Doesn't connect to password-protected SOCKS5 proxies, despite having the options to do so. Actually, does connect to the very same proxies when on Firefox!
perfekt!
This is a powerful tool and great power comes with great complexity--it's not for the average user. But as someone who routinely tunnels multiple networks with ssh for remote support and who always tunnels my connections out of corporate environments, this tool allows those connections to just work without constant messing with proxy settings. It is a must have in my developers tool kit. If you're not of the mindset of a developer you will probably find this useless frustrating and give it one star.
When this extension is enabled and I search for something on Google the browser sits and spins indefinitely. If I go to an incognito window without the extension or disable it and everything is fine. Fix. Your. Plugin.
Works fairly well, however it is LONG overdue an update. C'mon, 6 years? The Import/Export doesn't work, and logging has never been enabled in the Chrome version.
Doesn't work with SOCKS with authorization, just refuses to connect. The same Firefox extension works.
Awesome. I mean can switch too different proxies easily. Great ext. Thanks developer.
With the last version dating back to 2015 it would seem that dev of the extension is stalled, contrary to what is being offered in the Moz WX store for FX
- "Proxies" list does not always show up (have to exit out and come back in) - Does **not** remember login / password credentials for each proxy. When Chrome is closed then re-opened, all login / password credentials will be blanked. - For me, I have had Foxy Proxy disable itself with NO input from me whatsoever on multiple occasions. (Foxy Proxy extension menu spontaneously goes to "Disable FoxyProxy" on its own!) That is ***HUGE***. USER BEWARE OF THIS!!! Running version FoxyProxy 4.6.5 on Firefox is rock solid. This in its current state is a complete disaster. I can't for the life of me understand why everyone wants to use Chrome.
Perfect on Linux Chromiun 65. Im-Export via Storage Eplorer. Thanks
The best for me, use it every day. I use it with ssh tunnels.
IT DIDN'T WORK AT ALL!!!!
Folks completely broken both import and export. Export is destroyed by google API change, which is not followed by developers. Import is seriously ducked up because it would not accept Firefox's config. Add here Google's ducking with user's profile with often and constant user data deletion, and voila: you have FoxyProxy isolated in vacuum of stupidity. I 'm not going to config this extension manually ever again. Either developers fix import/export, or GTFO.
Current version seems to just consume an entire CPU core and cause websites to completely stop loading randomly (working one minute, then stop) until the plugin is disabled. Even when no sites are using a proxy (using the default rule with direct access). Things were fine until a couple weeks ago.
works fine for me
Doen't working well.
Actually it's the best of its kind..
awosomeeeeeeeeeee
The best! And can be used instead HostAdmin and e.t.c
it Helps Me Very Good!
This is really GREAT.
Works fine for me, but I don't find one essential feature: in Firefox I was able to set the default proxy to use system-wide (IE) settings while in this plugin I cannot find this option. This is crucial to me since I want all my traffic to go through Fiddler if it's turned on (and it changes system proxy settings) and run without proxy otherwise.
good
Extension is very good. The only thing that doesn't work (and hasn't worked for a very long time) is the settings export feature. I've tried contacting the devs on Mozilla IRC for a while and haven't gotten a response.
great work full for polosan kampret (y)
amzing
Export doesn't work, and has been broken for a LONG time. Will put it up to 5 stars when this is fixed.
Warning: This plugin embeds a Google Analytics tag. The result is that the IP address of your proxy, and a unique identifier assigned to your browser is tracked by FoxyProxy. I have moved to using SwitchyOmega, which does not embed any tracking into the plugin.
Brilliant for pattern matching, really convenient.
This is awesome man!!!!LUV IT!!
good
Works fine for solving basic proxy requirements (i.e.: getting out of the corporate network or performing tests). However, this extension is still not mature enough for more critical requirements such as privacy/security: the icon does not always tell the truth on the running configuration, which may have disastrous consequences in these contexts.
i love it crazy
it Great Tool i can show the surveys finaly
Really nice to work with!
I HATE IT YOU CANT DISABLE IT TELL ME HOW TO DLETE IT!!!!!!!
so far work flawlessly, awesome
Very good
NICE ONE
great
It dramatically slows the browser when it's activated. It's unusable! I am searching for an alternative.
Can't live with it, can't live without it. Very useful for those with multiple SOCKS proxies who want to use Regex patterns to determine which sites to use them for. Has a couple of bugs, some cosmetic and some just plain frustrating. For example, I used the export feature to export all my FoxyProxy settings from one machine and imported on another, only to find out it also marked all my regex patterns as plain wildcards. I had to go through many patterns and manually set each one to regex. Other issues are mostly Google's fault -- Chrome DNS leak. Also very frustrating, causing you to have to flush DNS by/and restarting Chrome -- Not much fun if you have dozens of tabs open.
nice
crap
The pre-defined pattern mode does not work at all. Sites that are whitelisted to a specific pattern do not direct to the correct proxy. Instead, all sites go directly to the default proxy pac.
great add on
dont work
The interface is poor and does not scale with the browser window. The result is that I couldn't find the add new proxy buttons etc. Overall quite poor UI design. The standard version does not have any logging so I am having trouble debugging my matching rules. I am currently looking for an alternative.
Makes Chrome unusable.
nice app.. thank u
It's the best proxy manager that I've found, but I'm not very happy with it. It causes sustained spikes in CPU utilization when loading pages. Loading a page with FoxyProxy's pattern matcher enabled takes about 5x longer than with it disabled, which is pretty awful. So there's not much of a point in having the pattern matchers if I need to enable/disable them manually.
Very nice proxy so good ♥♥
he is good
good but expensive for us. developers should think about its subscription price(yearly)
I didn't even have proxying enabled, and it slowed every site down. Chrome preferences took 3-5s to load afterward.
nice one
it's slowing my chrome down with 5 seconds or so each time I am opening a new tab or a page didn't finish to load. it sucks. I didn't know why it's slowing my mac down. I removed all my data and started all over again. Initially I thought it's flash. but no. amassingly.. it is this plugin
Works great. It's plenty fast, reliable and intuitive.
its good but very slow
Nice
Easiest and best for everyday use.
Helps so much for when I'm at school
Installing and setting FoxyProxy for direct connection makes Chrome faster than its default behaviour. I also use FoxyProxy for some proxy usage scenarios on a corparate network with proxy.
:)
Like this apps. Easy to set up and run
This is the best proxy manager for Chrome
slow
very slow
it's sucks after upgraded ....
Quick add doesn't work on first try
So handy to test websites
no option to route DNS through a proxy.
Does not work, configured proxies and patterns just disappear and reappear at random.
How the heck do I uninstall this? It just doesn't work for what I'm trying to use it for.
thats my essential request
3.0.5 (the latest upgrade) has broken the 'Use proxies based on their pre-defined patterns and priorities' option.
Normally a great addon that I use regularly -- with the 3.0.5 revision, it fails and refuses to connect to ANY site with the message "ERR_MANDATORY_PROXY_CONFIGURATION_FAILED" when used normally. 3.0.5 can still be used if you want to manually set proxies for every site you visit, but for anything more advanced it simply does not work at this time. Hopefully they'll fix it soon.
Awesome Chrome Extension! Would it be possible to implement an option to change the theme with the proxy?
Works great for directing connections down multiple proxies.
using latest version 3.0.4, in patterns mode the toolbar icon doesn't rotates or changes color.
It's fantastic works on block sites
so perfect love it
Thanks for fixing Foxy Proxy! It's now working again!!
Really great, absolutely love it
Can't even create a proxy anymore. It works fine on FF.
sucks
No sure yet
Proxy selection with regexps doesn't seem to work at all.
Works fine on FF. On Chrome nothing seems to work at all. If I chose a proxy from the list (whatever type, socks or PAC), the previous version resets itself to previous colour chosen, and anyway the proxy doesn't actually work.
QuickAdd doesn't work as expected (or at least as it works on Firefox). The texts were not addapted to Chrome since you can still see some "For this Firefox session only" and that kind of thing. There is no import/export option when you want to add a new pattern. That would be kind of handy and expected as it exists on Firefox FoxyProxy. Though.. It still works if you don't import your Firefox FoxyProxy settings, otherwise it will delete your Default proxy and then won't work properly as some people have already written bellow.
Useless ! Does not work when you have multiple proxies setup and want to use pattern selection to auto-switch proxies. Also import from FF version does not work. Disabling it now.
Used to be a great tool but recent updates have severely broken this extension. Profiles disappear, pattern matching is intermittent and sometimes breaks access to all sites, logo no longer changes color to indicate if a proxy is in use.
Based on recent reviews of FoxyProxy Standard, I almost didn't install this, but it's working just fine for me. I have a paid http proxy service that requires a login which I use with just one URL. I put the settings into FoxyProxy and it uses the proxy when I access that URL. It asked me for the login information the first time I used it, just like I expected it to.
doesn't work to switch based on multiple patterns.
Very help in Chinese
after latest installation it became impossible to work with it (configurations lost and no way to recover :( )
Completely broken in the last update. And it's already been a month since it. Moving on...
My fav from Fox!
I have to agree with others. I have been using this for a long time, since FireFox, and now in Chrome the latest version is basically unusable. Patterns seem to only work intermittently, and I am constantly having to tweak things where before it just worked
Good job... simple to change proxy and use it
