best extension i have downloaded 10 of related extension but non work like i wanted alt + V its most desired function search very smoothly just need small improvement like talk back or collaboration between google voice

Great app!

Well, it just did not work at all. When clicking the mic, it says: An error occurred! I'm using Chromium browser of course, because the Google Chrome browser already has voice search function built-in so no need to add such a feature to it. So I must uninstall it for now. Hope you can get it working.

Simple, activate via browser extention pin-press, works perfect--every time!

Trying it for the first time today since the mic icon just stopped working on my default page on chrome. Beats having to open a new tab to search.

No practical value without voice activation. Given that voice control in theory should free you from pressing buttons and allow you to move away from the machine, this extension does not provide that freedom: you still need to sit tight and press buttons for each voice command. Sad, so sad.

Why is it so slow? I press Voice actions and it takes 4 second just to activate the input. Why?

This is the best app that has been made. I actually never comment on the apps I use but such a beautiful work needs to be definitely appreciated. Thanks for making such awesome app and if possible in future add a feature like ok goole kind of voice activation, this would take it to the next level. Keep continuing this great work!!!

This is the best extension ever! You don't know how long I have been trying to find this because I had 2 years ago and lost it. And now I have finally got it back.

So far, it's been excellent!! What I would want is to be able to automatically play as requested when I say "Play x song by x artist." Also, it'd be great to voice-activate the button, instead of clicking it first.

The search works well but arguably no better than Google's inbuilt voice search for most tasks. My main problem - it's so slow! I have a new computer, when I click the mic icon, it takes nearly four seconds before it starts listening, in which time I could've typed the enquiry myself. With the Google mic icon, it's almost instantaneous. Why so slow?! And why the built-in lag before taking action, that you can only set as low as one second? Also it would be more useful to have a keyboard shortcut to voice search, rather than just clicking the icon. As it is, it's far too slow to be usable - I can type in searches and be surfing before this sluggish app even gets out of bed.

I like this extension, but I would really like it more if it had commands to scroll down and scroll up, and if I didn't have to click the microphone icon to make it listen.

works well but it can be slow and it often cuts me off and gives me "error" seems like a quick fix so i dont know why they havent fixed it yet

I've used quite a few Voice Control extensions and this is by far the best! Although I don't like having to press the chrome button everytime to use it I wish I could just say something like, "Voice Action" and then say whatever I want like, "Go to Facbeook" and have it init that action. It amazes me that Google hasn't done this themselves. In addition I would also add that I would like to be able to do this in other languages too like Spanish for example.

Impressive voice recog. Still in beta. Performs very impressively for a still developing app. Look forward to what else it will offer in future. Worth the DL. Only thing would like to see is an activation phrase like mentioned in a review below. Like an "Hey Siri" equivalent. Otherwise it makes the voice control pointless. All in all though, cool and works well.

The only thing this needs a little bit of customization. For example, entering a term without key phrases would use the default search engine, but stating: "wiki america" would search america through wikipedia's search engine. So one would enter in specific key words or phrases, and couple them with different preset types of actions. I think that sort of infrastructure would make this app immensely useful.

Only needs 2 things: 1. To listen in the background for a (user specified) voice activation keyword/phrase. 2. Optional text to speech output of pages it loads. This would make it perfect for people with vision problems... and much more useful in general.

It needs a bit of work, I miss the option to open it by voice or to close tabs, but otherwise it is gorgeous, I love it! :D

Oh yes! This is awesome, and works like a charm. I missed that I had to click the microphone after I talked, but I like it a lot, I don't have to sit around waiting. :)

Please enable it by voice, i don't want to physically click the button each time.

The only thing i wish it had was a key word to say to activate the voice command .

One of my favourite extensions for sure. Works pretty much all the time but it would be cool if it had voice activation like saying "ok google" to activate it

I would like for the app to be on always or at least an option so that I do not have to click the button to perform each action.

So amazing... seriously one of the best apps on chrome. With this app you no longer have to go to Youtube, click and type what you want. You can just easily say what you wanna watch and BOOM it pulls up the most relevant video. same goes for it's other features. If you don't have this app yet, you don't know what you're missing!!

It most of the time either says no speech or network error.

I'm in love with this app only thing i can wish for is the function to activate listening mode with voice command like "Ok Google" also it doesn't recognize website commands like site[dot]com

I hate when google won't allow me to switch languages, OK I get it my language is not supported now, OK But I can't use it in english?? It's the same as chrome store, Until I'm willing to use it completly in english, standard functions are restrictect! FU U then. c'mon. Made me very angry and I apologize

This is really cool and I played around with it like crazy when I first installed it lol, I have recommended this to all my friends and I would recommend this to anyone, the only reason it's not 5 stars is because nothings perfect, but this is really fun/cool and I use it a lot when i feel lazy.

So far this is an awesome option for chrome reminds me a ton of Voice Browsing in Opera which I thought was the coolest thing ever -Really needs to have a 2nd activation method such a Hotkey or keyword

So far, it's on its way to being my third favorite extension (gmail checker and google voice are unbeatable). Two things I would love to see: activate it by voice and when I say "listen to <artist>" and music is set to google play, automatically shuffle all item from that artist. I don't know if the first one could be done, but sure the latter could. And to truly earn the best rating, make the voice activation phrase customize-able. Because it's such an awesome extension, I'm giving it the full 5 stars even without those things.

I've been looking for ways to Voice Control Chrome for a while now; gone through quite a few rubbish apps/extensions. This, people, here, is the best one I have found. And don't get me wrong. It is in no way just a "Better than", it is amazing. It is extremely accurate, easy to use. And also - this might be a minor thing for most people, but I really appreciated it - the Options page is very clean looking. If I had to point out any shortcomings, though, I must admit it's rather surprising (and disappointing, obviously) that you cannot voice activate the function; you have to physically click on the button in your browser. Other than that, I have absolutely no complaints. It's awesome, awesome, awesome, awesome. (I'll add the fifth awesome when it has voice activation) This extension really needs to be so much more popular. I'm surprised Google hasn't picked it up already.

I enjoy this app very much, and the functionality of available phrases is astounding! My only suggest (and this is big for me) is that the app be able to be activated by voice. In my opinion, it just takes too long to start if I have to click on the button each time I want to use a voice command.

I think this is a brilliant app, it works most of the time and can handle commands even when said in an accent. Cannot wait for full version

So the app does not work 100% of the time (it had 3 errors in 10-15 tries). But when it works it's so awesome that I figure it's worth 6 stars, minus one for the bugs, making it 5 stars :) Besides, it's Beta - I can only imagine how good the finished version will be!
