the image saving part of the extension works fine, very useful for avoiding downloading webps, but it changes your search engine which is not ideal . i just remove it after i save what i needed to save

You have to be an SOB to try and sneak a search engine hijack into your extension. Especially one that can't be disabled. Total slime.

Same issue as others have reported. I installed this app because Brave browser was sometimes trying to save images as .webp files. I was hoping this extension would fix that issue, not change my browser's default search engine without permission. Garbage. Uninstalled.

Used to give it a 4 star, but after having the add-on change the search engine, I can't stand this thing anymore. I'm uninstalling and hoping they change it quickly. If they do then I'll come back.

BEWARE! They secretly change your search engine to Bing and I noticed a weird URL appearing before my search saying: "seek.monnect.net". Google chrome also alerted me saying that it changed my search engine and was using "ecsmartfinder.com". This extension is either monitoring your search activity which is highly illegal, or they are receiving some sort of commissions for every search you make.

With the latest update It automatically changes your search engine to Microsoft Bing, and the only way to change it back is by disabling the extension. I don't want to use that! I want to use Google, as I've always done. It's such an inconvenience when searching for images to save, which is key to having this extension installed in the first place. It was perfect before this update, but now it's completely trash.

description says you can set a one-click default format, but you can't actually do that... the checkmark box is unclickable, I managed to tab focus the box, shift-enter uncheck the box, which was saved, but still it makes you choose a format

Was a nice extension until they monetized it. Upon the latest update it asked to "Change your search settings to: ecsmartfinder.com" Just another extension that changes the goalposts once you've started using it. Until someone else comes along to make a useable extension that doesn't spy on you, I don't mind the couple extra clicks. Extension removed!

Was good for a bit but then a random GIF button popped up everywhere AND they force you to change your default browser to some dodgy looking Bing then. Delete this and change to a different app, there are multiple others

Had an annoying download button in the corner of every gif. Endured while I could. Now it's resorting to trying to force the user to change web search settings. An automatic no no.

It seems that as of version 1.0.1 Updated June 14, 2022, they are monetizing the extension and they are doing it through what you search on google and other search engine platforms by tracking the amount of times you search and if you click on an ad, etc. Also, Chrome gives a warning since the permissions have changed with the new version and not for the better imo. The devs claim that they want to be upfront and honest about it so they say this themselves at the bottom of the extension's overview page. Be warned and use at your own risk, it was a good extension but not no more for me, I uninstalled it. It still does what it says on the tin, wether you want to pay the price for it is up to you. My rating before the monetizing version 5/5, my rating after the monetizing version 0/5.

It was really good at what it needed to be. Until it forcibly changed my search engine with no way to change it back with this extension enabled. Sadly will have to use a different service.

Works for exactly what I need. There was an issue with GIF icons but was quickly fixed by the dev.

Worked well enough until the most recent update, which covers most images in a horrible, distracting, and misspelled "download gif" icon.

Implemented a new "download GIF" button that overlays visible GIF's on the page. Please add an option to turn this off. Often, it's bigger than the GIF, obscuring it entirely. Extension is called "Right Click", so what's up with this?

If anyone is having problems with the icons in Gmail, go into the extension settings so it doesn't read or change site data unless you click on it. Problem solved! =)

Please remove the 'download icons' from automatically appearing on pages. With this latest update - some webpages are now littered with a dozen GIF 'download icons' from this extension - and there is no option to turn that OFF. You need to remove these unnecessary icons, or I, like many others will have to disable this extension. Like others here too - it also took me quite a while to search and find that it was this extension that had caused all those distracting icon buttons to appear all over the web pages.

Same as most other reviews. My Gmail became impossible to use because of Gif icons everyware. Uninstalled and reinstalled Chrome and still had the same issue so turned off each extension one at a time, Gmail went back to normal after turning this off. Wasted 2 days and nearly reinstalled my OS because of this.

This was one of my most used and helpful extensions for online research until a recent change was made; entire webpages are now covered in big, bold badges indicating that gifs can be downloaded by clicking on the badges. This renders most websites unreadable. There doesn't seem to be a toggle to disable this new behavior in the extension config menu - please add one. I can see where this would be a great feature situationally, but having it on as default with no way to switch it off renders this add-on useless for me.

This was super handy, but the recent update has a gif icon constantly in the way. It's pretty annoying, and I'd prefer it to be toggled off! I really liked it otherwise, so hopefully we can get a change :) Until then I will have to leave this extension off.

New update has made this extension unuseable! Now every gif on every page is covered up by a bright red "Downlaod GIF" [sic] button, making sites like Gmail unreadable. I don't need an extra button to download gifs, I can do that easily enough by right clicking. I just want a way to easily convert WEBP images.

The latest updated added the following "feature": Added a "Download Button" in the bottom-right corner of every gif on a webpage to download the image. This extension was good until the developer added in this "feature". It can make some webpages, particularly those which use animated emotes or icons, look absolutely ridiculous. The button is ugly and distracting and there is no way to disable it without disabling the entire extension.

it's good and does its job I just wish the downloads isnt always automatically directed to the downloads folder. I hope we can have an option to automatically go to the most recent folder we saved our file on like any other right click save as. So its easier to download multiple files without having to travel from the download folder to the folder we want

1. Doesn't remember previous image save destination. 2. Would be great if you would have an opportunity to set default extension like jpg. Annoying to choose again and again JPG from menu.

I like this! makes it easier to download/save images. Half the google images lead to odd blogs where you can't actually find the photo. This makes it way easier

It does what it says it would do perfectly. Just one more feature which would be a huge plus if available. This extension does not remember the direction where I saved the last image. That is, if I want to save a couple of images from a webpage, I've got to navigate to or paste the address everytime I save an image. It would be great if the extension remembers the exact address and bless us free from all that fussle.

It's great but would be even better if it could also save as GIF when required.
