I am premium user and then this extension dare to track my personal input data. After installed and use it for a while I realised many banking and Government Official website were unusable and causing a lot of trouble to me and forcing me to switch to Microsoft Edge. After many troubleshoot, uninstall Chrome several time and then I realised that that extension is the culprit of the overall. The Government Official and some banking especially Citibank prevented this kind of tracking and store input extension for security reason "after login the website will prompt ... sorry not available at this time". I really thought that the website was down for many time but actually is Quillbot extension that lead to a lot of problem. Please this is privacy issue and data protection and stop tracking what we input for government official and secure banking website.

In the past, Quillbot in the web version of MS Apps used to function smoothly. However, in recent months, its performance has declined. For example, it can still identify grammatical errors and provide synonyms, but clicking on them does not apply the changes. Similarly, attempting to rephrase sentences using the provided option does not alter the text in the chat box. As a result, in order to change the message, I have to manually copy and paste each sentence into the chat.

It was working great until a few days ago. Even on the website grammar check it gives me a message that there is an issue with the grammar check. I hope they get the issue resolved soon.

The extension doesn't work and in fact I'd take it down until you fix it as it just makes your whole outfit look bad. It doesn't stay logged in between tabs or even on the same tab for very long and when I do login it doesn't recognize that I have a premium account.

I love being able to use this extension instead of going directly to the website. I'm pleased by the progress they're making. I believe that they are almost there in terms of functionality, but it's better to have it as it is than nothing at all.

Great tool. I see the # of errors in the bubble but is there a way to see what the errors are? it only say fix the errors and I have no idea what it changed. I opened the side panel but it doesn't seem related to the current pages edit fields to show the grammar/spelling errors. How do I get to the error list? is there one?

That's a great tool, But I need some change in dark mode. It's a bug when I copy the results to my web email through a browser like Chrome or Brave; the contents' background color is black and their text color is white. If possible, please fix it.

This is possibly one of the best apps to use and i mean that sincerely its easy to use you can write letters or posts safe in the knowledge that they will be grammatically correct . ( As its not allowed on here this is probably not correct )

Hi Thanks for the great tool. I have a problem with the regional spell checking in the extension. Although I have changed the region to British in the main website, but still the extension works on American spell checking. Can you tell me how to change it?

Most of the time it shows some error, You have to copy paste in their website to rewrite.

Please, how do I use it while working on Chrome

It keeps on asking me to upgrade and takes me to Ginger page even though I am on premium .Each tome I must log on chromes as it does not open under my favourites. Feeling frustrated.

First of all, the extension is amazing. I would rate it a 8.5-9.0 out of 10. I have no problem with it but I do hope that you consider extending the word limit for the paraphraser. And also to be able to use the formal option for it as well? I get that you need income to keep running the software but, I'm just a student and don't really earn money or use my parents to purchase anything online. If you ever consider my suggestion in the future, I would be greatly happy. Again, overall, this software is amazing!

I'm not sure what happened. I was writing fanfiction in Google Docs and noticed that Quillbot was not assisting me by suggesting changes to my phrasing or grammar. Please, developers, resolve this issue as soon as possible. so I can continue writing fanfiction.

Its Good

The Chrome Extension has a host of bugs. 1. It regularly cannot paraphrase the sentences and paragraphs of the Google document, so I need to constantly refresh the browser for the extension to detect the words for it to paraphrase. It's been an ongoing issue for months. After reporting this to the QB team, they still have not fixed it. 2. Currently on 02/13/2023 1:00PM PST, the Quillbot Chrome extension is completely unusable. It cannot detect any text on Google Docs despite refreshing the browser, and re-installing the extension. I do not like the Quillbot website interface, therefore it's not a solution for me. I am paying for this product to use with Google Docs. 3. QB support team took 3 weeks to respond to my email support tickets. This is inexcusable for any tech startup. For reasons listed above, it's very unlikely that I will renew my subscription when it expires.

The website is ok. The extension is really buggy. Keep in mind, it doesn't work on the latex editor overleaf.com anymore. It worked for a bit but stopped after Chrome update. Regret being trapped by a discount and paying for an annual premium.

It was working fine until it suddenly stopped working, or was given suggestions that when selected to be updated, it did not change at all. There is always something new with these, it needs to be reviewed to work smoothly and with fewer errors.

Quillbot is as good as free AI word processing gets. It's AI, so it doesn't replace using your noodle, but I've noticed it picks up on things and makes suggestions Grammarly doesn't do. On par, if not better than Grammarly. 10/10 recommend! :)

Update Nov 7, 2022: The contextual menu item returned. Thanks. And it seems to be working better with WordPress, as well, if not perfectly. I was happier before the last update, if not completely satisified, but now it's much less convenient to use this tool with WordPress — there's no Quillbot item in the contextual menu anymore! Why? The closer the integration with WordPress, the more likely I am to go Premium, the price of which I think is reasonable, especially compared to other tools. As it stands now, without that close integration, it's not worth any amount of money to me, especially factoring in the other glitches, such as the sidebar failing to open at all in the WordPress editor, the floating button only appearing in the first block on a page, or having to login multiple times before the extension recognizes that I am in fact logged in.

I would like to know why many of these apps feature an Ignore option... if that option does not actually work...? What is the point? Also, if I select a regional dialect that I write in, then please stop suggesting that it's wrong. I think I know my own language. Finally, why do these apps always argue with the author? The author knows their story. They know how they speak and how that speech should translate to the page from out of their head. Please stop trying to tell us how to write and just stick to telling us how to write well. I realise that is probably impossible, but it's worth putting it out there. Changes in speech patterns, preferences in one's own dialect, ways that people express themselves in their words versus their mannerisms. These are all subjective ways of writing, and they are all valid. Please, stop suggesting that they aren't because there is no one way to write. Yes, language is universal, but writing is individual. Embrace it.

This paraphraser is incredible! I don't speak English as a first language. It greatly aids in the development of my fundamentals and my English proficiency. I have faith that this program will eventually benefit the entire human species.

It is a fantastic extension, and I frequently used it at work. QuillBot extension will be very helpful to you if you are using Google Docs to complete your research paper. It suggests at least three different ways to construct the same sentence. Thank you to the developers.

I upgraded to the premium monthly option but after a couple of weeks it reverted back and requires an upgrade again to access the premium features.

This is honestly one of the best spelling whatever they are called thingys. The quality is excellent and the grammar suggestions are way better than other grammar extensions like grammarly. IT really helps me with my school work and i'm really grateful to have Quillbot.

I love this extension and use it daily. It appears the most recent update removed a convenient feature where one had the ability to right click anywhere in the text box and have an option to select QuillBot to open on the righthand side of the page. Now if you want to use this same functionality, you have to enable the extension icon and manually select open QuillBot sidebar. Please bring back the right click option for the sidebar. It may not seem like much, but the few extra steps taken now do make a damper on productivity.

In terms of ease of usage it is well developed. The main problem for me was the performance. It was killing my machine! When I installed it on my Ubuntu machine it starts to consume resources and machine fan starts working hard after a while. When I uninstalled the extension, my computer got back to normal. Hence, I prefer to use its website without the extension to keep my computer safe!

Quillbot is absolutely amazing and very helpful with school and different writing tasks. It's by far the best AI Rewriting tool. I purchased premium and I will again when school starts again.

I have not been able to use quilbot extenstion for some time and I sent you an email and you never responded.

It is one of the best, even though it is still in beta. Yeah, some websites are a little bit clunky, but who cares? You can do it yourself by opening the sidebar.

Some problems: If the input box is Chinese it will remove all the contents

It started off amazing and i use it in a premium account for many purposes. But within chrome gmail it is screwing with the page when i compose and correct from your suggestions. Can you please fix this?

I was really excited using this extension seeing the reviews. And while it has been good overall, it can suddenly be really buggy. It will show the corrections, I will click the suggested correction and it looks great until I actually send across the message and it shows uncorrected. This happens quite a bit, becomes embarrassing sending across those typos even though the software makes it look corrected beforehand. Also it makes the website interface a tad bit laggy, which is expected, but could be finetuned overall. It has potential if bugs like these can be fixed. I used it on discord.com

Quillbot is by far the best extension for paraphrasing and grammar checking, I've been using it for over a year and it's made my college life so much easier.

Its good but has really buggy correction features it sometimes adds the first letter of a word twice or deletes few letters I would recommend getting something better or waiting for these bugs to get removed but if you just want to use the paraphrasing feature then the extension is great.

When Quillbot works, it works well. For some reason, the app will periodically sign out, then display an error when I try to sign back in. I'm using the Brave browser. I would love to give 5 stars once this is solved.

This is one of the nicest extensions I've come across recently. After purchasing the premium version, I saw a huge improvement in my email writing. It assists me in being more productive at work.

Not only does this represent a danger to users as they are retrieving all text written on emails for example, live chats, forums etc. but also using all this private content to train their AIs. QuillBot is one of the best browser extensions I've ever installed. I'm using the paraphraser to bolster my emails to C-level executives. I've noticed a significant improvement in the flow and logic of my emails. When I explain complex strategies, there is less confusion.

I like the fact that it will allow you to rephrase up to 400 characters with the free version. That is 120 more than Wordtune will allow.
