Excellent ... was just what I was looking for!

Amazed at how it is able to retain most color contrast after darkening the interface, unlike many other darkening plugins. Very satisfied. Only very occasionally I need to turn on and off the plugin to work on some sites like this one: https://docs.python.org/3.3/library/argparse.html

Absolutely clutch when there isn't a default option for dark mode.

Best darkmode extension I've found. Offers a lot of usability and customization options but darkens pages that other extensions simply cannot.

Essential extension considering most web pages are blinding white themed.

Now I don't get flashbanged at night when i open chrome.

This add-on helps so much when I get to web pages that are absolutely not dyslexia friendly. It helps me read long documents that were once too bright to look at for more than 2 minutes.

Works better and does more than expected

Exactly what I needed! It does a far better job with the page colors as compared to the apps of this category that just fill it all with a uniform brownish tint.

I love this extension for the contrast in dark mode - such as making all the buttons and links white in YouTube (not all extensions do this). I can also manually adjust the brightness and contrast when using dark mode.

Its a very good app as i use winodws 7 s google does not give me the option to turn on dark mode so i searched for an extension and i find this amazing extension

It just sort of inverts everything, so many sites that are already dark were made bright white. Defeating the entire purpose of dark mode. Maybe I'm an outlier, but just inverting EVERYTHING isn't a night mode.

There are some webs which can't be darked, like chrome.google.com. Also, when loading white web pages, before turning them black, the white screen is shown, giving a quick and short white light shot. The rest of the time it works nice, so I keep using it. Thanks!

Super simple, just enough functionality. Love that I can adjust the shading and temperature too. One additional thing that would be cool, is if it could sync with the OS theme settings, so if my Mac goes into Dark mode, the extension reflects that schedule as well.

Adjustable brightness and contrast! Glad it isnt just ultra dark and we can adjust to our preferences.

WOW!! I have tried SO many different dark mode settings and extensions over the years and they were all glitchy or didn't do a good job at all. I literally added this five minutes ago in hopes of it working on a website that would never fully go to dark mode---one section would stay light and be incredibly annoying. This extension tamed the beast!! Thank you! This extension allows you to change the intensity of the effect as well. I'm looking forward to enjoying my laptop again with this extension soothing my sensitive eyes.

Best Dark Mode extension I could find. I desperately wanted to make my pages dark gray, as opposed to pitch black, and this extension provides this with customizable contrast. Also, it keeps all other colors on the page the same (as I've noticed so far), and it comes with nightshift mode!

easy to use if something is already in dark and looks blurry turn the URL switch to the side to clear the letters back to normal.

Very useful, it would be great if I could specifically assign dark mode to certain sites and night shift to others. Sometimes the dark mode works, other times it doesn't in which case I would like to be able to activate the night shift whenever I go to that site as the default rather than having to manually switch back and forth.

So far this is the best Dark Mode extension I've found. My only gripe with it so far is how it affects colours without a way of adjusting it (aside from disabling it for that site). I've had it turn a few pages that were already in dark mode, or had a darker element to them bright white on me a few times already. It's also just generally made coloured elements look muted and gross overall half the time. I over all really like this extension but I do hope that you add a slider or setting to allow for colour correcting in the near future.

I Was Working At Night And It Really Helped My Eyes!!! Very Nice Extension.

Awesome! Does what it needs to do. It's lightweight, easy to toggle on/off and you can add websites to a "whitelist" if they don't play well with the color inversion. NOTE: If you are watching an embedded video player, it's recommended to "whitelist" that site or the video will play a bit slower/choppy as the app tries to invert each frame on demand.

This is a good extension bc i dont like it when my eyes are getting burned with super bright screens

i love listening to asmr to fall asleep (trust me i know its weird) but it always to bright for me to fall asleep, the contrast setting and the brightness setting help a lot, 10/10 would recommend!

Best app for dark mode in sites it also has a reading feature which changes the colour of site to yellowish and its dark mode is amazing it is 100% working as of 14/8/2022 definetly recommend

Unlike many similar extensions, this one works in Google Spreadsheets and also offers nightshift, but sadly it's bugged not working. Please fix.

There's a bug in the night shift schedule. Do this at 12:30am (deep mid-night, or early morning): turn off the night shift schedule, set the schedule from 4:45pm to 7:00am, turn on the schedule. The night shift doesn't turn on at all.

very helpful for docs late at night

Very nice and works in google docs, which is what I got it for, but also it strangely changes the normally dark YouTube page light. I fixed this by adding YouTube to the list of websites I don't want the extension to work on.

Extensions does not work at all. Tried clearing cache. Reloading browser several times. Toggled extension on and off. Deleting it...=(

Listen, this is the best thing I've used for a dark mode extension so far. Do your eyes a favor and use it.

Only works on some websites even if you try flipping the switch on or off to blacklist/whitelist the website. Some websites it will only change the top banner and discolor your pictures. There needs to be a lot more work put into this.

If a domain name is really long then the button to exclude the site from dark mode is pushed out of the view of the drop down box of the extension, and so it cannot be toggled on/off. Secondly, it would be helpful to have a shortcut to disable/enable a site, not just turn dark mode on/off. Thirdly, in whitelist mode, there is no easy way to add a site to the whitelist. Fourth, your Google Site has no information on the "how to use" page or the "about us" page, which is a bit disappointing, especially since "how to use" is linked from the extension itself. Fifth, when asked "I have feedback" this just goes to the Google Site which also has no way to contact/report issues.

First of all thank you! This extension is amazing. The only thing I wished it had more granular black/and white site list.. example: "https://docs.google.com/document" vs "https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets" That way I can have go black only for spreadsheets and not for word documents in the google drive. Again Thank you!!!

Very comprehensive and a good solution to multiple issues I had typing at night. Customizable, lightweight, etc. Get it if ur like me and enjoy not being flash banged by google docs at 3AM lol

Works really well and is a nice easy extension to use!

Visually, this extension works but it cripples my computer's speed to where it's lagging really bad. Got this to make it easier to read youtube comments since their dark mode is really just a grey tone. This extension technically did make the background black which was pleasant, but ultimately is unusable. The video also suffers from the awful stutter due to this extension slowing everything down. Had to uninstall.

This is indeed very good add-on! Once thing makes it better than Dark Reader, which is also great night theme extension, is that in the latter inverting colors makes some letter and number in some sites look unintelligble, this doesnʻt happen in Dark Shift. But you should probably improve your logo guys, look at Dark Reader and Night Redux, they have aesthetic logos.

Great app

The best night mode extension I tested. It doesn't invert colors, just brightness. In some cases even that is not necessary, and some graphics could be left as they are (eg. logos). One problem: you cannot manually override automatic schedule without turning it off. Example: Dark mode scheduled for 7PM. It's 5 PM: user turns dark mode on. 7PM: dark mode already on. 8PM: user turns off dark mode. 9PM user turns on dark mode. 6AM: schedule automatically turns dark mode off.

Instantly worked and makes life so much better! It is absolutely necessary for those of us working in darkened rooms for video editing and who get up early, while it's still quiet. This is just what I was looking for and is customisable to boot! Excellent!!!!!

I really appreciate this extension because it helps with the fatigue you get from staring at a bright colored screen for an extended period of time. People who work 8 hours a day on the computer or students, I would highly recommend getting this extension. Fair warning, It may not be compatible with all websites and make some funky shading, but for the ones that work it is great!

So far it works very well, the only issue I have seen is dark mode not always working on an entire page. So, for example, the top of a page/banner will be dark, but the main part of the page will be left light, or the color part of the page will become negative (Often making it brighter than it was) in stead of the light spaces. Hopefully this will be fixed in the future. Overall, a very well functioning extension. The best I have used. Good work!

This extension succeeds where others have failed. The extension I had been using (DarkReader) was making Gmail freeze, and had incomplete stylings for some websites such as Shopify admin, which made them hard to use. Dark Theme & Night Shift is brilliant.

Brightness, contrast, grayscale & color temperature configuration! Along with site list & scheduling?! What more could you ask! Best Night Mode extension out there. Massive thank you from one developer to another!

This is amazing!!! I've been trying to find a dark mode theme for google the longest time. Initially I had only been looking for something for google docs but to no avail until I came across this one and oh boy was I excited!!! The reviews here were not lying!!! It really is great. A godsend when I opened up a doc or a site and see it be easier on the eyes during night time when I usually end up being active on my computer.

I absolutely needed something when I troll FB at night, going from darkmode YT to Twitter to Facebook is brighter than a midsummer day at noon when a white cadillac pulls in front of you that has just been washed and polished reflects the sunlight into your eyes. Thank you!

Perfect ! It works on every websites. A big plus is you can easily tell the extention to ignore a website (for exemple, Youtube wich already has a dark mode) and every options is simplified at its best for a better user experience. I tried several extentions like this one but this pp is the best so far!

Works great! All sites I've tried easily switch over to dark mode, and while some look a little odd, it's worth it in my opinion. Also, the whtielist works great for adding exceptions! I have been able to block sites like youtube, which already have a dark mode, from being changed by this add-on. Would recommend.
