cool little thingy. Didn't have problems navigating the new icons since the only one affected that I mostly use is mail. Just prefer the old ones and this did the trick, nothing special.

works great thx! but one thing is would it be possible to have the calendar icon show the date? not a big deal bc i can see the date on the bottom of my computer screen anyways but it would be cool :) thanks again!

Disappointed. The fix was only partial (email icon) and then it reverted to the new one. I will be deleting the extension.

Not so great for performance... It constantly overwrites the HTML inside the page, on a loop. Also it only changes the favicons, not images on the page.

The only reason for google to exist is the apps like this one, thank you.

At the risk of sounding like a simpleton, this might be my favorite extension ever. I am so glad that there are others that dislike the new google icons and are smart enough to do something about it. Thank you!

Icons are soooo much better, but if there's a way to put the email count into the Gmail one and the date into Calendar...

I love it! It reverses Google's style-over-substance "improvement" of its icons. At the risk of sounding greedy, given that this is a free extension, if there's a way to add back the dynamic mail counts on the icons that would be great. But regardless - THANK YOU!

Good extension! Would appreciate if it worked with the unread numbers on services, as well as perhaps some other sites? e.g. Facebook, Messenger (purple icon makes notification number illegible), Google Search (back to the old blue lowercase "g"?)

With my 65 yo aging eyes it was easy to find the red M with white background. The 'improved' gmail icon was almost impossible to spot when other tabs open. I'm glad good the old red and white are back. Thank you so much!

And they are back! The old icons are easily distinguishable and I much prefer them. This extension like most works perfectly in Brave.

Almost exactly what I wanted. If there's a way to change the icons on the sites themselves that would be awesome, but this is a fantastic first step. Thank you.

Does not work with the unread counts in Gmail. The whole reason I wanted it was because the new icon makes the unread count almost completely illegible in Gmail. This unread message icon is a setting that is probably off by default, so perhaps most other people don't use it.

I just installed this and immediately gave a sigh of relief when the icons were reverted to the previous versions. Now I can easily find my GMail and Calendar tabs among the other 20-30 tabs I have open!

The older icons were easier to tell the difference between the apps in tabs.

It's nice, since what bothered me the most is the far less easy to read date number in the Calender icon. What's missing: the option to choose, I for one really like and prefer the new drive icon.

Love the idea of this, but it unfortunately doesn't support the dynamic favicons on Calendar (the number in the icon shows the date) or Gmail (number in the lower right showing a count of unread emails). This makes it unusable for my needs. Oh well. Hopefully that can be fixed and I'll give it another shot then.

Works great at reverting to the old icons, which I find much easier to see as someone who is colorblind.
