What is this? Its just a blank page with a search bar that has no function.
Gives you an awful white background background, with a Brave logo and an address bar beneath it. But, it is nothing like the actual New Tab in the Brave browser. I would know, since I tried this on Brave, and know how the New Tab looks like. This is not it. But, besides the unlawfully awful page design, the actual search engines include every single one of the big 5 - Bing, Google, Yahoo, Yandex and, at the last place on the list, DuckDuckGo. But, there is not actual Brave search engine to choose from. So, you deliberately made a "Brave New Tab", which doesn't actually even use the Brave search by default. But even worse, doesn't offer it at all. It is very misleading from what a browser's new tab page should look like, that I am very assured this is not the official Brave company's doing. I not only advise against downloading this, but also advise whoever made and published this monstrosity to remove it.
I love it! Looks sleek and I love the customization option; it was exactly what I was looking for. Thank you to the developer(s)! I was getting tired of seeing Brave's 5 default new tab pictures ?
Why is there no option to add shortcuts? I want to pin all my shortcuts to the main new tab page as shown in your first photo but there is no such option in the settings.
It worked like a charm when I first got it. Searches are now stifled - I blame google and don't know how I can use it w/o down loading on chrome web store. I am not technical which is why I use a chromebook instead of a computer.
Switches Brave Search engine to Google. Why would I want Google as default search when I specifically install Brave for that function.
FYI, if you add this extension, disable all previous search engine extensions and open a new window. Otherwise, your chromebook will continue utilizing the previous search engine when you make new tabs. Search "sam brinton dog" on google or duckduckgo, then search the same thing on Brave and be amazed at the collusion. Thank you Brave, do not cave in to financial pressures asking you to change.
why cannot i access the linked apps on Brave as I did before on chrome ??
I got this to remove ads from YouTube and I still get ads
Got this extension so i could have a custom brave background which works, but keeps a huge brave logo in the middle of the screen. If there is a way to get rid of it, please tell me and I will delete this 1 star review.
loved it still needs something like 1. brave today (news) 2. brave stats (ads and trackers blocked) 3. change color of the logo text of brave logo
I cannot open the apps in the hub, i don't know why they are there
i really like this it works for my brave browser
Bookmarks in hub not loading preview pics, no option to drag and drop, no response from support. Seems like a bad review is the only way to get his attention, so that's what I'm doing. This thing sucks big time right now.
Works! Can you allow us to upload our own videos for the background as well? Or use the same background as the theme we're using?
I will give it a 3 star review becuse: you cannot change that background. But anything else i ok
Has all the features I was looking for. Great extension. Looks nice and clean. However I would like to have seen two options kept from the default Brave Tab. I picked this extension originally based on their description. The following quote is misleading "while still incorporating Brave-oriented features." 1. The statistics that show how many ad were blocked, bandwidth used, and time saved. 2. The Brave Today ability. I liked scrolling thru relevant news on the new tab.
Please add a feature to add custom site card on home page too!
Its simple. . . And allows for more abilities such as having a hotlink to sites like normal chrome does. . . however you can easily change from chrome to duckduckgo or any other search engine, overall it is nice and keeps you from seeing irritating adds. Also it doesn't save your usage, meaning that if you do other things that you want under the radar it wont save unless you go and purposefully choose to save your previous session and all that does is remember the tabs open at the moment you save.
