I never thought i'd rate an extension one day, and here we are. one of those features I didn't know I needed it until I got it.

Why does it need to read my browsing history thats so creepy

practical extension that could give you a-lot more insight for sure when watching a video but would have been better if we could have thumbed up or thumbed down a comment overlay in the video itself and maybe also reply especially in the videos where there are a-lot of comments to sort through...

I like this extension, but it could use a limiter of what comments to display depending on the number of likes they have. I sometimes get 0 or little liked comments that either only typed timecodes or ignorant unpopular comments. Thank you for the extension, though. I never thought that I wanted something like this.

Hi Kenny! I am in love with the purpose satisfying nature of this product. I have a small request though - Is it possible to improve the readability of the timestamped comments, it becomes impossible if the running video is with constantly changing frame or the video portion that falls behind the comment is light in colour (especially White and other colour combinations/variants of White). Also will you provide an option to choose popup sounds? Waiting to hear from you, I hope I am able to convey my thought.

It hurts to review it like this, But the fact you have to switch tabs is so infuriating and annoying that i have to take off three stars. Other than that, the extension is good, PLEASE let us respond in the same tab we are currently in, this is a big deal for me because this extension is almost perfect and i use it daily.

Does exactly what it says, but I had to undownload it because it turns out 90% of comments with timestamps are from idiots who think they're philosophers. Also, it would be nice if there was a way to like or respond to comments without changing tabs.

Stops working randomly after a few days so I have to delete it and download it again other than that its great!

would be great if comment stayed on screen when paused. I have to keep skipping back 5 or 6 times to read longer comments because the text keeps disappearing even though the video isn't playing.

I love this extension. It works great; you can even toggle it on or off through the YouTube sidebar! The only thing I would ask for is to be able to like and reply to comments through the lil pop-up on the corner. Oh well, at least you can pull it up. Other than that, super well made and deserves more downloads :)

Thank you for the extension! just one little problem, 2 days ago, youtube updated something on their website and the extension stopped working on mobile (kiwi browser). could you please update the extension?

Sometimes its just too hard to read, I prefer comments floating from east to west on the screen

This is the best extension of it's kind and I can't live without it now! I set mine to 8 seconds and that seems to work pretty well! Of course it would be amazing to be able to like and reply from the popup! But I assume it might not be possible b/c other comment addons do the same thing and open in a new window with the comment on top! If it could be done that would be incredible! A great feature request of mine is to have little red dots or placeholders on the progress bar that we can hover over or click to jump from timestamp to timestamp! Also by glancing at the progress bar wed be able to have an idea how many timestamped comments there are and where! With the option to turn it on or off in the settings! Thanks again for your hard work on this awesome extension!

i love this so much (but i do have sugggestions) make it so we can have a maximum size for the text box so long comments dont cover the video (either make a scrollbar or make them expand on hover?) make it so we can use keyboard shortcuts or a button on the progress bar so we can change which corner of the screen the text box is on during playback. since different parts of the screen get used all the time on some videos it would be nice to move it without havingto leave the page make it so we can like the comments without leaving the video a MUST HAVE extension :D

Genius extension!

I am not already using it, but I love the idea. Especially I literally always use YCS Extesion to search comment of my current timestamp.. but because it's not really good, when e.g I search for 0:56 but I got 10:56.. Which just give me spoiler? I (maybe) probably will not use this really much tho, but this could be really useful (So i don't need to scroll down to use another extension I use L) Edit: Just try it, it is great.. It just really glitchy rn

Doesn't work. I see the icon at the bottom of the YT screen so that at least is functional but seeing floating comments like the screenshots show? Forget it.

Excellent, and still works unlike some other similar addons. After using it for a day I noticed that it was sometimes hard to notice if a comment was being displayed, especially in fullscreen, so I had the idea to add an audio 'ding' bell when a popup comment appears, if you want the same: - search 'static\js\main.js' for 'o?(l=t', just before it add: var myAudio = new Audio(chrome.runtime.getURL("ding.wav"));myAudio.play() - in 'manifest.json', edit the last line to: "web_accessible_resources": ["*.svg", "*.png", "ding.wav"] - find a .wav audio file you want to use and put it in the root folder, name it 'ding.wav' Or, if you're feeling brave, get my version here and install in 'Developer Mode' with 'Load Unpacked': https://www.mediafire.com/file/ggpsx6gs2rl07ic/YouTube-Comments_v1.18.0-audio_mod.rar/file

Where has this been all my life?! Very simple and useful, but somehow, I can't scroll down long replies, I really want to read them :_: And, also devs, if you can add the ability to like and reply to the comments, this extension would be 1000% better!

Very nice and fun! A option that would be great is to show all replies by itself down the screen without hovering, and to set how long comments stays on screen.

It works fine, and seems useful, but for some reason fonts are defaulting to something that isn't the same as the youtube original edit: issue resolved, I had to update the extension by removing and reinstalling it, then closing chrome

Neat, no option to "show for x seconds" or anything though. Sometimes the comments are really long, and even when you pause they disappear, so you end up having to go back in the video just to read the same comment over and over

I've been waiting for this for a long time

This is one of those things you didn't know you needed until you use it for the first time!! It's more relevant in certain kinds of videos like meme-y ones than others but overall, this add-on makes my youtube experience a lot more enjoyable.
