Great App but does not sync with browser extension. It's like having two separate apps waaaay to much work to use both.It should just sync to my account. Also there should be a way to share my list with another person especially if someone else does my cooking and shopping then they should have a shared access. Also on the app there is the option to select a third choice which is "limited" on the extension there is only two options "yes" or "no".

This is a really well-developed application; this extension integrates with most major grocers so you can see the icon (red, green, or yellow, with trigger ingredients highlighted) directly on the grocer’s website (we do a lot of online pickup orders) and it’s amazing! It’s definitely helped me learn more about some things that I thought were safe but are in fact triggers... I just learned from the team that this work on recipe sites as well! I don't see this link called out on the extension page, so here's that list of grocers and recipe sites fro the FIG website: https://foodisgood.com/support/which-websites-work-with-the-fig-browser-extension

This extension is literally saving my life! I suffer from a number of food allergies, and lately, it seems like food manufacturers are putting soy into everything. If I'd had this extension BEFORE I bought English muffins, I wouldn't have had to learn that the hard way!! It's also going to save me a fortune on groceries! Too many times, I've purchased something that I had to throw away when it was delivered because I can't access the ingredients on the store's website. I wish I could give this extension ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐.

I gave Fig a try and discovered the app did not interact with Canadian stores including Amazon.ca. Completed the exit survey when I removed the app, including in my comments a disappointment that it did not react with Canadian content. Received an email today from one of the creators advising me that the app has been updated to review more content. Gave it another shot and while it's not perfect (required gluten free diet, and products that have a GF logo (Thai brand Rice noodles for example) come up as "uncertain/grey") the app has improved. Great customer response! Those customer exit surveys do work IF you are honest about why you're not happy

I love Fig! I have problems with walking so I order from Walmart pick up. Before Fig I'd end up with items that I couldn't eat because of food issues I have, and would have to either give the food away or throw it in the garbage. I hated all the waste. Fig has saved me so much money, time and frustration when it comes to shopping for food, I hated food shopping. Now it is a breeze and even fun. I think out of all the many different types of apps I have ever used for anything, Fig is the best of them all. Most helpful for sure with my health issues.

Fig is a fantastic tool for effortlessly tracking the ingredients in the food you eat. Fig automatically displays whether food you are shopping includes ingredients that are not healthy based on your dietary preferences. I've really enjoyed using it and hope the word gets out!

I am vegan and just started using this extension. Fig will highlight any questionable ingredients and let you click them to get more information why it was flagged, I have actually been learning quite a bit from this feature. Overall its very intuitive and it's extensive list of ingredients lets you be confident it will catch anything you want to avoid.

I've been using FIG for about a month now and I love it. I am an oat sensitive, dairy free celiac so I have to monitor ingredients like a hawk. I still have to watch for cross contamination warnings on some things but fig has been a great initial indicator if something is even a possibility or if there's something suspect hiding in a mile long ingredient list. It's saving me a good amount of time and eye strain. haha! The creators have also been great- They helped me with a little troubleshooting and are open to feedback. Thanks FIG!

Fig takes all the work out of shopping for food online – no more scanning through the ingredients list for words I can't pronounce! Even though I don’t have a specific dietary restriction, Fig has helped me avoid added sugars and tons of other harmful ingredients I wasn’t even aware of. Absolutely love it!

This app is awesome! As a vegetarian who has recently been trying to cut sugar as well, it gets tedious having to read ingredient lists when I want to buy an item I'm not familiar with. This app does the work for me and let's me know if there are any ingredients I want to avoid in a product. Thank you so much to the creator for making my life easier!

Eating healthy really does not come easily to me. If I'm honest, it's not something I thought about at all until I realized how I was nearing 30 and started feeling kinda childish for being so okay with junk food. FIGS to the rescue, part one: this service makes it very easy for even a lazy gal like myself to fine-tune my groceries away from unbridled unhealthiness. Now I wonder what I was thinking, blindly trusting the food available to me simply because it was available, as if that meant it was just fine to eat! FIGS to the rescue, part two: I may not be able to trust all the food on the shelves, but I can definitely trust FIGS to do the real work of grocery shopping that I'd be way too overwhelmed to do myself.

In the era of COVID and all things at-home delivery, FIG has been a godsend! I've been able to keep to a health forward diet more simply and easily than I could have imagined -- no more tediously looking over ingredients lists or calorie / macros counts. I've tried Noom and other behavioral modification apps, and I've found FIG to be the easiest, most intuitive way to eat healthier and be well.

Whether dieting for a healthier lifestyle or a serious medical, I've never found a tool that was so easy to use that has made such an impact on my ability to stay committed to healthy eating. I especially LOVE the ability to read a real dietician's notes on any high risk ingredients.

I love Fig! I have been experiencing some stomach sensitivity and my doctor told me I may want to try a FODMAP diet. It was a lot of hassle to find the right foods and understand why factors like portion size, may change the FODMAP index of certain foods. Fig takes out the guess work so I can just add an item to the cart, and move on.

Hi there, I'm Andrew and I'm one of the creators of Fig. I'm of course biased and hope you like our extension, but I wanted to tell you a bit about why we built Fig in the first place. Up until 2014, I never really watched what I ate - no ingredients were off limits (truly the glory days!). That all changed suddenly in February 2014 when I came home from a trip to Mexico. I didn't know it at the time, but I had developed post-infectious IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome), likely from food poisoning in Mexico. I was having extreme GI symptoms like gut pain, diarrhea, and constipation. I could barely sleep through the night and was exhausted all the time. Life as I knew it literally came to a stop. It took me three years and too many doctors to count to put a diagnosis to my symptoms: IBS and SIBO (small intestinal bacteria overgrowth). In 2017, I started a Low FODMAP and low sugar diet to address them both. For the first time in three years, I finally felt like myself again. I will always be grateful to those on the internet who helped me find my way back to good health. The problem? A Low FODMAP diet is REALLY hard to follow. There are literally hundreds of ingredients you need to avoid entirely or limit portions of. I would spend hours in the grocery store with my partner reading ingredient labels and trying to figure out if a specific product would match my needs. Too many days, we'd go home empty handed. There had to be a better way. Hence, Fig was born. If I've learned one thing while developing Fig, it's that no two people eat the same way - and our unique needs change over time. We've tried to make Fig as personal as possible. I also know how important and significant dietary needs can be. Fig won't be completed overnight and we'll make some mistakes along the way, but it's needed and I'm committed to getting it right. As you use Fig, please feel free to reach out to me personally with any questions, concerns or ideas: andrew (at) foodisgood (dot) com. Thanks for placing your trust in us and for helping us to build this important tool. Take care, Andrew Hollar

My partner is allergic to gluten, garlic, onion, and dairy. Historically, he has only been able to eat food that we make from scratch at home. But Fig has helped me find great ingredients and snacks that he can actually eat! It's changed our lifestyles and helped him feel safe in the food he eats!

I like eating healthy and Fig helps me avoid a ton of crazy bad ingredients I didn't even know were in my food. I'm learning that the US lets food manufacturers include carcinogens and other bad stuff all other countries ban. Manufacturers also disguise sugars under many, many names to hide them from us. Fig helped me learn about them and avoid these too. Super helpful!

I was diagnosed with IBS back in 2018. I wish I had Fig at the time! It makes it super easy to find what is in the food on shopping for and works great on Instacart! Plus I can avoid additives like unnecessary sugars and sweeteners. It's really changed the way I shop.

Fig has helped me find treats to send my cousin (who has IBS) on his birthday, a cake to send my best friend (who is vegan) on her birthday, and so much more! Along the way, I learned so much about their diets and so much about what I was putting in my own body! On behalf of me, and my friends/family who I can now safely cook/shop for, THANK YOU!! :)

I have been trying to follow a Whole 30 Days diet for YEARS, but always end up making a mistake! Fig does all the hard work for me so now I can just sit on my couch, order snacks to my home, and finally feel good about what I am eating! It's awesome

My niece has a severe nut allergy, so I feel very nervous cooking for her when she visits. Now with Fig, I can make sure all the ingredients I use are safe for her to eat. It has given me so much peace of mind!

FIG has been incredibly helpful as I have many dietary restrictions, some even in conflict with one another. This has made planning my grocery list so much easier. Plus, I have learned a lot about the things I should be avoiding and the various ways they are described in product ingredient lists. This is a game-changer for someone like me!

If you're looking for a way to feel less stressed about shopping (and finding recipes!) for your dietary needs, this is it. Specifically great for low FODMAP dieters, keeping every restrictive diet attainable, easy, and even fun! Great way to add variety to what can be a boring meal plan

My partner has IBS and SIBO and we are constantly reading ingredient labels trying to figure out if he can eat certain foods. Having ingredients flagged automatically for us is a game changer. There are still some bugs that need to be ironed out, but I've messaged support twice and they've been really responsive each time.
