Dude, I don't mind you locking themes behind a paywall, but I shouldn't have to pay for a simple dark mode.

Notifications keep poping up, though I already dismissed them..

Almost perfect and so helpful I had no qualms about donating. Some slightly confusing / opaque configuration options (though I can get it to behave the way I want) and a few minor features that would be helpful, but the dev is very responsive and cares about clean interface. I love that you can just paste a bunch of garbage with a date in and it will add the event in a pretty smart way (though then I'd want to have a link to go to said event to make sure it's in there correctly :)

I cannot get this to work properly. Inconsistent notifications so I deleted it from chrome and now google calendar will not show notifications even though it is set to show notifications. No idea why this is happening.

About 80% reliable which isn't good enough for work, sometimes stops showing notifications altogether and other times shows the same notification 2 or 3 times including declined events even though they don't show on the actual google calendar

Amazing extension. Thank you so much. One minor thing I found: I edited repeating meetings (notification time 10 -> 1 min) and got popup about 1-2 days ago meetings.

Notifications do not work properly. For all day notifications I always get them 10 minutes before midnight, as it is set 10 minutes before the event. However, in G cal there is a clear distinction betweek event and all day notification. The only workaround that I found is to create all day notifications in G cal only, unless you want to be woken up at midnight.

We hate to leave a negative review because this extension did everything we needed it to...until we paid for it. Then it stopped working almost completely. We had to refresh and reboot multiple times a day. We missed several appointments (because we were relying on this extension), which was inconvenient and embarrassing. Again, it worked great, and did everything we needed from it, until we paid. If this extension is working for you, DON'T PAY for it, that might ruin a good thing. We hope the developer will find a way to fix the glitches keeping the extension from stalling out because we haven't found a better solution out there than this one (when it works).

Initially I was looking for something that I could have as an app on my desktop so that I could have one less webpage open. I found this and really like it. I still have to keep a page open but the cal layout is easier for me to view and stay on track for my workday. Thanks!

The extension is great and it works except for one problem. After I dismiss the notifications they appear again accumulated with the newer notifications at a time I'ven't set for them!

I'm just an American girl, sharing my honest feedback! The calendar is ok, not great. Work on the bells and whistles, acknowledge those who sent donations and do not badger them for more cash. I was harsh but everyone is not perfect, and you need to feed your paying customers with new features and no 50 cents here and there. I am not a rich american, but realize your development of apps handy for my needs, you should be given appreciation. Thank you Jason for your code, your creation, the checker calendar. freemium. asks for money to do certain things such as dark mode.

This is an extremely well-written extension, and it's the only extension I've ever actually paid for.

I'm finding that it does not refresh / update / sync with my calendar and it gets "stuck" at indicating that my next meeting is in 4 mins or 13 mins, when in fact it's in an hour+

It seems okay. But I immediately came across a bug within the first 5 minutes of use. When I want to copy and paste information from another browser tab, the name of my MD from a medical portal, then the address, when I switch tabs and came back, the extension closed. So I couldn't do multiple cut and paste like Dr. Name, Address, and calendar comments because each time I switch tabs, the app would disappear. So far, it just make more sense to add a bookmark to google calendar on my bookmark bar.

Update 1 Star to 4 Stars: Jason reached out with some instructions about how to solve the issue with previous contributions not being recognized (https://jasonsavard.com/wiki/Already_Contributed) and was kind enough to refund my latest contribution related to trying to get access to the dark themes again. Having that issue resolved fixes the only real problem I had with the extension, which was that it was frustrating to use on multiple machines and browsers due to having to pay multiple times to access the single feature I truly care about across all my devices. Otherwise, the extension works fine. I only use it as a basic calendar viewer to see what I've got coming up so I can't speak to any of the more advanced features. That being said, there are enough configuration options to let me choose how to display events in a visually pleasing and logical manner. In my search for a decent calendar extension most of the other options failed that basic test.

Probably the most useful extension that I have! Jason is an outstanding developer, and has implemented everything you may have even not thought about. The only limitations are those that are unfortunately already given by Google Calendar API itself. Amazing job! Congrats

This thing is so dang clutch, i had to buy the paid version. It's been almost 2 weeks since i've had it & it's been the most productive 2 weeks i've had in months.

Maybe I missed to read some instructions. But shouldnt it be plain straight forward?! My attempt to add a calendar entry failed (even after clicking the "red" button). Even after multiple attempts, not able to add events to calendar. I dont want only all-day calendar enteries. Its useless if it doesnt allow me to set a time.

This extension is excellent. I manage six Google accounts. This extension, along with the Checker Plus for Gmail, are a massive contributor toward keeping me sane. I especially love that it remains signed in. I clear my browser data regularly, and having this extension just keep working (no need to sign in again), is wonderful. A lot of the complaints in other reviews here have more to do with Google's APIs and permissions than it has to do with Jason's work. Ultimately, you are still using Google's platform, syncing and feature set. Well done Jason.

Looking to be an essential extension. Does much more than I could have asked for.

This extension is an absolute MUST HAVE and I cannot believe I have lived all these years without it to be honest! All the reviews on here that are complaining about tiny little faults should perhaps think about the fact that this app is F R E E ! Jason has made this and many other incredible extensions for us to enjoy completely free! There is the option to contribute to the projects financially , which I have done, but this is certainly not mandatory and the extensions work 100% perfectly without contributing. This calendar extension and his gmail extension have honestly made my work and personal day so so much easier. I was constantly missing emails and calendar notifications before as they would go off on my phone but that is on silent when at work and I am glued to my PC screen. So I would have to remember to constantly go back to my open Gmail or Calendar tabs to keep up to date. With this extension I no longer have to have this anxiety all the time and can simply relax, knowing it will do all the work for me. This also comes with notifications that are built into windows and you can delete or snooze right from the notification. Something I love , as I can get rid of rubbish in one click instead of having to go into the actual web app to perform these actions. Jason has truly thought of everything with his extensions, they have so much functionality it is unreal. I already feel so much more organised and less stressed out and I have only been using them for 1 day! You need not have any doubts about downloading these trust me, I have tried many others and nothing on the web store compares to these, go ahead and download them now, you really will not regret it! Thanks so much Jason for all your hard work on this and your many other creations, truly awesome! Keep up the amazing work!

A great extension for quick Google Calendar management.

I Absolutely Love this App! It took a little time to learn how to use it, but once I did, Wow! No, more forgetting birthdays, appointments and other activities. This is a Honest Review...

JUST What I needed! Just installed it, pinned it then set a date and it works flawlessly. Was even able to send invite to hubby to let him know of the event!! Works perfectly with Opera GX!

Perfect replacement for the Google Extension that was unpublished. Came in clutch because it's much more convenient than having to go to the actual calendar page just to check stuff. Being able to customize the extension view is also great. (This review is based on my initial interaction with the extension)

This addon for Google Calendar does everything it claims to do, with a great customizable interface. After a couple of month's use, there's been no surprises or gotchas... very nice! The Developer has the expertise and knowledge across Google Drive / Calendar / Mail to make using these platforms easier though these extensions. He is very responsive to issues and feature requests. Make sure to check out the Mail and Drive addons!

Good extension, but it has recently stopped working with MS Teams links, as it seems to corrupt the link now so I must still have Google Calendar open in a tab.

Amazing when it works as it should! Having a big trouble with editing recurring events, which will delete all past and future events, which in my job means a lot of trouble. I tried to find a solution and one was to reinstall the extension. I did and of course all configurations were gone!! Please make sure that you ask us to backup (if possible to backup) and warn us if it's not possible to backup. I thought it was cloud-saved. For now 3/5, when it works, it's a 5/5 without doubt.

It's okay. Not very intuitive... can't easily figure out how to schedule a calendar reminder bi-weekly and that's why I downloaded. Will keep searching for a better extension.

It's good, it does what it says it will. The double notification, however, is slightly annoying. When you dismiss the notification, it should dismiss within the extension. Fix this and 5 stars.

Great extension. I started using it many months ago, and it's very handy. So much so, that I made a 1-time contribution, to get access to the advanced features. As a note to Jason: I'm having sync issues. For calendar entries that get moved (i.e., the entries are moved 6-12 hr before their originally scheduled time), I still receive your Checker Plus reminders for the original time. I'm guessing this is a sync frequency issue? Am I able to adjust the sync frequency (e.g., sync every 30 mins)? Or, is this a matter of uninstalling + re-installing the extension to fix this issue? In which case, will I have my advanced features restored, or I need to pay again? Thank you!

Much better than what I used to use. The notifications are super unmissable so that's great.

Something is off with syncing. In google calendar all events with an AM time get switched in this extension to a PM time and vice versa. It makes all my events in the extension inaccurate.

Perfect! Really handy and Has So many useful and Unique features

I like this app a lot but I can't seem to get skins and themes rolling...I read the FAQs about clicking the menu icon on *the pop up* and going >skins and themes, but I don't get a pop up? As far as I can tell I don't have a pop up blocker or at least I don't get an "allow popup?" notification so I am at a loss which is a bummer because the themes and skins were a big part of the reason I liked this ext and contributed some money. Oh well.

Wish you could set the size of the calendar view from the extensions drop down and the ability to have zoom link show up in the pop up reminder so that I could go directly to the zoom meeting instead of having to click on the name of the meeting to open it in chrome and then open zoom

So Google limits the number of users per API for users of this extension? And that fee must be funded by the users/the developer? I had assumed Google Calendars in Chrome would have had a native notifier and will be checking that. Additionally the Google Calendar app is failing to notify on my iPhone, if that is the case I'll be abandoning Google calendar anyway. It would have been nice if all the limitations of the free version of this extension had been clearly set out in advance. As it is, they are like 'Easter eggs'. Uninstalling this extension for now while i continue to evaluate if it's worth using Google Calendars at all.

For some reason the extension has changed my first day of week to Sunday, before I had Monday as my first day of week. I try to change first day of week in settings under the general tab, but its just works for a little while, then it changes back to Sunday instead. I have tried to re-install, but no change.

i hated it bc i didn't let me put down more than 1 special occasions.

for basic simple functions of an online calendar you have to "Contribute" i'd be happy to if it was something that required more effort. Don't even bother downloading and wasting your time with this app (it's just a money grabber)

The new permissions require that the extension has full access to your browsing history. Not cool. And there is no explanation given that can be easily found on the dev website as to why they require full access to your browsing history and how will they ensure they don't maliciously use it or sell it.

It has recently become really slow (I've been using this for years). Both the calendar view and the notifications that pop up take a lot of time to load (think 30+ seconds). What's annoying about this is if I don't dismiss the notifications they come back again, loading super slow so I can't dismiss them again. Just a blank window blocking whatever I'm doing. So I drag it out of the way and continue with my work. At least I know when I need to check my calendar. The syncing issue is unfortunate too. When the slowness is addressed I'll change this review to 5 stars. Right now I really only use this extension to see, at a glance, when my next meeting is. Everything is is slow enough that it's faster to just load a tab of google calendar.

This is one of the most useful chrome extensions. But, what happened to it for the past few days? It's very sluggish, expands to double its usual width and then re-aligns itself. But takes 10-15 seconds to render the agenda.

Use this everyday and it works well for reminders that pop-up on the screen. As a dev myself, I can see this is a well-designed little tool. Thanks for making lives a bit simpler.

Hi, I looked around for a few extensions that would give me access to my google calendar and all of them seemed pretty wonkey acting and disorganized to say the least. But this one right here has been the safest and easy to access google calendar yet. I also decided to make a reminder from this extension and instantly after saving it, it appears on my phone with no hassle.

Really great, this is what I was looking for so long. In the end, I was going to make this extension myself. But you saved a lot of hard work for me. Thanks a ton!!!

Liked it, and donated. Nice, useful extension, but the icon showing current date on toolbar would be better, than now...

Earlier whenever I just keep my cursor on button of Checkerplus, it will show me the today's list, now with new update unable to use that feature. Every time I have to click it and it will open all big window which is very annoying. Earlier feature is good compare to this. So now I am uninstalling.

Now has access to your browsing history!! Great app and very useful but now with added intrusion into your data and private life. Use with caution

I decided to try out the new Brave browser (LOVE IT!), and while adding my extensions, I tried another Google Calendar app that wouldn't set up. I fought with it for hours and while searching for a reason why, I came across the programmer's website where he was being asked why this Chrome app wasn't working on Brave. Even though his focus is on Chrome, he decided to look into it. After receiving error logs, he worked his magic and it works perfectly! I now have it setup in my Brave and Chrome browsers. The app is very easy to setup, customize and work seamlessly with your everyday work. Since I tend to get hyper-focused on what I'm doing online, I love the popups to remind me that I need to close my laptop and get going. Thank you, Jason, for such a fantastic app! There are a lot of people out there who are having the difficulty I WAS having, and can't find the answer I was fortunate enough to find. I've already pointed several your way!

Again, another fantastic Savard App - intuitive, uncluttered, hover expansion, perfect. Most importantly, it integrates with Google Calendar and as a result, our team can use it because G Calendar has many complex features (such as write protect sharing) which make your integration and improvements very favorable. Also delighted at how communicative Mr Savard is which gives me confidence it is a live project.

Does not appear to work with the new Facebook Graph API. Which is the reason I downloaded it.

I am using several of checker extensions in Opera. All work very well. The gmail checker is so much better than any of the others I have tried I wish I had discovered it earlier.
