Is this safe like does this have a virus

I really was excited to use this extension after seeing how much work it claims to do, but it didn't remove any ads from the sites--all it did was tell me that there were exactly 9 of them.

i love this so much ive been using it for half a year now and its honestly amazing. most stuff like this costs money but this was free to my surprise. i like how you respond to negative reviews and try to fix the issues. thanks for the awesome extension!

no more ads on youtube 10/10

worked exactly how i imagined it to. recommend for anyone on a mac that is annoyed with ad's on websites.

didnt really work for ad blocking on youtube which is why i got it the first place... it worked on other sites though

It's the BEST! It blocks ads!

A very good alternative to being safe from or at least identify bad (scam, phishing) websites when you don't have a local antivirus around. A feature of blocking Ads & Trackers was added; however, turning this on broke any website I visit (no CSS styling or loading empty). I think this feature is not very needed for this particular add-on; other Trend Micro add-ons can shoulder that feature instead.

I went to a known scam/phishing website and the extension reported it as "safe" and "awesome"

I highly recommend this extension because it actually does its job. if you have an old device dont install it because someone said it made their cpu hot and fan at "max speed"

Lately pages won't load completely

I've been using it for a while and found it's quite good, but its currently blocking me from reading ebooks on https://play.google.com/books. I've had to disable it - But I'll turn it back on and update the review if it gets fixed :)

I very much like this extension and am confused by some of the reviews. If you don't like the app, uninstall it. You CAN do that. The publisher cannot remove extensions for you. What I would very much like is a place to store trusted sites. While I have not had many false identifications, recently this app prevents google photos from displaying. Not sure what recently changed as it only started happening a few days ago. I disabled all extensions and narrowed it down to this app. Developer, thank you for a great tool, but it would be great to get the Google photos issue fixed and add a trusted site option. There is a placeholder for this feature but is not active. Thanks though for a great tool. It does far more good than it doesn't.

I'll give them two stars for the concept, but it crashed my old machine in under one minute/ I have an old 2nd or 3rd generation i7 processor machine. I had a bunch of chrome windows open, mostly ebay, amazon, a local classified ads site(ksl.com) and a site I suspected was a scam site, ampusp.com. This app properly flagged the site as a probably scam site. I also left the site and came back to it to see how this new extension would respond. It placed a warning in the right lower corner of the window. All that is great, however, as this was happening, my CPU was getting hotter, and the fan went to its maximum speed. After about ten seconds of that, the machine went cold. I wish there were something like this but that could throttle resource use, at least on older machines. I will remove it after posting this review. Perhaps I'll try it on another machine. My aim was to put it on my mother's machine so she would get warned when she sees a great deal on a scam site, to protect her. She also has older equipment. I wish scammers didn't exist, but they do. I wash all of you success who are not scammers.

It seems to do its job picking up on phishing sites.

Seems to do the job well. Only had it a day or so. It just need it to popup LESS while sorting through info on any sites that it has identified as SPAM/SCAM. I will give another review once I have used it for a few more months. Might also be good if you have a spot where we can drop in the ID of the sites we find are pushing for large sales but contacting them is impossible. eg. https://saleyas.com/ or on the site it says "COSTCO WHOLESALE". I tried the contact address (does not exist) (Tried the "Saleyas .com" and that is not recognized by my email or Google) Great products at great prices with free delivery worldwide for purchases over $69.99. As they say, "If it is too good to be true then it probably is." DO NOT, IF POSSIBLE, DISPLAY MY PICTURE OR OTHER PERSONEL INFO OR KEEP THIS ON YOUR OFFICIAL FILES AND NOT ON THIS DISPLAYED PAGE FOR PERSONAL SAFETY REASONS I AM SURE YOU CAN UNDERSTAND.

Too much garbage when I right click to see the results of the web page. I'm removing this extension. UBlock Origin is the best. Don't need this.

So I downloaded this site to help prevent myself from getting in to any unwanted situations or scams, although I had Norton, this company allowed for myself to feel an extra layer of cyber protection and repelling scam sites on Facebook and google. Overall, a solid experience and absolution love it.

Great little TAB detective, on the whole. The largest problem I have is the false positives and a classic example is keyword tool that I have used for over a year is positively identified as a phishing site. Now we are dealing with a Domain with a DA90...I mean come on. Please get the logic sorted out behind your "False Positives", and I hope it's not market orientated where you're collecting a fee from competitors to make certain websites 'look dangerous'. Now, don't moan. the internet, that Bemouth we have created, is anything but impartial, and loves GREEN.

I'm confused. On scamadviser.com it states that the website I'm reviewing is trusted by Trend Micro, but when I go to the website it tags it as a scam website. https://www.scamadviser.com/check-website/widestarelec.com

Could not be without it, has saved me from going to and making purchases from scam web sites.

This extension might be Good for some, but no good if it INFORMS YOU AFTER You've already been scammed! I've been scammed on www.Lookgoodskin.com. Could have been prevented had this extension responded properly! Thanks for nothing.

it's good, and it works okay but my only issue is that it leaves the dog logo on pages even if you don't have the extension anymore or if you have the settings a certain way where it shouldn't be doing that because it doesn't have access to read the text. i've been trying to figure it out on my own but now i'm just annoyed since i've cleaned catches, history, and other settings and it's still there.

Does notify you of legitimate sites (like when I was applying for my Volunteer Child Abuse Clearance from the states site). Notice popped up every time I went to the next screen. What a pain.. I wish there was a way that, if you added the site to your list of trusted sites, it wouldn't pop up anymore. It is so much of a bother that I am disabling it.

The complaint I have is that it notifies you of legitimate websites as well as scam sites and THAT confuses people. You end up calling customer service reps to verify the authenticity of the website. I suppose this is a good side to Trend, but boy is it time consuming! Otherwise, I love Trend Micro anti virus security.

I am constantly getting false alarms! If this continues I am going to remove the extension.

It was great until it started warning about about photos I'm looking at on Facebook. I hope you can fix that issue soon.

I really liked this app and found it usefull until it started alerting on pictures on facebook. Fix this issue and I will revise my review and rating accordingly.

It was okay until today, it showed that Facebook is a scam website. Now WFT, something is wrong with it.

My only complaint is that the app just "detects" the same data breach over and over, which is merely a smokescreen to make you download an app via a QR code and then subscribe to a plan. If you could stop with this false alarm, I would give this five stars. I checked my Google email and password on that account, and neither validated the claim TrendMicro Check made.
