It works too agressive at Soundlcoud.After few minutes images dissapear.New tracks stop loading and you cant edit ,delete track at playlist.

Perfect!!

It works great but not on Facebook. It does block ads fine but it lags massively and almost unusable. No adblocker seems to work on Facebook and still be able to react to posts or just even use facebook at all with the adblock enabled.

This extension unknowingly prevented me from using the superscript shortcut in Google Docs for years! I will increase my rating if this bug is somehow fixed and I find out about it. To check, I may enable the extension periodically in years to come. The hotkey is "Ctrl+." and it only works when I disable this extension, which I figured out thanks to the contributor at the following link: https://support.google.com/docs/thread/2767888/keyboard-shortcut-in-docs-not-working-for-superscript?hl=en

Promises block, lets many through

At first it blocked ads no problem, but now it blocks no ads and asks me to upgrade for money. and every time an ad shows up, a pop up also comes up saying 'upgrade ad blocker to block ads on all sites!' and it says it blocks all ads on youtube for free, but it doesn't even block ads there anymore. I removed the extension to remove the pop ups, I didn't even care about ads anymore, but somehow the popups still come and now its every 10 seconds? must be some glitch but i had to re install it and pause it just to not use it and only to get rid of pop ups. WORST EXTENSION EVER.

i think it works fine just got a problem evry week or 2 the ad block dissapears and turns into ring

Best adblock I've ever seen. Works on all the websites I visit, from Youtube to Trip Advisor. I Highly recommend.

I really love AdBlock. What I have found out with over 8 computers now, after installing the software, you have to give it maybe 5 days to fully install and let the software do it's job. JMO. On some of my computers, I have 2 to 3 SSDs 1TB or larger on my systems. All have more than enough RAM. JMO, after installing the software, give it at least 7 days for the software to do it's job. I read several posts where people installed their software and expected INSTANT results. Some of my computers were up and running within 24 hours. Some less. I love the software. SUGGESTION: just at least give the software 6 days to do it's job fully. This is a suggestion coming straight from me. I have nothing to do with the company or the software, FYI. I've used this for a long time and, while I wish it was more effective at times, it's the best free one out there.

This does piss all to block ads. Sites are still absolutely infested with them and this does NOTHING. Even has the AUDACITY to ask me to pay for it when it doesn't even do what it's suppose to in the first place! What a joke!

I recently discovered that my browser had been hijacked. Click the 3 dots (top right) on your google account page and check at bottom for the words 'Managed By Your Organisation'. If you have it, you've been hijacked. Took me 4 hours to recover my Google account. Fine for 2 weeks without Google Apps but as soon as I reinstalled this Adblocker my account was hijacked again!

I loved it till now but everytime I open something, it opens a new website asking to download an adblock entension. Could not skip the ad so reviewing with a 1*. If you want to block all ads, this no longer works. I have been using this ad block for years, but now they're paid by google to allow ads through their filter and now you can't even choose to manually block the google ads.

Used to show teens of blocked advertisements when I would open a page. Now many sites are showing ads again, and the block extension doesn't count any, nor can I right click on the ad and choose, "Block this Ad," like I used to be able to do. What happened? Also the right click, "Pause on this page," is not showing. It's as if it is completely emasculated. Please fix, or off it goes. UPDATE!!! Just uninstalled and re-installed and functionality returned.

i had ads that were constantly crashing a web page that i was trying to view. downloaded this and not only did it clean up the layout of the website but it massively improved the load time and responsiveness. and doesn't kill my laptops battery. Massive thanks to the Devs on a great extension.

THIS IS A LIFESAVER!!!! One of the most helpful things in the entire world, makes your browsing experience 10 times better. Some sites have popups for AdBlockers tho :( but it's mostly on articles and you can just use Postlight Reader (another extension)

Typical sneaky app writer stuff, turns on notifications to site like cnn, facebook which you can't turn off, creates more of its own ads than it blocked, removed it

Ran some tests my own, and noticed that Adblock will block less than 1% of the ads, while allowing others. Out of the 157 ads, it only blocked 31 ads.

Works on some sites, doesn't on many others. I'm on Windows 11. Latest Chrome version. Removing and reinstalling the extension didn't help. Currently looking for alternatives. Worked flawlessly for many years, sad to see the downfall.

When ublock origin and adguard adblockers does better job at adblocking and filtering then why does AdBlock exists? The pre-existing filters and filters that I choose to add also doesn't work and the issue of "Failed, download failure" throws up. 90 percent of sites know I am using this then this kills the purpose of blocking ads. Plus, youtube has two issues with this addon. First, the loading of vids is extremely slow or delayed when this is used. Second, it changes the url of the video from "https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pbfwHMdHnv0" to "https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pbfwHMdHnv0&ab_channel=TEDxTalks". Even their android apps are not great. I hope dev team has answers and bug issues here.

On YouTube, it only prevents the video ad at the beginning, but not the other ads.

I really like this ad block. I've been using it for a few years now, but I have had a problem using the hyperscript shortcut in google docs and just discovered that this extension is why. Very unfortunate.

the adblocking is great. but everytime it updates it forces a new chrome tab to open which takes over your screen even if your playing a game...

I had another chrome ad block that actually got rid of all ads but i had a problem with my chrome and had to delete/reintall it. I don't know why this one here is one of the only ad blockers in the chrome web store but this here sucks. They just want your money to actually block ads. Don't advertise as "Free" if you really just want to be a paid service smh

This is amazing. Adblock blocked all unnecessary adware on my PC it's incredible. On a specific site the code had been changed by intruders so that ads appear even though I turned it off on the website to allow ads; but they came. Soon as I installed Adblock all of those ads went away immediately.

I've had adblock and plus for years now. But both stopped working....Its been almost a week now though. Ive uninstalled and reinstalled since but it hasn't fixed my problem.

I mean, like it works fine. It blocks adds. However, to use it you have to pay a minimum of $5 "suggested donation" (it won't let you download without paying) and there are a bunch of other features that were advertised with this adblocker that are also behind a paywall.

It works really well for the most part! Sometimes I do have to go in a unadd it and then add it back because it stops blocking YouTube ads. After I do that, it's back to working normally!

It does indeed block ads. I've been using it for years. However, sometimes it tends to not block ads on Youtube. Currently I have issues with it showing ads and then it takes too long for me to access the extension in order to block the item on the page. By then, the ad has already shown and there's a second one that follows right behind it. I encounter the same issue with not being fast enough to access the extension to block it. Also, occasionally it will disable itself on a site without my doing. Maybe it needs an update but these are the things I experience intermittently with this extension.

I paid $50 for it with the honor system. Worked ok for a couple of months. Then got a new tool BCWipe. Then used BCWipe on my computer and it won't work unless I pay money for it again because it thinks I never paid now. If you are using Wipe tools don't spend any money on this.

It's one of the best ad blockers i have found but it does bug sometimes to i want work I would have give a 5 star but sometimes i have reinstall it.

This adblocker works just as intended, but I suspected it of causing status access violations, and potentially caused system crashes

AdBlock misses some ads, but not very many. Definitely worth keeping. Edit: It started missing more and more ads, lowering to three stars because it is no longer working as fully intended.

I love this ad block tool, but I am a premium user and I continually get "logged out" and have to go through loop holes to reenable my premium membership. Like every time I use Chrome on my Macbook... I don't know why.

Had this for about 6 months and now its giving me pop up ads, literally the thing it was designed to block. There are much better adblockers out there for free and this is probably one of the worse ones i've experienced yet.

Didn't you used to be able to type in websites and they would block them so you wouldn't get distracted? Did they get rid of that? If not, how do I do it? Overall, the rest is pretty good.

Worked perfect for a long while, but now the program itself gives constant pop-ups wanting me to donate or pay/subscribe to premium services asking for cc or paypal info. What a joke this extension has become as you have become what you were designed to block.

Went from great to garbage. They added a paid subscription for $20/year and now the free extension doesn't block all the ads. They basically just reduced the block list and are asking you to pay to have it back.

It works well but I got this one for a reason: it's ability to remove certain items on the page such as banners and other annoying pop-ups. Unfortunately, that doesn't seem to work—clicking the button to do that does nothing. Shame...

I Don't like this, So i was trying to figure out why YouTube kept saying i was offline every time i clicked on a video, and my Wi-Fi would be perfectly fine.. Until an hour or so ago my laptop was having this extreme lag, i took care of the lag, its gone but then i noticed all of my ad blockers crashed so then i started to add the ad blockers back on and this was one of them. When i added this blocker back on. i noticed how the videos i click on says "Disconnected reload" when i reload it'll be fine again until i click on another video and it says the same thing, ad blockers shouldn't stop people from viewing the video, it should stop ads from coming in. worst ad blocker yet.

It claims to be free and then sticks you behind a paywall (that you cannot exit out of unless you exit the page and remove the extension) where you are required to pay money to it. I do not care if it is once a year, this is not free and the extension is horribly misleading.

This is the best ad blocker, not great, but it is free and it works most of the time.

Have to turn it off, too many ads for money, all the time, too many ads, want donations, stop your own intrusive ads

I've been using AdBlock for many years. I couldn't imagine surfing the web without it installed in my browser, it's just that phenomenal at what it does. Very unintrusive and just works. Support the devs!

Just started using it. It works well. I'm using it temporarily because of certain YouTube ads popping up, but it works fine so far.

It's might be having issue because youtube could stop ads. it's completely broken tried reinstalling anytime. could you fix entire issue ad blockers on youtube?

This should be standard for all applications, literally

This extension sucks, it keeps crashing and turning my chrome window black and closing it, I will not be downloading it again, I do not recommend this ad blocker.

i use it on my croembook to and whoever says its a virus pls explain bc i havent had a virus form here in months
