

Really? Doesn't allow you to select which account you want to use, can use only the default (primary) account. That makes it completely useless to me. I'm not going to switch my default to account that is used only for analytics and nothing else.

Not bad when it works. Doesnt seem to like newer GA360 accounts - when i try and change GA suite, my searches only bring up one of my accounts. As other people have pointed out, am concerned by amount of great products/tools being retired - like this one and ones in adwords. You couldnt even send feedback on this app as that function was looking for G+.... which has been retired!

The tool stopped working and continually asks me to log in. It automatically signs me in and goes to the GA main screen. It shows I'm signed in. I only have one account for analytics. The same dialogue box shows when I click on the extension, saying that I'm not logged in.

Since Google+ is no longer a thing, there's nowhere to put support... so I'll put it here. I'd really like this extension to be turned off by default. I access a lot of websites that my company has analytics on, and it's really annoying for the data panel to pop up every single time I hit a web page. When I want that kind of information, it's useful, but there's no way to default the panel off without disabling the extension entirely.

For those who say this tool is broken or doesn't show anything, you are probably logged in with multiple Google accounts. Make sure the Analytics account you're trying to view with is your (default) Google account. An easy way to test this is: 1. Open Gmail 2. Click your profile photo in the top right corner 3. Verify the account e-mail with (default) is the same Analytics account 4. If it's not... sign out of all Google accounts and first sign in with your Analytics account Hope that helps.

It doesn't work on my site. I've tried creating new analytics account, update the code, remove other javascript and still it doesn't work. I really don't know why.

I've been using this tool for over a year now and the frustration I experience with its shortcomings is neverending. I rely on heatmapping and more insightful click software when I can and often have to just hop directly into Google Analytics' app to finish my work. For an extension intended to make insights easier, it often torpedoes my workflow. I'm finally leaving a review in the hopes that the team responsible for this app will take notice of a few sloppy things and take steps to fix them: - The "Leave Feedback" tab on the app itself ironically opens a 404 page. Really, guys? You're GOOGLE. QA your work. (By the way, the 404 page has a typo in the browser title. It's terrible all around.) - I often can't pick a date range in Google Chrome because the extension just cuts off. No amount of screen resizing makes the date range visible enough for me to manipulate it. - The amount of work I have to go through to sign in and out of my main analytics Gmail account, uninstall and reinstall the extension, and refresh the page is enough to make me wonder why I'm still using this extension in the first place. I expect a lot more from Google—I guess because y'all should have the capacity and professionalism to fix things that are so obviously lacking in attention to detail and quality assurance.

I wish I could rate it 0 because i just spent 2 days trying to get it to work. same error as everyone else is having. just pull it off the store if it's not going to work!

Per the 'Overview' section of this extension "This product has been deprecated and will no longer receive updates." @google, why would you allow the download of an unsupported extension? Either support it or remove it...

Seems to break for any URL that contains Japanese or Chinese characters. Makes this a difficult plugin to use in Asia...

As other reviewers have said, it is no longer working even after removing and re-installing and signing in and out of all accounts.

When it works, it should have 6 stars. It gives great insights and is quite useful. As many others have noted, though, it doesn't work very often, and when it stops working you have to uninstall and then reinstall. I'm tempted to give it 2 stars for all the frustration it causes, but I went with 3 stars because, as I said, when it works, it is awesome.

Does not capture all of the page, and when I went to the support page I see there is no one managing it.

This tool is awesome...when it works. Of course, it rarely ever works. Every once in a while it gives me great insights (which is the only reason it got 2 stars) but it usually asks me to connect to Google Analytics, despite the fact I never sign out. It simply doesn't work.

I have to continually remove the Google Analytics extension from Chrome and add it again to make it work from week to week. Frustrating!

Stopped working.

The app keeps asking for me to loing while I am logged already in GA. It worked fine till some time ago!

The support page is a mess...I gave it a 3* because it work, but with lots of flaws. If i change the date range it goes back to default after refresh. I would give 6*s if it would keep the selected date range.

i can't get the page data to load. Does so intermittently, have tried logging out, loggin in, using incognito (where surprisingly it works the best(, reinstalling. Can't you fix this?

Worked for a while, now not. Same problem on several computers.

Like many of the other reviews - was great, but now it simply does not work. It simply is a referral to log into Google Analytics.

It has bugs stops working randomly i've had to reinstall it a number of times. Workaround is to go into chrome settings and disable then reenable If Google fixed that then it'd be an easy 5 stars

Useful extension, especially since in-page analytics is no longer available in GA. Regarding the issue asking for your account, the workaround I found was to to go to Manage Extension, find Page Analytics, disable and enable again. That should do the trick, until Google fixes this issue once and for all.

This use to be a very useful extension. Unfortunately it no longer functions and only provides you with the same support recommendation, which don't work.

Used to be great, until it stopped working completely. The worst part is when I click and it gives me the same, tired, unhelpful, generic list of possible problems, the "send feedback" option takes me to a google+ community full of the same complaints with no solution or even official response from the Big G. Thanks for nothing Google. Maybe you should look into a new app called Google Minus.

It's not working for me.

i have 4 analytics accounts with 4 different companies. Works only on one. Cant pick which one. Most of the time dont work even on the one that it is connected to. If those issues would be fixed would give a solid 5 stars

used to be a 5 - i have to remove and install it every 2 days or so. all the functions still there but keeping connected is the problem.

If and when (on the rare occasion) it decides to work, it's quite a handy tool, but that's the problem, it connects when it feels like it, usually when you don't want it and absolutely never when you need it!

I liked it, but now it's been broken for a week or so - for me and many others from what I can see from their support website. I haven't seen any replies to everyone's questions on why it's stopped working.

95% of the time it's not working, the plugin won't load

It doesn't work when it's needed. The extension itself decide when it wants to work! Cannot connect to the Analytics account although it's open in another tab. Not useful always.

Works perfectly

This is a great product when it is functional. However, it is rarely functional. It will tell me to log in, despite that I am already logged in. Even after I follow the prompts and log in a second time, it will never come on. Might work once in a blue moon.

Issue with menu as it does not function as specified on help page. You cannot move it from top to bottom or none.

When it works, it's great. But unfortunately I keep having to remove & re-install plugin, almost weekly. It keeps asking me to log in, even though I'm already logged in.

As of June 1, 2017 this extension does not show any data for sites connected via Google Analytics. The Google Plus "support community" is full of spam and no helpful information. I'm deleting from my computer.

Work for me! faster & easier way to get to analytic.

The Data Panel settings (aka scorecards) do not allow you to select Top, Bottom, or None as the documentation states. This prevents us from gathering in-page analytics for the top 182px of the page. Aside from this bug, everything else appears to function as expected.
