Doesn't work in Edge. The little window is empty

WARNING. This extension is a scam and WILL steal your twitch credentials. This has definitely become a scam. It opens a popup login window with no way to verify what page I am in (this is a technique only utilized by scammers to try to trick you). In addition, the twitch redirect link is "iiljidcefnbhbpamageahhblhbbhhopm dot chromiumapp" which is a laughably bad scam attempt. It's a shame since I used to love this app. Hopefully someone creates a replacement app.

Thanks for continuing to update this extension. Lots of negative reviews on here complaining(and maybe not understanding) about the login requirement but afaik this is due to twitch changing its api. Like others posted ideally a click to authorize with twitch rather than loggin in would be ideal.

The log in is kinda sketchy. It use to work really well but now you try to open more than one Stream it makes the tabs crash. It need a dark Mode

This is an excellent, simple extension that seems to be broken due to the new Twitch API updates! Patiently waiting for an update :)

Used to love this extension, then they changed it to require you to log into your twitch account in a sketchy pop up window that does not make it clear whether or not you are on the actual twitch website. Safe to assume they are stealing your twitch login info, considering the extension worked just fine previously with only a username required. Now all the sudden they want my password too? No thanks. There's a reason the developer stopped responding to these reviews. If he changes the extension to the way it was, I will change my review. Until then, I'm reporting it to google and hopefully it will be taken down.

The way they make you log in is very suspicious. They're not logging you in in a browser, so you don't know if you're on the twitch domain. They could be stealing your login credentials and sell it later. Chrome should block this addon until they change this.

As much as I loved using "Twitch Now" (which no longer works as of a week or more ago), it did have at least 1 feature that I wish this extension had. Dark Mode capability.

Used this for years, definitely recommend it. Currently, the only issue is that after the API change, you have to log into twitch in the extension (before you just fed it your username). I'd love to see one of the logins where you click a button to authorize with twitch, rather than throwing your creds in some guy's popup window. I trust this extension personally, but if it's possible, that's really just better to have.

Does exactly what it says on the tin, minimalistic and functional. Did we lose notifications post-API change fix though? Any way we can get those back?

Works even after twitch changed their side, breaking a lot of apps like this. But it is *very* simple in design

I use it everyday. It's simple and it works like a charm. Recently it had some issues due to Twitch updating their API which made this extension unusable. But the developer quickly fixed it in a few days. Thank you so much Mike!

Glad the dev fixes issues when Twitch breaks it. 4/5 because I would like to see: - [Important] Dark mode option - [Nice to have] Option to set the link for clicking "Twitch live" at the top - [Nice to have] Favorites: Maybe have a clickable star next to each streamer in the list that filters them to a new "favorites" section at the top. Used this for years, and never had any issues with it. Does exactly what I want it to do and I love it. Unfortunately, like others have said, it has stopped working recently. Please update and fix! This is my favourite extension, and I don't want to have to switch to another. (I've tried others, and don't like them). EDIT: The wonderful developer has fixed the issue! I've changed this to 5* and hope to use it for years to come. Thank you for making such a great extension!

I enjoy it, but earlier this week, it stopped working. Streamers are live, but the extension shows nobody. Edit: It's working now, although in order to update it, I had to remove it and redownload it.

Thanks for still maintaining this extension, I've used it for a decade now and love the simplicity.

EDIT: Dev fixed the issues quickly, and it works again. There's nothing complex about this app at all, it does exactly what it says it does. 5/5. Broke the entire time twitch was updating their API, but I can't hold that against the developer. Updated today, and no matter what I do, l the extension still doesn't work and doesn't let me fully authenticate.I click authorize, I get a white page saying i'm about to leave twitch, I hit continue... and nothing. App still doesn't work. Don't Know if a broken update got pushed, but it is not functioning correctly. Will change my rating if it gets updated today again.

At the moment, it appears that the extension is broken. It looks like a change in the Twitch API. The settings page doesn't save settings anymore.

This is one of my favorite extensions, I'm not sure if it is still maintained but it seemed to stop working for me recently, not sure if it's a twitch or chrome update that broke it, but I hope this could bring a fix or something

up til a few days ago it worked ok but hasnt shown anyone live but if i go to twitch i had multiple people live. i wish it would work again and i wish it would make a sound when someone new goes live

Does not work on brave? I leads me to options where I can enter my name but nothing happens. Is this because of brave (usually extensions are compatible)

Not currently working in any capacity: list of streams not updating. Reinstalling doesn't allow you to save your Twitch username and other options.

Simple app to see who's online in a blink. Good to see it's being updated for the twitch changes! EDIT February 2022: Twitch is undergoing an API overhaul, seems like it keeps breaking this extension for now, hope to see it back up and working soon!

Broke today, stopped showing any of the people I follow who are live as live. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling to see if that would help and now it just won't save when I put in my username.

I like the extension. But I would like to see options to add YouTube live streamers in the future as well. Seems like a lot of BIG streamers on Twitch are about to leave Twitch and HAVE left Twitch for YouTube (TimTheTatMan, DrLupo, and definitely more to come). And it would be nice to have one single extension to check live status for channels, rather than having multiple extensions for it. I know the extension is named "Twitch Live". I guess I could make my own extension for this, since I know how to. But asking someone else to modify their extension is much easier and I'm quite lazy, so yeah. Thanks for the clean extension.

Just downloaded, but so far so perfect. Exactly what I was looking for! Edited for a suggestion: I don't know if it's possible, but one thing that would be nice is to see how long a stream has been going for.

It works well, but I was kind of hoping for it to open stream in a private tab thats not twitch itself since twitch is blocked on the school computer, maybe you can fix that somehow??

It would be nice if you could add option to make a sound when favorite streamer goes live (withtout the visual notification)

Amazing for what it does, it gives me notifacations when my favourite streamers go live. It's absoluetely amazing.

Super simple and easy, other extensions may have more features but this does exactly what it says on the tin and is hassle free

Been using this extension for a while and it definitely serves its purpose rather well. It looks like something recently broke the extension for me though, within the last day or two, as I'm now getting three copies of each person's stream showing up in the extension. Hopefully this is something that recently changed with Twitch and can be fixed easily.

I absolutely love this extension. Been using it for about 5+ years and never had an issue before. I'm not sure if I'm the only one with this issue but recently I have a bug which show most channels I follow but appears triple, I say most because this make my list appears bigger resulting in some channels I follow to not appears at all even though they are online. I tried to uninstall and reinstall the extension but the problem remain. I hope something can be done.

I love this extension & have used it for a long time best one I have found. But lately its been showing double streams https://gyazo.com/90465b0fe478a189926dd51a933127b7 I have to disable it for now til a fix is made.

Didn't work for a while so had it sitting in the extensions hoping for an update. As of now the extension got updated and works, so go for it.

it is great when it works. unfortunately it currently has an issue where it does not save options. so you can't tell it your twitch username, so it can't find out which channels you follow, making it completely non-functional. edit: works great now, thanks! live channel names with their viewer count are organised under categories where the game name is the header. if you hover over one, you see the title of that stream, and you can also click the game name to go to that game's twitch page. this feels very natural to how i use twitch, since i am usually in the mood to watch a certain game or a certain kind of game, so i like how everything is neatly separated into small, readable categories.

Had it for my computer before and it worked amazingly. I have a new computer and my extensions didn't move to the browser. I was setting it up and it won't connect to my twitch name. So it's essentially useless right now.

great extension, but I need help. I have been using this for years now. But it stopped working on my chrome on windows 10. Basically nothing happens when I put in my username -> in the options menu, and press save. It doesn't save anything. I tried uninstalling my add blocker and antivirus software but no luck. It seems to be something from the extension. I reset chrome flags, cleared dns, cleared cache, but still nothing. It works in chrome on Mac.

This extension is great and I love it! There has however been a bug where I can't save my username in options. I type in my name and I press save but nothing happened at all. It says that I have not chosen my username and therefore not showing the live accounts that I follow. I have deleted the extension and reinstall it with no success. I have also tried other things but with the same results. Hope you get it fixed asap. Thanks.

Used work perfectly. Simple, clean and to the point. However, after re-installing Windows today I can no longer save the settings. DevTools on the settings page shows 'onUserInfoError : {"error":"Unauthorized","status":401,"message":"OAuth token is missing"}' so I assume Twitch changed something in their API, causing the current version of Twitch Live not to be able to access the follower lists anymore. :(

Used to work so well then when I switched computers and went to add everything back, it wont save my settings now and the extension is basically useless

I've been using this extension for years. Recently got a new PC and for some reason it stopped working. Won't accept my user name in the settings so I can't see when someone is live. Such a shame because I use this extension on the daily.. Love it apart from this problem..

works well, looks neat, the only thing i wish was changed: instead of displaying stream title in popup, show it under channel's name. there's plenty of empty space anyway.

Twitch Now is a fancier alternative that *mostly* does the same things. However, I like this one because it lets you input the Twitch account you're using, instead of making you log in. I have multiple accounts I use, and the one I'm logged into isn't always the one I want to see the live channels from.

It does the trick, but is not particularly feature-rich.

As of today, it's stopped working. It bugged out earlier and showed 60+ streams online (only 6-7 were online) which was actually a glitch with several streamers appearing 5+ times in the categories. Tried reinstalling the extension and now it won't work at all, even with a refresh. Gonna have to remove this extension until this is fixed and will have to use a different extension for the time being EDIT: Dev has fixed the issue! Super fast response and it was because Twitch messed with their stuff again. Back to 5 stars. Thanks Mike :)

It's stopped working, I've reinstalled the extension a few times and put in my username and it won't show any streams live. I had to reinstall because before it started having issues it would show an old outdated list of streams. help? :/ I really like this app i just need it to work again

Successfully does what it's meant for. I really wish that the notifications didn't stack. If I leave my computer for a while I end up with minutes of scrolling notifications that I can't disable.

my font is huge because i have such bad eyesight, so some live channels are hidden below the screen and i can't get to them. please could you add a scroll bar to your extension? other than that it works just like i want, thanks!

Possible to disable VOD Cast? They shouldn't be shown since they're not live.

Simple and effective. Personally I don't care about browsing streams. I just want notifications because the iOS app notifications are garbage and never reliable. :( The "Twitch Now" extension uses a background process that launch at startup from what Google Chrome says. this extensions is much simpler and doesn't require that. Also this extension let you open stream in a popup window. Not quite as good as OS X "picture in picture" mode but a decent alternative.

Started working great at first. But now it won't list all of the streams that are live in my followed. I'm usually missing streams because there are no notifications when they go live and they're not on the list.

I love almost everything about it. The only thing I dislike is that if my computer is in sleep mode, when it's woken up, all the "gone live" notifications for the entire time it was sleeping proceed to pop up 3 at a time. Sometimes it can be very, very long.

Great way to get in and out of twitch favoritres, very lightweight notifications and super easy to access as well as easy to read. My only wish is to be able to add certain favorited games on the list as well as just streamers. Great job!
