it don't work
Adblock in the extension screenshot, ?cmon bruh
Doesn't even work
Kinda sorta works, but has a super-inefficient RegExp that ends up being 97% of the runtime workload of almost every page load. Basically makes the whole internet slower while making GIFs faster. Not really a good trade-off.
When it works, it's a really great extension. Unfortunately, it only works randomly and sparsely, like 2/10 rate. The right click option "convert to gfycat"/"revert to gif" doesn't seem to do anything at all.
They blocked gifs on imgur at work to save data. I cannot believe this existed exactly tailored to the situation.
Imgur gifs suck.
Doesn't really work
Works with Imagus 10/10
It's pretty broken (at least on Reddit)
It used to work just fine, but for some reason it doesn't do anything now. Not sure why it stopped working.
Doesn't work more often than it does. Mostly blank Gifs when using RES.
It works pretty well, like others have said sometimes it just doesn't work. On some pages it seems to never work, so I would like the option to blacklist pages from this extension so it a page doesn't work I can fix it.
It doesn't work all the time, and the injected script runs on mouse events on all tabs (i.e. bloat).
Why does it only convert Imgur gifs? Also doesn't seem to process .gifs that aren't actually animations.
doesnt always work
Godsend.
This put a smile on my face. Thank you for making GIF subreddits and the internet usable.
This is exactly what I've wanted! My internet is rather slow and loading gifs is a ridiculous pain. I used to have to manually copy each gif into gfycat and then watch it. This extension does that for me and is amazing!
Doesn't always work.
Works very well. Doesn't always seem to catch everything (but I guess it doesn't always from the overview). It would be nice to have the option of having specific gifs not convert.
How about adding the ability to STOP all animation GIFs? That's all I was trying to use this for—but no. I find it incredible that there's apparently now way to prevent animations in Chrome now. Should we actually be REQUIRED to have these goofy things spinning away while we're trying to read webpages? What's the deal?
I've been using this extension for a long time and love it. Lately though when a gif is reloading the gif sorts of closes and starts again instantly, even though this is not a a big problem it ruins looping gifs and cinemagraphs. Thanks a lot and I hope this problem gets resolved in the next update.
Would like a site blacklist, and other various assorted options.
Amazing for the most part, but doesn't work Imgur or RES albums. Plus, there's no way to load it as a gif instead, so you're pretty much screwed on Imgur or RES.
Works like a charm! I'm finally able to watch gifs without having to watch in slow-motion.
Works well, except for gifs in the comments.
This is a fantastic program, works exactly as advertised for me. No problems loading individual gifs, imgur albums, or gifs opened in RES.
Amazing! Can you make it work for commented GIFs as well? How about Reddit GIFs? OMG Reddit GIFs like this would be SO awesome :)
Works decently well, but gifs blink when the cycle is finished. Extremely annoying. Would also be nice if the dropdown menu was optional
Doesn't prevent gif downloading, wastes twice the bandwidth.
nice extension; wish it worked w/ imgur albums...
The GIF plays, then it's converted to Gfycat after a couple seconds. Annoyingly slow on RES albums. Completely breaks albums on Imgur.
RES album support still spotty, and it would be great to have an option to not convert gifs under a certain filesize.
This extension makes watching gifs on Reddit a much more usable, pleasant experience. Great work!
Great app that i hope someday will detect gifs from other sites that are worth for converting, and convert them to gfy.
