Exactly what i was looking for. Better than "dimmer" on firefox extension store.
Only had it for a few minutes so far. But, it is simple, it's quickly and easily configurable, and it's the only thing like it that I can find that actually works, anymore. Edit: Well, dang it, I have to remove a couple stars. After using it for a few more minutes, I discovered that it completely inverts google searches, making them unreadable while the dimming is on. If it didn't do that, this would be perfect. The effect on the rest of the webpages I've visted has been exactly as desired.
After trying a handful, this is the first to work properly. Thank you.

Since the latest comments I see are from 2014, I'm very surprised that it works as well as it does. When you first install, you'll have to exit you browser, then it will work always.
Only works on the empty tab not on any website. I have the latest chrome.

I work from home and am on my laptop 24/7, since coming down with "SEVERE Dry Eye" I have dreaded even having the lid of my laptop open. The only other similar download is f.lux BUT I am temporarily using a chrome book and have not figured out how to download it yet...Moral of the story this app has been a life saver or better yet an Eye Saver! Thank you!

Cool extension!
Excellent customization levels for ideal reading night and day ... and anytime in between. The context menu option saves valuable space in my crowded menu bar up top, too. Thanks for this!

This is a cool extension. It's not like most "night mode" extensions because it just literally dims the page, without changing the colors. It doesn't seem to work with the Chrome Web Store website though. I suggest a dark theme to go with this extension :)
