great ' for me

Edited review This extension recently updated and has changed everything I loved about it. I really don't like this new format. I'm going to have to start looking for a replacement if it stays like this. Edited review 02 After ikkah rolled back this to it's previous version and it now works like it did before. I have used this plugin for years and bean very happy about it but now it is ugly and useless. I am starting to look for something else to replace it.<{Obsolete}

Just updated to 2.0. It's only showing HUGE icons and no text w/icons. I guess it's time to find a replacement for this to be released without any testing.

The plugin just updated, and now looks very, very bad. Favicons for links are stretched out and blurry (and stretched more horizontally than vertically), it gave me an alert that it wants read/write access to more things than previous versions, text in the bookmark bar is now too large leading to several elements being scrolled off of the screen, and a link/advert to some social network the creators are shilling has been added to the bottom. It's gone from a must-have to a total eyesore.

Poof - and one day it changed my view, deleted the Google icon - and now I can't uninstall it. Lovely.

Google apps no longer work on the start page. It'll be a great extension again once this gets fixed. It's still an attractive way to open up a new tab and have all my options organized. One of my favorite Chrome extensions.

I have used this for some months now and I like it a lot. The only problem I have is that the extensions for Google docs, sheets and slides do not work on this desktop, nor the Google files and a few other extensions too. All I get is an about:blank screen

My bookmarks are a lot of nested folders and subfolders. As far as I can see, this extension will only open the top level folder and show the names of the subfolders. You'd like to be able to click on the subfolders and get them to open, showing the actual bookmarks they contain. No luck, and this is a fatal defect for me.

it has ruined my pc

It flattened out my bookmark folder structure, putting 100+ bookmark on the page, effectively rendering it useless. I think a not so heavy user may like it with few bookmarks.

It is not a "start" page at all but yet another "new tab" extension. However I must say It's a lovely extension and I do Like it. I would like to see a few more options myself like icon size (i'm getting old and my eyesight isn't what it used to be)and possibly add an image from your PC along with the possibility to hide the third bar completely as its pretty redundant if I have "all" my bookmarks on there as is it just tends to repeat itself

This is a great start. I'm currently trying to find a start page that can double as a "smart hub" UI for my HDTV. In future updates, you should include a way to enlarge the icons for each app. Also, is there any way to TAKE OFF the bookmarks pane?? I can't stand looking at it but I can't seem to find a way to take it off. Widgets would be nice as well. Also allowing the user to be able to choose which Apps appear on the app pane. However, as far as ease of setup and use, this is an amazing program

I like this app, but I don't use the bookmarks so I have a gigantic blank space at top that I can't even shove to the borrom :( I wish we can customize the layout a little more. Really love the ability to add RSS feed though, thanks for the instructions!

It good app. But its buggy :( When I try to move some bookmark, it gives error and that error box does not go untill I forcefully quit the chrome or it gets hanged ultimately. Would developers please fix this bug. And I did not get how are these bookmarks organized? It should follow some order and show the folder icon if bookmarks are organized as a folder. How would one access bookmarks by folder in current case? Hope developers are listening

it is great bokkmark tools, makes it easier to scroll through your bookmark im giving this as 4 stars only because you must have your website on the bookmark bar to have an icon, you can also have the usual dropdown booknark folder on the advance setting, another downside is the inabilty to right click to open the bookmark on multiple tab or on new window, this will be agreat addition in the future!

It's a nice concept, but I only wanted a few more links on my homepage rather than the entire bookmarks tree, and I couldn't find a way to have that. Maybe it should try to be more incremental from the original Chrome start page, at least on first launch.

I'm sorry, but this extension doesn't do anything. It is loaded and running but there is no information on how to use it. I think mine is broken because after installation it is just another line item in my extensions list. The browser never changed one iota.

I've gotten into the habit of saving the Chrome option pages and other browser control pages (Downloads, Bookmark manager, History etc.) in the Bookmarks Toolbar. With Start, I now have an extra level of functionality that comes in very handy. Nice job on the Chrome extension!

i like the old home page better and i cant get it back up.. someone HELP ME!!!!!
