If you want to test xpaths, this is the tool to use.
Doesn't work. Interface not showing up at all. Useless extension. Don't waste your time.
doesn't work with dynamic IDs, should have an option to select by element position rather than IDs
Nice!
Does exactly what is needed with no alternative I am aware of. Simple and great in it! No bells and whistles needed.
best xpath finder out there
waste, block the entire view of webpage, there are much advanced xpath tool.
This is not working at all. Found super advanced XPath tool - SelectorsHub. https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/selectorshub/ndgimibanhlabgdgjcpbbndiehljcpfh/
No longer works. Clicking the toolbar icon does nothing.
Thank you for the excellent working to use Shift key to select path in order to be more patient. Excellent work.
Granted I only have experience using this XPath tool, but it did exactly what I needed converting lists into exportable tables! Thank you for developing it!
Amazing! Thanks for all your efforts!
Great extension, just need to change how to move the XPath window to make it perfect. I regularly lose my work by hovering over with the shift key pressed.
It's good but doesn't work on elements inside iframes. Please suggest on how to make this work inside iframes.
Doesn't work. Install > Reload > nothing.
Excellent, keep it up and thanks a million :)
I love this addon very much. Very handy to test out my Xpaths on a real page before adding them to my screen scraper. Wish it supported XPATH 2.0
trash
Thank you so much for the helpful extension. :*
waste plugin
I just started using it but from what I can tell it works perfectly and really helped me out!
Didn't work.. I'm using a mac osx High Sierra on Chrome 72.0.3626.109 and I clicked the button and hit Command shift h and nothing.. There was no xpath anything.
It does not work from disk and it does not work on XML files. An XPATH tool should absolutely work on both of these things.
It helps me a lot but is very buggy. Sometimes it doesn't open and I don't know why. Most importantly, it NEVER works for me on local html files.
it overlaps top of the page, so you cant see what is highlighted under popup of XPath Helper. I am using on Mac.
Very useful tool
The overlapping the top of the page makes it unusable for too many things to depend on
Cant even make it work
good
not working. does nothing...
Simple and nice tool. But currently it has two bugs: 1. it overlaps top of the page, so you cant see what is highlighted under popup of XPath Helper 2. It doesn't work for html files opened from disk. Seems you can use it only for web pages.
Not working... hence uninstalling.
Facing problem adding it to browser
Please please please add an option of using different button than shift. Lots of false-triggers when you try to edit xpath query and use shift-n-click technique to select piece of query
doesn't work at all
I really like this extension. It has helped me tremendously. It has taken me a while to get used to how the window is repositioned as I wish that I could drag it around more intuitively. But it suits my purposes very well.
get only text content..
Doesn't work on Chrome 62
fast and efficient! A+++
not working at all, this plugin is not updating?
Not working
Not working anymore. When I click on the icon, nothing happends
pos
Doesn't work on OSX
There's something off with the css properties applied to the query window, resulting in the query window being invisible on many websites.
not working on recent version of chrome
i think it will be better if elements are color coded like sublimetext. the extension works great! keep it up!
doesn't work on https://prs.moh.gov.sg/prs/internet/profSearch/main.action?hpe=SMC
Followed instructions, reloaded Chrome, does not work. Click the button, nothing.
good
doesn't work at all
It's working! it will be good to highlight items with orange or a more verbose color.
Useless. Doesn't work as described.
not working
sometime it doesn't work for some website. please kindly fix this. xpath layer like get blocked or something idk exactly. please fix it.
Fail; into the 'can this goes.
Doesn't even fire up with ctrl+shift-X. Junk.
1. Shift should not be used to capture path. 2. Seems to be not accurate <td> <a>link</a> </td> xpath: //td ; or //td/a ; or //td/a/text() will show same 'link' result
Not the prettiest thing, and it kind of get's in the way GUI wise, but I don't think I can live without this. You get results in real time, what more can you ask for.
Does not work on Chrome 55
Does not work at all. Clicking on the toolbar button doe snot load anything.
Version 55.0.2883.87 (64-bit) doesn't work
Not working if javascript disabled or html file opened locally like file://
Works as advertised.
Total bullpoop
Not working on Version 54.0.2840.71 (64-bit)
Doesn't work nearly as well as FirePath on Firefox, but its ok. I consider this app bare-minimum functionality for a tool like this. Sometimes when you enter XPath it doesn't highlight the element, making it hard to use for tracking XPath targets sometimes. It works good 75% of the time though.
Xpath helper extension icon in the tool bar itself not working
Amazing for quickly checking an Xpath. One feature I'd love to see in the future would be an "identify" tool, where you can scroll over an elemnt with the cursor and it tells you the Xpath - similar to the "Inspect" function in Chrome.
Has helped me verify a bunch of Xpaths while writing a front-end test suite. However I'd recommend composing your Xpaths in a different window (like a text editor or some such), as the default behavior is that when you hold down Shift, it "does stuff" (like moving the Xpath window or giving you the Xpath of whatever page element your mouse happens to be hovering over at the time, which instantly over-writes whatever you happen to be composing at the time.) There's nothing inherently wrong with these features, but as far as I can tell there's no way of disabling it, and that's literally the only thing preventing me from giving this 5 stars (otherwise it does exactly what it says on the tin, and does it well)
Thank you for this extension.
does not work for me on win7
Works as expected, great!
Very cool extension. Helped me very much
Thx man! Much appreciate! p.s. would be nice if you add relative path option.
Does what is claims, as far as I can see. Awesome!
works perfectly with minor bugs
Xpath helper - absolutely gonna help the folks but there are certain area which need to fix. for instance only few results are showing. even sign in button is not showing in results. if they could added short relative xpath path then for newbie it would be much need for them.
very useful for me, excellent work!
Currently doesn't work
not working for XML
does not work
Does not work for me. I'm on the latest build of chrome and Windows 7
Doesn't work/ start
Wonderful. Just what I needed.
Doesnt work at all
Works both on Windows and Mac.
Doesn't work in Windows 8.1
Works fine for me
Works ok with HTML but doesn't work at all on XML pages.
Doesn't work on OSX.
The thing jerks all over the place, often changing the xpath I have typed in to a random element on the page. Used to be PRICELESS, now it's WORTHLESS
doesnt work on ubuntu
Can't get the keyboard shortcut to work. Win 8.1
great testing tool for scrapy. work as expected
This extension works! However, it didn't really work for scrapy. I'm not entirely sure, but it's probably because scrapy uses version of xpath 1.0, and this extension gives output in xpath 2.0
doesn't work
Doesn't work in OSX...
works as advertised, great stuff!
Excellent. I've been using it for almost a year now, and I simply can't imagine working without it. It makes my work soo much easier. I would give it 6 stars if it only had an optional button to access it, a little configuration, and if it were draggable, as sometimes hides some content I need to see. Thank you so much, Adam Sadovsky.
Doesn't seem to work anymore.
Great and useful, but it covers the top of page, so you cannot see what you are selecting if desired element on top of the page. Please, fix it. Make a webpage appear below the extension window
