I still can't do 3 vertical, and there is a gap, but it is efficient. Separate the windows first.
Doesn't work. I had about 12 tabs open that I wanted to see at once. Downloaded this extension. It didn't do anything.
why are there gaps left around and in between the tiles? can this be removed?
I'm using 4k screen and it would be very useful if the app could try doing 3:1 with 3 windows instead of doing 1/2 + 2/4
It has ceased to work correctly on Pixelbook. It randomly tosses windows about in overlapping clusters. It was nice once though! Thanks for the good times Manu. It was a 5* extension once upon a time.
It does what I expected with no surprises. It would be nice to be able to specify what window goes where somehow but I can't think of what the UI would look like so maybe not practical. It is very useful as is. Nice simple extension that requires only browsing history privileges.
Since the latest Google Chrome update, the app doesn't align the windows properly. Plus there is a red outline around the window afterwards. Help?
not working
great add-on for chrome. i routinely use multiple windows for multitasking. is there a chance to add which tiles i want to be on the right/left?. for example i prefer my youtube windows on the right and my email/etc window on the left. when you click the tiling button it seems to be random where each window is placed
Does exactly what it's supposed to. One comment - on Ubuntu I found it left some gaps around the edges of windows (when I tiled 4 windows).
dOESNT WORK
Works as it should. Make sure the windows you want to tile are open (not minimized). Click button. Profit.
First off you need to have all windows open not minimized. I have five monitors and opened different amounts of windows in each monitor and hit the tile button on one windows and it tiled the number of windows that were open in each monitor. Here is a great hint. open new tabs, make your window a smaller window but not minimized, now drag each tab off the window and it will open in a new window of the same size. Move each tab to other monitors and it will open on that monitor. Have fun Chrome is ChOOL
Does exactly as advertised.
Does nothing
This is fantastic, it serves my needs perfectly! :)
From what I can tell, does nothing. Useless.
Works fine on my Chromebook though it really isn't needed anymore because the Chromebook now has this feature built in. It would be even more useful with an option to tile two windows horizontally. For all the people saying it doesn't work: it's called 'Window Tiler'. It won't do anything if you have only one window open!
Seems to work with windows, not tabs. If all your open pages are in tabs in one window, it only maximizes it (at least on mac). A few more features would be appreciated, like custom sizing. Works as described.
This extension works really well except for one thing. I regularly use it to tile multiple windows, but sometimes I'll hit the tile button when I only have one window open, and it fills the full screen. When only one window is open I would prefer if the button presented a dialog to ask how many tiled windows I'd like to open. Just maximizing the window is functionality that's already available in most operating systems, and if the user says "Yes, tile just the one window," then sure, maximize it to fill the full screen, but it would be nicer to have an option to say "I'd like to have two tiled windows."
Doesn't work on my Mac running Mavericks. Running latest Chrome. A waste of time
This would be much more useful if it did the tiling on the display from which it was launched. Instead, it jumps to the main display.
Didn't work in my Windows 8 system.
I need an option to set size of window A and window B. Is there a way to do that? Or even better, for example if i have more windows, first i need it to be 2/3 of the screen and the rest in the 1/3 of the screen space.
Clicked several times. Does nothing. Running Chrome with Windows 7 on PC.
Simplistic app, but effective. Only tiles on one screen, but you can choose which screen by changing which is your "main screen" in control panel settings.
An addon to do what our Window Manager (regardless OS) already capable doing?
Handy. Does what I'd want and expect with dual monitors - tiles all windows on the primary screen. Only thing missing is that it can't restore window positions.
Doesn't do what it says - only maximises the window.
Awesome extension. Works for all my needs. Only suggestion is to add a hotkey
wish is worked on chromebook
Yes it Tiles all windows on Primary Screen in Chrome Mac but, clicking it again does not untile them
it works! but you have to have separate windows DON'T EXPECT TO TILE TABS, THAT'S NOT HOW THIS WORKS, IT TILES WINDOWS
I initially though this would tile individual tabs in Chrome; it does not. It tiles multiple Chrome windows and works GREAT!! I love this extension!
-No multi-monitor support, the type of system for which this would be most useful. -Caused some memory and lag issues, perhaps in conjunction with other plugins.
Works great if you have only one monitor. Despite a review mentioning the issue back in January of 2011 the developer has yet to fix the problem of the app forcing all of the windows to the primary screen.
Does exactly what i need
Does nothing in chrome OS.
Does NOT work on SS5 Chromebook - Stable Channel
