The August update bricked it, it was working last july then everything went wrong. The whitelisted pages still get dark mode, sometimes it works but very slow like for example, it loads in dark mode then after 10sec or more it turns off. Please return it to the old one it works well before the august update.

There's a stupid bug that causes the whole page to be black now, and the plugin telling me it's [day mode] ! I switched to dark mode in the privacy window and then just turned off the computer and now it looks like this

Great Plugin. I think people are crazy and don't have patience to understand its setting. So they gave bad rating. This is the best tool after I tried 6 different extensions. If you people rate like this, then this tool may not be updated.

Works really well. Can you please add an option to exclude not the whole page but just a few elements from being inverted? As some pages have half white half black backgrounds. Edit: Bug with latest release where turning dark mode off and on results in turning on dark mode for all tabs on the background regardless if they're whitelisted or not.

This plugin is adware. It hijacked my search to force it to yahoo instead of google. even a search put directly into google.com. who knows what else it might be doing? Find a different version of this.

This is the best night mode! I've tested all of them and this is the only one that has truly black background. BUT it has many issues: 1. It doesn't work on some websites (reopening them doesn't help) 2. It doesn't work on internal tabs: settings, downloads, extensions, bookmarks & other tabs. 3. Text in italics is black. It should be grey against a black background like a regular text. I still gave it 5 stars cause it's so much better than other add-ons even with all these problems. PLEASE FIX THESE ISSUES!!

The recent update to this addon breaks dark pages by forcing a white background on html and body when night mode is turned off. Please fix this.

it works on most sites but some sadly don't.. like here on Chrome Web store XD. It might be just me, tho, I might be wrong. I did try to refresh and press the Lights Off button, tho.. so yeah. Overall, it's great!

it's good. no fuss and just turn on and finish. but YouTube videos are inverting in color. if that is fixed than it would be good. also another slider that controls blue light reduction would be nice.

PLEASE READ THIS this extensition itself is great, there isn't too much thing you can say however it cause really wreid problem when logging to several website, such as captcha disappear, or some prompt from website is not show at all, or nothig happened after u click "login" buttton it causes these problem even it is not switched on. i used several hours to find the problem which drives me crazy, and i really dont know why it cause these trouble. but after i tested one thing is clear : once i enable this extenstion, then the web prompt from that website just disappear, and if i disable it is working ! i have experienced strange loggin problem before as well, and i really dont know if they were also related to this. thanks, i hope this will help

good work, and I have used for a long time. but it's unhandy to click the right button when I want to turn on/off the light. maybe you should make it only a single button to switch on/off

Well mr Kouros.. its simple.. Us Losers found it didn't work.. Try watching Youtube in Cinema Mode and take a look at the Big White borders on either side.. stuff like this should have been tested out..

wow - dont know why so many losers are giving this low stars. very simple, elegant, and easy to use. unless there are some hidden ads i didnt see, this is a very good app.

it's a good extention till your open the downloads,bookmarks, no conection, configuration and extentions tabs, because burn your eyes. Please fix it!!

It's OK. One problem I've been having is that it displays text in italics as almost black against a black background. The only way to read italicized words is to double-click and highlight them.

Has issues where on multiple pages there are large bars that are pure blinding white light

You have to close & re-open tabs for it to start working, the best you can get, by far.

This extension is great! I noticed a lot of people are complaining that it doesn't work. When I first installed it I tried it on some tabs I had open and it wasn't working for me either. I closed and re-opened them (ctrl+w -> ctrl+shift+t) and now it works great! If you're having issues, give that a shot. Please give this app a chance before complaining that it doesn't work!

Waste! Don't install this and waste your time.

I gotta cancel out some of these negatives. Had to reinstall and lost this extension and it was so hard to find it again cause I didn't think it'd be the 2* one. It does what I want which no other extension can do, give me a better evening website viewing...the other dark apps don't seem to work on all pages, some just on youtube. Main issue: the white list seems to not always know which page/tab you're looking at, instead it maybe whitelists the first page you opened. Still, totally missed this thing.

This extension is a life saver! I have been spending a lot of time coding, and this extension really helps with eyestrain, and the colors work well. Even when when working on a virtual coding machine (which has black as background) and the screen turns white, I can just switch to day mode and adjust the brightness. My favorite and most-used extension to date! A big ty to the designers!!!

In my case, this extension conflicts with live reload developer applications like browser-sync and live-server.

I've only been using for a little bit and it seems pretty good! I really like all my pages being able to be in a darker view. I have noticed, though, that certain elements of pages aren't changed. e.g. italic text doesn't change, making it basically unreadable. If stuff like that could get fixed, this extension would be perfect. All in all though, awesome extension. Thanks!

Just doesn't work.

Loved it. It is a very useful plugin for reading code at night. It is the only plugin I found so far that includes syntax highlighting with dark mode. Loved it!

this is not night mode ext,, this is inverse-color mode ext. it inverses all the color, black included.

If you're looking to get this app for the sake of reading online novels, off of places like Readlightnovel.org, don't bother. The app doesn't work on many sites like that. Maybe revisit it once it's got a newer version with waaaaaay more web sites enabled for it, but for now it only works well for people that browse common social media sites, like Youtube or Facebook.

I found some difficulties while reading some contents on Wikipedia. Some mathematical terms become dark while using night mode. Please resolve this problem. It is a nice extension otherwise. Please improve this.

does'nt work with almost any website

Works well for simple black-on-white sites, but not so well anywhere else. The extension simple inverts the colors, resulting in gross, scary looking color schemes on sites with any non black and white colors. Also, it makes white-on-black text appear as black-on-white instead, which is the opposite of the desired effect.

Great extension, for especially those nights when you absolutely have to do some scientific research in the middle of the night and not wake up your wife while flashing your computer screen like a camera on her face.

Doesnot work on many sites at all, me being a coder, Doesnot work with neither of codechef , codeforces.

its great ... but while loading any webpage it shows complete white screen for a while and then it goes in night mood. I don't want that little break of white screen. I hope developers understand this and fix it ASAP :)

Great add on, but I wish Its wasn't just black and white. It should let you customize the color of the background, and the text, ect... Other than that though, its great! Thanks!
