It doesn't images from downloading completely, just hides them behind a theme :(

Replaces image pleasantly w/their pastel image or grayed one. Works great! doesn't block icons for better or worse. Automatic from page-to-page unless clicked otherwise. Has white/blacklist. Chosen image shows w/an Icon click.. Well-crafted extension! One note..in options, they claim the their image has transparency..I don't see that. Now, not that I need to save on data, but blocking vs hiding means less cache cleanup too. If you want an easy image blocker that blocks and doesn't replace the image, try the extension "Block Image". The icon isn't as cute as the palm trees though, and you may miss those pastels.

Amazing. Best Image Block. I like that it is selective, so I can view only one if I like. Also great that it works on youtube. On facebook, some minor problems exists, as: circular profile photos are not hidden, and also some photo are hidden with black not pattern and the eye icon button to view image does not appear on black, however its position is known int the upper right corner.

Amazing extension! works perfectly and is very helpful with concentrating on what's important.

Best extension / tool for hide haram images

tried few image block extensions, this one is the best [x] displays placeholder for blocked images [x] has site exception list [x] has "eye" icon to show blocked image Meets all my requirements.

This app is great for Muslims to protect their eyes from the things which is not suitable for a Muslim in the perspective of Islam to away from the things which is harmful for a human or a Muslim.

I would rate 5-stars if there will be hotkey or option to hide-unhide all the images on the web-site. Actually, that's the point of such extension - quickly hide-unhide ALL the images.

Very good extension. The only thing is that on most websites when you pause, it doesn't hide the images. An example website is Youtube Music and Facebook.

Would be better if images could also automatically reveal by hovering the mouse cursor. I know this plugin isn't intended for saving bandwidth, but maybe add disabling image loading as an optional feature. And this is probably asking for too much, but in the future, make it possible to generate pseudo-images with analyzed (machine-read) text (in place of original text) and/or image description.

AMAZING!!! Have been using it for years. It blocks all images. If your computer is a little slow tan the image can load before the extension and you may be exposed to the image for a second. SO KNOW YOUR CONNECTION! IF IT'S SLOW THAN THIS IS NOT GOOD FOR YOU!

Unusable because of critical bugs. Frequently the overlaid eye icon doesn't appear where it's supposed to and doesn't respond to clicks.

Dear Elliot, great app, keep integrity of the page and allow specific safe images to display, a much appreciated application, the best I have found in the last 2 decades! I would like to suggest a tweak, if there were an option to either blur images or make the overlay semi-transparent eg 5 or 10%, that will allow for much more versatility of the app.

I have loved my distraction reduced browsing experience for years now with this tool. Thank you.

As of a week or so it always seems to get corrupted after a short while, repair only works for a short while, as does removing and redownloading the extension, it always get's corrupted

Awesome extension This extension has made my internet life convenient. Imagine you are at work or public places and you need to visit a private or those x-rated sites and download or read stuff without raising eyebrows. Well using this plus a dark reader makes it very convenient

NOTE: It does not save bandwidth Read on; The Best Hide Image Extension for Chrome users. Automatically, enables for all websites and with two clicks you can whitelist the domain if you decide to view images for the entire site. The part that makes this extension better than the rest, images are not completely removed. Instead, "It hides the images by displaying a colored texture where they would be. Small images and many background patterns are recognized, and will always display." If you decided to hide everything, you click on Overlay image icon > Options, Under settings > Maximum Safe pixels [32]. Decreasing the [32] will hide smaller images and increasing will display larger images. This is great when browsing social media to see profile icon and block all other images. As mentioned above, Images aren't completely removed but it keeps them in the rightful position without changing the current state. TL;DR Just download the Extension Highly Recommended. Get it NOW, before you regret it.

This works well and is a wonderful feature. If you're wanting to read articles and skip all the distracting and sometime obnoxious images, try Wizmage image hider.

Must give credit - this is the ONLY extension which allows us to show/hide images PER TAB, all others either work per site or hide/show images globally for all tabs at once. This is how ImgLikeOpera plugin behaves and how I want it to be. Enable images in tab and browse anywhere, when you close the tab you're back to imageless browser But it doesn't actually prevent images from showing, it only 'covers' them up after the page (with images) is loaded. Supposedly 'hidden' images still flicker in existence for half a second or more. It's only a few moments and not 100% guaranteed to happen, but it makes the blocking unreliable. Would give 5 stars if'd that loading bug was fixed. As it stands, pretty useless to me since my boss still can notice NSFW images in my browser

jst stupid, it's not blocking any images but just hiding all images. "picture blocker" for firefox is best for this but not available in chrome.

I don't review. However, this app has made me. It very successfully pinpoints what I need to see and what I just don't need. A very good app. Get it and try it out!

Very helpful in preventing distractions. I wish it were possible to customise the substitute texture, because the provided one feels just a little too much like a tiled wallpaper from the 90's.

A good way for men to keep their eyes pure on the internet. The web is full of half-naked women, scandalous ads and worse. This extension has saved me so many times from seeing things! Couple this extension with AdBlockPro and most everything will go unseen. Great work.

2 points i would like to emphasize: #1. Extension does what it says in the description, and does it perfect! For people like me - i am very tired of getting false interpretation of news articles or similar information presented with visual image on the internet. This extension allows me to read only pure text and make judgements by myself. (Although visual representation does a very good job - applied badly does only the apposite). #2. For those looking for saving bandwidth - READ the description. It is clearly stated that it does NOT! So look somewhere else if there is a need for it. Thank you!

Tried a few image blockers, Wizmage Image Blocker gave me the best experience. It also has nice features.

Great image blocking extension with exactly the options I was looking for. All of the other blocking extensions are severely lacking compared to this one.

This doesn't prevent the page from actually loading the images; it simply doesn't display them. Not very usefull. Might save some ram, but it doesn't save bandwidth.

Works perfect! I really love reading scary stories, but I can't handle the pictures that come with them. This works perfectly on any site, including youtube thumbnails. Wonderful app, two thumbs up

Best of its type

Works by camouflaging images, but still downloads them. I would really appreciate an option to NOT DOWNLOAD the image files until requested. Trying to save expensive bandwidth :-(

Works very very well.

Not only does it get the job done, the colorful textures are calming and pleasing to look at. The unpleasant images are gone, and the webpage looks so much more cheerful as an added bonus.
