It's a nice extension but has a few problems. Some websites don't work well, especially instagram, You have to minimize the sidebar for it to work. Also why does it need to run in the background?

Multiple accounts seem to work for everything but the only website I want to use it with - Discord. :(

Incredibly useful if you're someone with multiple tabs open at all times. Before, I'd rely on the icon on the tab at the top, but if I had 10 pages from the same website open then I'd have to go through each one until I found the specific page I was looking for, Switch takes this burdensome task away by grouping them together under one tab and then giving a little description of the page when you hover over the icon. Makes navigating my desktop and the internet soooo much easier. Highly recommend.

This extension has undoubtedly improved my productivity. As a researcher, I am constantly battling with endless tabs in my browser and this extension has immediately streamlined that experience. I especially enjoy the ability to favourite most used tabs (for me, that is Gmail and Toggl Track) and the grouping of multiple tabs from the same website, e.g. OUP or JSTOR. Another great feature is the search tool - I can manage my google docs much more easily, and even search for google docs that I no longer have open, which is a game changer. Thank you, Switch.

Just started using Switch it seems really useful for grouping tabs and tasks within Chrome and making workflow more efficient when handling multiple projects, the spaces feature is really interesting!

My only complain is that the sidebar often causes sites to get cut off when it's expanded.

As someone who uses dozens or even 100+ tabs over multiple Windows (I work using Google Drive, Gmail, etc, I have multiple tabs open for research), this has been a gamechanger for me. It helps me organize, it helps me research, it helps me work without worrying where all my information is. I used the free version for months and am now strongly considering the paid version. Great product and the free version is very useful to see if this product is for you.

I installed this extension for a few weeks until I realized it has glitches that prevented displaying some websites. For example, with this extension installed, the simple front page at https://www.java.com/en/ is showing a blank page. I have repeatedly tested installing/uninstalling this extension. Whenever it is installed, the java.com and some other websites failed to load.

its good but doesnt work on discord

I likes the extension, however, it's preventing me from loading discord in a tab. While this app is enabled, discord will simply not show no matter how many times you refresh the tab. If you could fix this it would be fantastic! I'm using Chrome 90.0.4430.93 in a Mac.

I like this extension a lot - I usually have so many tabs and windows open at the same time, so to be able to see them all from any window is pretty game changing for me. There are a lot of small details which really make a difference, too (like youtube muting from the sidebar).

Rating a 1. The extension itself isn't terrible, but if you pay for the Pro plan, there's no way to cancel if you want out other than sending an email, and if your experience is anything like mine, you will NOT get you plan switched back to free and you WILL continue to be billed. Avoid. A scam as far as I'm concerned.

Really neat little extension which has saved me a bunch of time. I've found it particularly useful in lockdown as I only have one screen so managing all my tabs was an arduous task.

Awesome extension! If you have lots of tabs open this is a lifesaver, changed the way I use my desktop, can find everything so much easier. Thanks

I was hoping you would having to keep all your tabs open with this extension, but you still have to have your tabs open for it to work. I guess I just don't have enough tabs open at one time to make it work. Although at the time of writing this review, I do have over 25 tabs open. But with a 27" iMac, it's not too much to not see them. I guess I'm just not the target audience for this extension. I don't see the value in it. It also does not work on most websites correctly. Websites will be bouncing side to side as your scroll as they try and resize because of this workspace taking up some of the side of the window. Or words on the edge will be cut off. On Switch's own website, their install link at the top right was halfway cut due to this extension being on. I guess I can see how it's good for some, but unless you have 100 tabs open on a 13" laptop, I don't think it's worth it.

I've been looking for this exact functionality for many years. I usually have multiple tabs open per domain like github or colab or google docs, and once you have too many tabs open you can't even see the title of the tab because it gets squeezed to oblivion. It turns out this extension completely solves my problem with the extra tool bar that groups by domain. Absolutely brilliant idea and execution.

As someone who is constantly on Chrome, regularly having too many tabs open, this extension has improved my tab management so much. I no longer get lost in my browser, what a great product!

I just downloaded it on a MacBook Air and it doesn't work at all, can't open or use it. I guess only you'll only be able to use it if you pay. Uninstalling.

I'm a Stacks-browser user, but this is what made me switch back to native Chrome. Simon, is this still being developed? There's a few things I'd love to see; - Toggle for open link in new tab/current tab - Custom icons for tab groups - Notifications (always-on tabs) I hope you find the time to continue working on this extension as it can become a major competitor against the growing market of productivity within the browser.

Good idea, but not exactly working, because I need to zoom in some websites and this bar also got zoomed in and things fall apart.I need constant size for this bar. Also I need an option to hide it by default

I've never had a crush on an extension, but in all seriousness this one makes me feel warm and fuzzy. To the extent that I spend my life on the computer (quite a large extent), it has changed my life. I have tried about five tab managers over the years that all helped a little bit, but this one just blows them all out of the water. Perfect. Always available but not in a way that adds any more clutter to my desktop or my mind. I'm a little confused about some reviews saying it doesn't work without paying. I wonder if the extension has gone through major changes or if it's something like one reviewer said where there's an incompatibility issue. I'm tempted to get the paid version, and I might at some point, but for me the free version is so immensely useful all on its own that I can say all the stuff I just said without having spent a dime.

Been looking for something like this for a while, my tab management is a lot more efficient. Don't think I could work without it now. I love it. To get get the multi account logins you have to add another extension but was simple

Too slow and bulky. Just a glorified tab organizer when used without a paid subscription. For that use, I'd reccomend the far faster Aerys extension.

I used to use this super heavy desktop app to manage my chrome tabs because I tend to have 30 tabs open at the same time (I know, I need therapy) but the app was super slow and buggy. I really hated it and then stopped using it altogether. I'm much happier since I switched to switch! Switch is super lightweight, very responsive and helps me organize / search my tabs quickly. It doesn't take up any memory or CPU utilization and has a streamlined interface. It doesn't get in the way when I'm browsing stuff unlike other tab management apps I've tried. I'm a happy paying customer and will continue supporting the team since I know they'll keep making the product better over time. Kudos to the team!

Finally a good tab manager! Really digging this and glad I found it. It would be 5 stars if it didn't cost so much! I am SUPER disappointed to see the pro features are $29/year or $3/month. Even my antivirus and malware protection programs don't cost that much with the promo deals they offer. Sorry, but this kind of software is a nice to have kind of thing and you need to offer way more to charge that much. I'd consider $10-20 for a lifetime like a few others but that's it. Update: I've been using this now for over a month and I really like a lot of things about it and it has a ton of potential. I still think its costs too much and thus haven't purchased. I may delete soon though because it tends to mess up the display of some websites. I find if its active the tool bar will shift over websites in weird ways. As soon as I minimize the menu the issues go away so I know its causing them. I'd almost prefer it to have an option to keep it minimized on each new page you load, or a short cut key to open it. I find myself having to close it a lot. Maybe think about moving the bar to the bottom of the page? Seems it would interfere with the DIVs less that way.

Not free because it's a completely pointless piece of garbage if you don't pay them money.

Nothing you will get for free, the least you have to give them your email address to try atleast what the extension does and its really irritating. The price is too high atleast for a person living in a third world country. Replaces your new tab setup without any heads up. Extension seems to be promising but the developers are very aggressive in getting what they want.

This is the browser extension you can't live without. You don't know what you're missing out. Upgraded for the pro version right away, I have faith in Simon's expertise and professionalism to make this app hit #1 spot on the Productivity Web Store. - Apex

WHAT AN AMAZING PIECE OF SOFTWARE! The price is small in comparison to the value it offers. That's less than the cost of a cup of coffee, a month! It's saved me so much time managing multiple email addresses and social media accounts, the google sheets/docs/youtube integration is just icing on the cake. Would recommend to anyone looking to take their productivity to the next level.
