It's not really an app launcher. It simply lets you categorise them. Fiddly. Hard to work out what it's actually useful for. Other than launching sites. But it's quiet fiddly to set up.

self-note: loved it before (don't even remember when or why) but i don't use it for a long time and now, in a chromebook, it's even more useless.

Great app with a few flaws right off that bat: --ability to put extensions in multiple groups --cannot sync across multiple platforms or PCs

IT WILL NOT GO AWAY. I was going through my apps a few weeks ago and started getting rid of apps that I wasn't using. This was one of them. Since then, every two to three days, it reinstalls itself and, every time, I get rid of it. IMHO, at this point, it is malware.

FANTASTIC!!! I really, really needed something like this. My only recommendations: * allow user to create more than 10 folders/tags * allow access from a right-click menu instead of the button uptop

Convenient! Perfect for me to have in nearby the omnibox - as I don't use the default 'new tab' page.

Yes, it groups apps and extensions, but it only seems to *show* apps in user-created groups, which is of limited use to me. If anyone knows how it to get extensions to show, so I could hide them from my main bar and yet still be able to access them, please do tell.

. Contrary to one review, AppJump ~does~ do extensions. At first use it seems well designed and very functional. . The DataRat .

It's great, but I wish there was a way to rename apps/links. I have many URLs that cover other URLs and apps. It is unfortunate that I have to remove this extension.

Kudos for folks at Visibotech for taking on this design and implementation challenge and giving us additional features and support for staying saner with installations of many apps and extensions. However, this initial design and coding need improvement in order to be easier/more practical/more reliable. As it stands, AppJump is unnecessarily complicated, laborious, tedious and frustrating to use. Both the design and coding of the extension have serious bugs. The list of apps and extensions, for example, need much better indicators and feedback about current assignments. The lack of this feedback to the user and indicator of their accumulating edits require a user to go back and forth between items and categories pages over and over again in a tedious, confusing and error-prone manner. I'm looking at the list of addons I've installed, and I want to know which categories one of them is assigned to...The only way to do that it seems is to select every category one by one and review the list of each to see if it includes the add-on I'm reviewing. I'm using Chrome 29 (neither too old or too new) on Windows 8 on a pc with a wide screen and good resolution. Yet when I click on this extension's button, I get a pop-up that is a mess of jumbled categories and overlapping item names in an absurdly tiny box. It's unusable. I haven't seen any disappearing edits so far, but others have reported so. Keep in mind, there is no need to reinvent the wheel here; there are is a simple proven design approach to this type of functionality that would make the intended ease of use much easier to implement and maintain. I suspect the best way to design extension is to place two listboxes side-by-side. The listbox on the left contains the names of all the extensions and apps a user has bravely installed to their browser. The listbox on the left contains the names of the categories being used in the quest for browser sanity....You stick "Add" , "Remove" and "Remove All" buttons between the two listboxes for managing the assignment of add-ons to one or more categories on the right. ...Then you add some helpful view filters above each listbox, and some sorting options below each listbox, such as "Type of Add-On", Date of adding it to browser, empty/single/multiple assignments per category, New/All, Enabled/Disabled....and generously include appreciated indicators before and after each item in the lists (such as number of categories an add-on is already assigned to, an [A] or [E] prefix for when the add-on list shows both all together. You add an edit field with "Apply", "Add" and "Delete" below the category list...Refine, Debug, Tweak, Done. I appreciate that developers don't want to discourage others from trying their add-ons, and we all want just praise and high thumbs-up. However if I submit this inside a support channel, then millions of other potential users will not gain the benefit of my experience. Which is what they are looking at the reviews for. If you're up for the challenge, improve what you've started. I'll keep trying it out.

I just wish it would sync between computers - or at least allow an export/import function.

I was looking for something that let me organize all my web apps without opening a Chrome tab page. AppJump does exactly this but this is still room for improvements: **** I've lost my groups after reinstalling Chrome and it doesn't work on multiple computers therefore. This is a real design flaw and is worth to decrease rating by one star. **** - Change ordering of groups - Put app in multiple groups. A tagging concept would be nicier. I could than organize apps for certain tasks / projects / situations. - Groups are only locally stored it seems. - The App list should be more compact let's say with a compact view mode listing only apps with options and advanced view with everthing. - The should definitely a option for the initial group that is being displayed when opening the menu. The 'All' group as initial group is annoying if one organized everything in groups. - A keyboard shortcut for opening the menu. Nevertheless a very useful app in its current state. Great work.

It was looking pretty cool, but it "forgets" whole groups and doesn't handle extensions. I was looking for something that would switch between sets of apps an extensions, sort of reconfiguring chrome for different tasks and this isn't it. The rating I gave it however is only because of the bugs and not actually handling extensions in any meaningful way. In reality, beyond filtering what apps and extensions you see at one time I don't see anything this does the extension page doesnt' (except not provide as much info)

Slowly, as I discover how cool and how many Chrome apps there are, and add them to my chrome, it gets full of apps with no way to make them fast to find. By GROUPING - which this app does well, this is possible now. It would be nice if they included a Screen Cap on the app page to show how simply designed it is to use. "It is a great app if you use apps."

I had no idea what I was looking for until I found your app. This is it. This is what I needed. :) Thank you. My poor little Macbook is old and she needs all the memory and resources she can get. This makes managing apps and extensions simple and I love how fast it is. *Narrows eyes at the Chrome store* For all you 'OTHER', slow opening apps wasting everyone's time, "Ain't nobody got time for that!!!!" We need more speedy ext like AppJump App Launcher and Organizer. 5 Stars on google, but in my heart? Ten stars 4evah (One quick thing though, guys? You're marketing to lazy web surfers so maybe go with a shorter title like: HALP, AppNap, or ShutTheAppUP.. just sayin'. If I can't be bothered to click two extra times to organize my extensions... what are the odds I'm going to recommend an app with a name longer than my ADHD medication?)

Great app, however I wish I could see the extensions from the icon on the desktop. I have to click on the icon then go to Manage Apps & Extensions then select the extension. Of course I could unhide my extensions, but then there's no point in having the App Launcher. Please add this function. Still love the extensions

Easily the best app launching app for one important reason: the ability to sort and organize apps into groups. The support for this app was unparalleled: Had a couple of bugs not getting app categories to display, but the developer was more than happy to work to fix the issue. I sent in a screenshot via email, they pushed out an update, and it works terrific. Ever since Google took away the new tab page i've been looking for an alternative that works like it's supposed to and allows for custom organization. Great job to the visibo team!

Very nice app! Is it possible to have notifications show up in the shortcut menu? I.E. making the "arrow icon" blink on new mail, new RRS news etc. and then display the number of unread mails in the Applaunch window.

Very handy extension, but there is one key issue that needs sorting; after setting up a bunch of groups on my desktop and assigning all the apps to different groups I was very happy, but then going to my chromebook I found that the groupings hadn't synchronised so on my chromebook there were no groups! Doh! Consequently I won't bother using groups at all, because who's going to bother duplicating their work across all their computers?! Excellent aside from this, so thanks to the team.

I was looking for a way to view and organize ALL of my apps and extensions from one location... and I FINALLY found it! :D The interface could be improved with a few basic mods, but at least it does everything one might expect from the title.

In the "Manage Apps and Extensions" screen, provide a way for us to see which group(s) each app or extension is assigned to. Currently, there's no way to see which items have not been assigned to a group, and no easy way to tell if a particular item has already been assigned to a group without clicking through the groups.

Finally, a great app to manage installed Chrome Apps. I use Speed Dial as to launch new tabs, so apps don't show when I start a new tab. Also, apps are not listed on Wrench>Tools>Extensions (what's up with that Google?), only extensions. AppJump provides the list of apps installed and allows me to manage them easily. Good job!
