This tab volume extension says that it needs a constantly-open sticky window in order to maintain custom volume settings. Maybe the coding needs to get reworked, because there are other extensions that don't need an extra blank window constantly left open. Volume should be simply controled by the extension, per tab, and saved without needing fixed windows open because of "privacy requirement by the browser." Uninstalled until this fixed.

is good to reduce the browser volume.

Works for what I need (to REDUCE volume, not boost it) but it would be nice if it could have a volume knob like the pictures show, and not need a full extra window to work.

Wonderful! Precise adjustment of volume (>=1% change) and beautiful sound visualisation.

It's good but when you use it, it opens a new window, and you have to have it on and not close it, but I find it still good because, you can just minimize it.

I can turn down the music volume on YouTube for a whole playlist while also being able to watch something on another tab with the volume higher there.

Quick, simple, easy both to install and use. Stable and no complications. Users should pin to their task bar for quick access. Very solid and intuitive technology.

I've only been using it for a few minutes so I can't say how long-term it is. I have Twitch and Youtube running. Twitch is running the content I want to watch, but I'm missing music so I have Youtube on. But Youtube is too loud (because everything both runs on the 2nd screen, 1st runs PC game, I have 100%) Now I had the problem, although I do 1% it is too loud (Twitch Streamer has its stream quiet) With this extension I was able to solve the problem without any problems. Youtube set to 50% and I can leave the twitch at 100% and set everything the way I want it Thanks

Didn't expect it to, but it works well. though there's a lot of static, which I don't experience without the extension

I know Google's privacy rules forced you to change the app, but now it's useless. Thanks for the years of hard and dedicated work.

i liked it better before. now when i have different windows open and have to adjust it each time. the window space it takes up is kind of annoying too, sometimes if double clicked or other, it is hidden behind open tabs until i close them, then find a bunch of duplicate windows open. it is easier to adjust than the former 'knob' style tuner.

AWFU:UPDATE DO NOT DOWNLOAD THEY CHANGED IT. UNINSTALLING NOW!! SHAMELESS HOW THEY TOOK SUCH A GOOD EXTENSION AND DID SOMETHING AWFUL TO IT.

Seems more likely that an update to Chrome broke this plugin. I doubt the developer would change to this new format.

It really helps my volume and the sound doesn't sound busted.

I got this extension about a week ago, and it was great. It boosted the volume a lot so I could actually hear youtube videos on my laptop. Today I went to use it, and it looks totally different. It's not a knob anymore and it doesn't go up as high as it claims in the info anymore. It barely boosts the volume and has a crappier interface now. Disappointing.

Absolutely useless update to the extension! Do not install, there are far more better options now. Question for the devs - Why do you force users to have new open browser window at all times in order to have this active? - Why change the old way of using the extension? Terrible change, hop you revert it or try something else. Right now it shouldn't even have 0 as rating

It was decent (3/5 stars) before but changed it to be horrible, plain and clunky to use with the smallest of brain impleamentations.

don't download this extension, it got updated and it's even worse than before go download volume master

New update made it infinitely worse. It didn't need to go into a whole separate window, the small pop-up worked perfectly fine.

why "improve" a perfectly good working app???

DON'T DOWNLOAD THEY CHANGED THE APP it used to be good like the screenshots show, but no they change it to a disgustingly cheap looking version like it was made in 2002. i'm unistalling it now, go look for a better one, they ruined it

Used it for a while, worked as intended. But then they "updated" their UI to some ugly 90s looking window, that has to stay in order for the extension to work? Well, I'll find something else I guess.

I loved this plugin when it was a small drop-down window with an analog-style graphic dial that you could adjust with your mouse. Now there is a window that is harder to adjust and that says it has to stay open at all times due to "privacy requirement by the browser." So did Google enact some requirement that nerfed this extension? It sure seems like it. Sorry to see it go.

I installed this to use with Kaltura Events, which doesn't offer a volume control of the incoming audio. I needed to turn down the volume. The description of this extension didn't say anything about whether it could reduce audio volume, but I took a chance and I was happily surprised. The large volume knob looks cool, but I'd give up the looks for improved functionality. A simple slider that responds to arrow or +/- keys would be better. I'd also like it if I could access it via a contextual menu item, rather than adding yet another extension icon to my browser toolbar. If those things were improved, I'd give it 5 stars.

This solved my problems where my friends, on google meets, were the same volume as or louder than YouTube videos I was trying to watch etc. because Meets doesn't have an option to turn down call volume which is SUPER ANNOYING. THIS EXTENSION IS AMAZING!

It won't go any further than 100% and when I try to turn it up it jumps below 100%. Can't get it to work very well.

it's buggy, I cant watch full screen videos on you tube if I use this once, I have to reset my PC to be able to see full screen videos again, plus it's too big and covers a lot's of space, make it smaller for christ sake

Hardly usable with touchpad (specifically, MacBook with forcetouch) or Apple MagicMouse - volume level jumps uncontrollably while trying to adjust it. Please add ability to control using + – buttons or just click on 20, 50, 100, 250 etc value and get volume wheel to that position instantly. Other features and look are great. Thanks!

It works.....in a way. Sometimes locks-up, also very imprecise control of volume. TBH, I only use to control tabs in YT when I am listening to ambient sound at night. So....it does what I require of it.

How to turn it off without uninstalling?? Refreshing page doesn't turn it off. Do I need to close browser...?

It works, but it might as well be useless. The stupid dial makes it impossible to precisely control volume, and is overall a pain to use. Why is the dial my only option? Why can't I have a box where I put in the volume percentage? There's just no reason to have such a bad UI.
