pretty sure this doesnt work anymore

It keeps asking me "Fullscreen on <website> should always: Ask, Windowed, In-Window, Fullscreen; PiP (if possible)." There's no ok button, clicking Enter won't accept your choice... And nothing happens.

It works but if we wanted a window extension, there's a very high chance that we will need "always on top" as well. I was hoping to find a one click alternative instead of copy pasting links to VLC everytime.

One of my favorite extensions. It just works. Whereever you had a full screen key before, now you can 1. Fill the current screen with the video, 2. Create a new window and fill that, 3. Use the Picture-to-Picture feature (not sure why you'd need to) 4. Normal full screen.

Literally been searching days for a solution like this. Have an ultra wide monitor but some video sites have a small player with the full screen option. I'm exclusively only using this for video content, which my browser hiccupped the other day and allowed a video to go full screen within the browser window. For the life of me I haven't been able to replicate it but I went searching since I knew it was possible... but this extension does exactly what I need. Full screen within browser window so it's not eating up my entire ultrawide monitor. Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!

The capability this extension unlocks is great, however, it needs a few more configuration options to make for a convenient browsing experience. 1) We should be able to set what the default action for every website should be. Right now this decision is made for us and set to "Ask" and that's not what I want the normal behaviour to be for a new website that I visit, I want the default to be "Fullscreen". Having to make an extra click inside the Ask window is an inconvenience. 2) We really need the ability to set keyboard shortcuts for the 5 different target options. That way if I visit a new website and am about to play the video, I could first choose my target as "Windowed" by pressing a keyboard shortcut like "Ctrl+W" (which would have been configured by me in the extension's settings) and then I could play the video and double click inside it to have it open up in a dedicated window.

Works very well on most popular websites (Youtube, Twitch), but recently on others it will cause constant extreme cpu usage under certain conditions (Ponopto with many videos embedded, Canvas with PDF files embedded). I spent hours tracking down why my CPU usage was extremely high when just browsing, it all came down to this extension. Sad that I will not be able to use it anymore, this was really a treat to use when it worked. Maybe this is an issue with chromium (version 105), maybe the extension, IDK.

This extension is great. I love the windowed option, BUT I wish there was a way to open windowed in a NEW window.

Been using this for a few years now and it's pretty damn good. I especially love the picture-in-picture mode, it gives you an always on top borderless resizable window. I like to use this while I play a video game, I can put a movie or a twitch stream in a little window in the corner of my game screen. Can confirm it works with Plex and Twitch.tv in addition to the sites mentioned in the description.

Works as intended and it's absolutely fantastic. This is how every website should behave - and it was once I've installed this extension.

It doesn't work. Using google chrome. I press full screen while having the windowed option selected and it just goes full screen like usual. I would love to be able to use this. EDIT: i figured out how to use it - if i have the option set to Ask instead of having the option of windowed selected, it will ask and work as it should.

I like the idea, and all seems nice. However, on Windows 11, the Windowed mode doesn't work as intended; rather, it behaves the same way as regular fullscreen.

After some digging into google, finally I found this gem. I needed it to play videos in youtubekids for my toddler, so it plays in the whole window area of the browser, without it taking up the whole screen when I click "fullscreen". Kudos to the developers. Simple but very useful extension.

Honestly an amazing extension if you use cloud gaming websites (Stadia and Geforce Now as an example) Both forces games into a fullscreen you can't change, unless you got this extension and use window mode, it just makes what ya want, a resizable window witch allows you to do other stuff while playing :3

Amazing! It works great when you want to have a split on your computer screen. I like having the function of 2 fullscreens on the Mac, and this basically gives that on Windows :)

good. but I suggest, you also put the navigation slider in it too. I cant move at any time that I like in the video.

Works great! I wish I could have it automatically apply the options per website, however, so that a site like YouTube for example would open every video in my desired option right from the start. Honestly, there isn't much reason to not have windowed fullscreen as default as you can still scroll down and have full access.

One of the best I ever used. All necessary features in one extension. I've used so many extension for floating video. This is the best. But I wish if I could use this extension on every website...

Exactly what I was looking for. PIP is my favorite mode. Couple of suggestions tho: 1. Remember size and position so when I restart browser/computer it will not revert to the bottom right /default size. (this is a bit annoying) 2. If possible move controls to the external window as well so you can skip in the video without going to the original tab. 3. More than one PIP would be great. PIP #1, PIP #2, PIP #3 so you can decide where to send your video. Overall great extension, love it!

i watch alot of foreign tv, and unless the subtiltiles are edited into the the video, they wont appear. everything else works tho

This is the best plugin on google chrome store, IMHO. It is a must in my opinion for everyone owning an ultra-wide monitor. Take my word for it, you will thank me and the creator of this plugin later.

Up until now I could exit Fullscreen and keep the floating window the same. Now, it suddenly attaches to another window instead of staying put. Very annoying. Ruins the whole purpose of having a separate resized always-on-top chrome window for vids and music. Please fix!

Tried it on the most recent Chrome on MacOS - it does nothing for me.

Works well for most video players I've tried. Gives you 3 options for full screen, real full screen, fill current window, or float into new window. I'm mostly using fill current window which works great.

Great functionality but I'm a bit concerned with the permissions this extension requires: "Read and change all your data on the websites you visit" seems excessive, and gives me some privacy concerns.

This extension is great, just what I was looking for to get maximum video size without having black bars. My only gripe is that you have to go through the little menu and pick the type of fullscreen you want. There should be 2 more buttons next to the fullscreen button and settings icon on the video to select windowed fullscreen or pop out instead of the menu. It's a small issue but that would make this so much more useful.

I love this extension, as some on with a compulsive multi tab habit, this extention lets me see any vid in full screen limited to a tab. Allowing me to watch something whilst I do other things. Thank you to the developers for not only creating this app but executing it so well.

awesome, this is exactly what I need. with always on top, this is a perfect way to watch videos on top of stuff.

Yes, I use multi monitor setup with grid layout and I like to have my TV streaming services running in a Window, this takes care of the job in a beautiful way. One additional option I'd like is "Windowed - replace existing window" so I don't have to move the resulting window back to the place it was, but it's a minor thing.

Doesn't work as of 12-23-19. When I try to make my webcam video fullscreen I get the extension pop-up asking if I want true fullscreen or windowed, but both options do nothing. Shame, would have been nice if it worked.

The full screen to window is amazing! it helps me utilize my 4k screen to fully by as I have windows organized in quadrants. I can now have it maximize to the browser window instead of taking over my whole screen! Great work man

This looks great - and so far it's working like a charm. Two enhancements would be really nice: - For ultrawide users: If the window could have a "limited maximize". I.e., it doesn't fill the ENTIRE screen, but only the amount of space necessary for video to reach maximum possible size, given the screen´s resolution. (For instance, on an 21:9 ultrawide screen, a window with a 16:9 video would only maximize to about 2/3rds of the screen.) - For everyone: A toggle to remove the border on top. I.e., absolutely NOTHING left but the video. (This would definitely need a toggle, since you wouldn't be able to move the window with this mode activated!)

Use a third party program for the hover or PiP for an always on top window. Deskpins is what i use, but do a search and you will find a few around. would be nice to have an option to remove the window boarder entirely for visual effect. Also would be nice to have the option so that the windows remains at it preferred aspect ration while scaling. Also one more thing! i promise, maybe an option to add a % of space bellow the video so that the controlls are moved to there. This would really only be something few would find annoying as I tend to watch alot of shows with subtitles on I can say that having an uncluttered place for subtitles to be shown is a huge help!

It works everywhere and it works great, but lately youtube fullscreen got broken, probably due google's changes to their fullscreen. A fix would be make it 10/10 perfect again.

Been searching everywhere for this kind of utility. It is perfect for watching multiple sporting events at the same time in a clean look that I can manage. If I had one addition I'd like to see added, it would be the option to have the video not popout immediately, but rather go fullscreen windowed within the browser. I do love that the popout mode has no url/bookmark manager clutter. It could just be an intermediate option. Thanks so much! Great work.

I really like the idea of this extension but I cannot get it to work at all. I am running Google Chrome version 49 (I think) on a Mac OS X 10.7.5. I have rebooted Google Chrome many times and removed and reinstalled the extension. Hope you can help

Great extension. But the 'maintain popup after reload the page' feature I'd kinda liked seem to be remove by the latest update.

It works, but there should be a shortcut to disable it. And a way to keep the windows always on top.
