Nice to see how consumer-friendly companies' policies are at a glance.
Works very well for many websites, amazing that it is free. The list of good and bad is fantastic to have a quick glace when on a new website just to learn a little more about the website but also how I am being tracked on the internet.
Awesome service, everyone should have this. Sure, it doesn't support every website on the internet, but it's free and might just save you from signing up for a service you didn't *really* want.
A must have extension for anyone who gives a toss about data privacy! Just two minor suggestions: make it a bit easier to sign up for contribution (the option is extremely well-hidden), and promote your searx instance a bit (I never knew it existed!).
Changed the default search enginge without asking... or the need for it...
removed after the latest update changed my search engine was fine with it up to that point
It was good, but then it decided it should control what search engine I should use... what about no?
needs more info
It works but the servers they use are extremely slow. I feel like this is a dead project and trust me it isn't my internet.
Very important extension imo. I don't know how to ask the developer a question, but Chrome asks me to change its mode or turn it off entirely every time I start up the browser. Is this on the developer's end, or on Google's?
Absolutely love it! This extension allows you to easily get a feel for how your privacy is treated and by extension how you're treated as a customer whenever you visit a site. Unsurprisingly, it doesn't paint a pretty picture for most large companies. If you haven't checked them out, they have other solid privacy recommendations. This add-on is recommended by PrivacyTools.io and they have many other great privacy suggestions as well. Check them out if you want to be safer online. :)
I have a feeling this will come in handy. Working fairly good for now. Thank you!
Add more info and make it more great! Saves from reading all jibberish websites throw at you.
Love this app. Highly recommend!
Great idea. Very handy to easily discover how each website treats you (and your data), with just one click. Congrats and well done to those actually reading those T+Cs and summarising for us! Of course ratings can be a subjective thing, but there is huge value in being able to do one click and see a summary of the T+Cs of any website you happen to be on (that TOSDR has rated). As I couldn't easily find an appropriate forum for suggestions, I will write mine here: I think it would be better to see only the dot point summary first, so you can quickly get an overview of a website, and see important points. Put the detailed paragraphs and quotes behind an 'expand' or 'more info' button for each point, or put them all below the full list of dot points. This means people are more likely to see important points, and more different aspects of the T+Cs with one click.
Needs to be available for more websites. I understand how long and time consuming it would be to cover EVERY site on the internet (probably impossible, too...) but at the moment hardly any are actually simplified.
Love everything that duck duck go has suggested. Great company and glad to see they're doing so well. Promise to donate soon as I'm able!!!
A year ago I would have given this app a five-star rating, but sometime in the past year, the app has stopped doing anything at all!
It does not work at all.
No longer works. Hasn't been updated for four years, which says a lot.
Did not work with Strava - https://www.strava.com/legal/terms despite several attempts. Will uninstall
Didn't work, tried on the updated yahoo terms and nothing popped up. Uninstalled
Really good and useful!
Thanks to duckduckgo.com and creator of the extension
I was sent here from duckduckgo.com. Thank you for this amazing extension!
This coalescing of legal contractual obligations should be a legal requirement - companies can abuse rigidly precise definitions that are overlooked to non-lawyers (i.e. the common person) to benefit themselves and harm you "with your consent". This add-on will never be a disservice to your life. You don't read the ToS, at least read the summary!
Very useful community-sourced data. Unfortunately, Google Chrome's latest update no longer allows extensions to put icons in the location bar.
like the idea. most of the websites i use dont have it (maybe becuase they are european)
Fantastic. Vital extension.
Awesome idea, much needed.
Great tool!
Really good, would absolutely recommend; especially if you're never in the mood to read 6 pages of terms and conditions.
reliable [time+trap saving]
I love this extension. It takes all of that complicated mumbo-jumbo that these websites throw at you and simplifies it into something you can understand.
Great idea, and very helpful. I will share with my friends.
Now everyone knows what have been in the terms of conditions without having to read it taking 76 days!
Kinda sad to see that this was already made. I was just thinking about making this extension earlier today.
Needs to be be default on every browser, just like the https warnings we get. Get idea and initiative!
If only more people cared to read. Excellent job!
Really useful :)
Seems like a good idea, but I have no icon in Chrome v28 to click. Restarted Chrome a few time to no avail.
A helpful, much-needed extension. I just wish they had more info!
Nice extension. Works exactly as advertised. I can't wait until more site info is available.
Good Job!
