waste of ram for what should be a simple darn link in Chrome search engines, but you wont provide one or hide it. Forget this
The most recent update of the extension has been great. Taking focus of the cursor is a great change. This will always be the first extension I add on my browsers.
This was my best friend throughout school
Great extension!
Wolfram|Alpha is my life. I couldn't figure out how anything fits together without the automatic physical units conversions it provides. It would be even better if there were a convenient way to chain calculations: E.g. some kind of parenthesization. (Because of the natural language interface, the same string does not evaluate to the same value if it is used as part of a longer string.) It would also be extremely useful if there were an efficient way to use Wolfram|Alpha expressions in a speadsheet. For calculations upon which Congressional (and many business) decisions are made, we also need an auditable way to identify locations of source data and note the caveats which apply to them. (If, as is often the case with good ideas these days, there is already a way to accomplish these things, please let me know!)
very helpful app.. love it!!!
This is just a search box! It won\t give you any results on its own but just take you to the wolfram website
Love it, spares lots of time its the baest jack of all trades app out there
never leaving home without my wolfram alpha
love it
saves at least 10 students per sec.
Amazing. A must-have application.
great extension
i love this website :)) my favorite....
I would prefer if it had tighter integration with other installed search engines. It would also help if it either included or provided a link to the Wolfram CDF player.
WolframAlpha is Awesome but they really messed this extension up. I mean, why wouldn't you just open a new tab for this? The extension doesn't actually do anything. The only way they could make this better was if they made an interface that doesn't require opening it in a new window, it just opens in the extension. Otherwise it is just completely useless. Unless you forget the URL name :P
its so powerful and helping.... but if it was free to show solutions it would be awesome.... thanks so much
Amazing!
nice
Wolfram Alpha is the most educational search engine available. My school has benefited greatly from this engine, as I am sure colleges and universities do alike too.
Add an autofocus property to the text field and then it will be perfect.
It's very good
I don't know why it needs my history.
Love wolfram alpha but would like for this extension to have faster responses witouth opening a new tab. At least simple stuff like simple math. Some autocomplete would be nice also.
needs to give the answers without opening a tab
Love WA but don't see the use of this extension. Also, why does WA need access to my browsing history (see Permissions)?!
No helpful, Took lots of time to load results and the results are not at all relevant. altough i asked simple things, Like IP Address, Pendrive
AMAZING!!!
I really like this extension, but I do kind of wish that we could drag a set of letters and numbers to it after highlighting them. It's honestly fine though.
no show work
As an engineering and physics student this is a life saver. It makes searching solutions to math problems a breeze. GOD BLESS WOLFRAM
Incredible, so useful
The app connects and let searches right away easily. no haggle
Alt+tab is supposed to open in a new tab, instead WA uses your current tab. Would be much more useful if I didn't want to close any sites I was browsing.
This is not really an "App." Rather, it is a search toolbar. I hide the button. It's convenient to use by just typing an equals (=) sign in the address bar, press the Tab key, and then enter your Wolfram|Alpha search query.
Unbelievably helpful for my homework.
Loved it!
Works nicely and as I expected, it word be nice if it focused on the field when you open the extension rather than having to click to enter text
Great and very convenient for quickly solving some of the more complicated integrals I encounter. Also great at generating trivia! Really, it's awesome.
The "= " shortcut stopped working! When will there be a fix?
Cannot locate on Apps
It worked for a couple days then the = space and = tab stopped doing anything. worthless.
Love WolframAlpha, but hated this extension. The pop-up Ui is useless as it doesn't auto-focus on the text field. The search keyword thing, though, is frickin' useful. But they screw that up too by assigning it '=_' or '=__' instead of just '='. You can fix that in search settings, but I don't see the point of the extension then.
Great app and really convenient. Going through the address bar stopped working but it was just a matter of changing the settings back, not sure how they got changed in the first place.
It was great when the omnibar shortcut worked. Now it's not much better than just going to wolfram alpha directly. Fix it and I'll change to 5 stars.
Elegant and I love Wolfram apps
omnibox shortcut does not work any more
All this really does is give you a search box for Wolfram Alpha. It doesn't have an interface for the results, it just takes you to the website to display the results. And since it doesn't automatically focus the search field when you click the icon it doesn't even do so quickly. Might as well just create a search keyword and go through the address bar.
Usefull.
love it
Simple and excellent
Great extension! But lacks the feature that would exponentially make this extension better: on-the-fly computation of query without opening a new window!
god's gift to students
A very cool extension! Love it!
FABULOWS
Muy bueno! Es resuelto todos mis problemas de álgebra correctamente! GRACIAS, WOLFRAM ALPHA!!!
best calc ever
One issue I have had with the extension is that it keeps disabling itself, telling me I need to grant it more permissions (and its not even asking for permissions I haven't already granted it.)
Brilliant! Much better than the other extensions I tried!
I think the best part is that "= + Space" or "= + Tab" argument. It's allow me to hide it's icon from main bar.
Somewhat pointless. Chrome already has built-in support for searching specific websites. Just start typing WolframAlpha, press tab, and enter your query...
Doesn't work fine in Firefox. It modifies my own browser's setup every time I launch it... Disabled. I'll re-enable it when fixed up.
I want the results not in a new tab. Sux. Otherwise, I could have just set my default search engine to Wolfram Alpha. Same thing.
Perfect. I don't seem to have this tab problem - after typing into the bubble, my results open in a new tab after out-of-the-box installation. Then again, you can simply CTRL+T then search in omnibox.
Need more permission? Never mind. Clicked 'OK' and the browser crashed immediately.
need more permissions? no to me. disabled.
Not bad, but why does wolfram need access to "Your data on all websites" Very sketchy to me. I'm switching to a 3rd party add on.
excellent
I approve.
The button is OK, but IT DOESN'T FOCUS on input field upon popping-out, why?
great tool to have while in college!!!
Ask it anything. Anything at all, and it will answer you. (As long as it recognizes your grammer, of course).
So helpful for checking my math when it's all too easy for careless errors to lead you off track.
What's interesting is that Siri uses this for 25% of its answers. It's actually pretty useful, if you actually know what to ask it.
Great extension for quickly opening and searching WolframAlpha! I scanned a few reviews, of which I believe are outdated, as my extension opens a new tab automatically (for those of you reading the reviews looking to see if it's worth downloading). I will suggest one thing -- capability to calculate (at the least, basic arithmetic) without having to press [enter], much like the website itself; allowing for those of use who need to focus and solve problems without changing to a different tab than our work is on. Thanks WolframAlpha!
It only saves you about half a second, but still worth getting.
