With its user-friendly interface and robust set of features, Free HTML Editor for Gmail by cloudHQ is a solid extension that simplifies the process of creating and sending professional-looking HTML emails directly from Gmail, enhancing communication and productivity for users. 5 stars.
Good extension that allows me to easily create and format professional-looking emails with customizable HTML templates directly in Gmail, enhancing the visual impact and effectiveness of my messages. 5/5 for me.
Quite a useful tool for creating HTML-formatted emails within Gmail, but it could benefit from adding more advanced features such as the ability to insert images or tables. Overall I recommend this extension.
This is a valuable addition to Gmail for those who want to create more visually appealing emails. With some small improvements, such as more design templates and the ability to save custom templates, it could become an even more powerful tool for email customization.
This is great! It allowed me to create and edit HTML emails directly in Gmail. With this extension, I can add images, videos, and formatting to my emails using a simple drag-and-drop interface. Additionally, the extension includes a preview feature, allowing me to see how their email will appear before sending it.
Me ha funcionado a la perfeccion, tenia una plantilla html que no se mostraba correctamente en gmail, pero en mi navegador si, esta extension corrigio los problemas de mejor manera que otros servicios de paga.
This is surprisingly good. Actually excellent. Love the instant refresh. Alot of control over the layout. Wish it had templates. But great as is.
This is an impressive and thorough extension. I was taken aback by its professional appearance and its functionality.
Waste of time, adware
There is no pop-out support for this extension. When you press the expand button in the top right with shift, it pops out the email editor and this disables the extension, even if its already being used. Fixing this would be very helpful allowing me to actually maximize the work environment. Hope you can get this added!
At first this looks really good. And then you send it and none of your CSS survives. So it is not WYSIWYG. Also clunky to transitioning between the code and visual drag and drop. data gets lost whenever you transition
Very good and useful tool.
this really helped me! the F12 solution was super messy. thank you!
Can you add javascript?
Works well for me, thanks.
It's a great little program - and free is a great price! I've not needed support and it is great for jazzing up my emails! I love the fact you can use the wysiwyg editor or directly tweak the html. Excellent product.
Worked for my first email. Now ive come back to do another one, exactly the same template with different text and image and every time i either send or close my draft email all HTML is stripped.
Total waste of time. Do not bother with it. It creates the message but then those receiving the message receive nothing.
It works! Very good! Thank You!
As tony the tiger would say "its GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRReat!"
Works great and easy to use. As long as you know a little HTML or how to Google code snippets... cake!
Split screen is great!! Reminds me of wordpress in a way.
Junk. Only wanted an in browser html editor, but they force subscription to their cloud service and run in the background on your pc. The question is, why?
Gmail makes it really difficult to code in HTML, grateful that this makes it soooo much easier.
Full HTML editing means no limits! gotta love it.
I can make some really pretty email templates from being able to edit HTML in all my emails.
Hi CloudHQ, So far so good. The only thing that bothers me is that every time I log into another email address the Free HTML Editor YouTube video pops up and starts playing. Is there any way around this?
Full control over the email's HTML is fantastic for anyone vaguely familiar or fluent in HTML itself. I've got a good handle on it, so I can add all type of fun things to my emails like tables and charts to make my emails look great.
The real time 2 window preview really makes this great. I'm not a great coder so knowing exactly when and where I messed up helps me a lot!
Edit button for HTML does not appear, unusable.
amazing this is very useful!!
failed at the first test.. the email is not received as previewed..
When it works, it works well enough (the two windows are not synced, for example) but the killer is that there is no undo, and it disables the Gmail undo, so if you screw it up, there is no way to retrieve your original message. If you delete your entire message, it is lost forever. SO COPY YOUR MESSAGE TO A FILE BEFORE RISKING USING THIS TOOL!!!
Love this tool, works great for testing new email templates. Well done guys. I use this tool for testing the look of html emails before I copy them into my AutoResponder and your tool gives me a great fast way to test. Thanks David
"Free"... but doesn't do anything without creating an account... which immediately wants to "read and manage" my emails. This is not "free".
needs an account and wants to be able to read all your mails
i like this app
Doesn't seem to like youtube embed code. Editor always pops up in full screen. crashes when certain images are inserted.
I can't believe such a great app is free! It's been a life saver.
Seems like it works very well at first. Annoying you need an account, but its free so whatever. Sent an email and it straight up just doesn't work.
Right off the bat it requires account creation. If that's a must due to feature implementations or support, then at the very least the service should provide an auto expiring demo account which new users could try for something like 15 days or so. Also, I get that services have to be paid for, but this is far overvalued at $20/mo when a professional might just use it very sporadically. A $10/mo gets me Photoshop, Lightroom and online storage with Adobe for actual programs and services that are used several times a month and in certain cases several times a day. This service might be be worth the current price for heavy users constantly on it, but won't work for the occasional users. Perhaps $20~$30/year could be fine for someone who would not be using it daily, unfortunately there's no such professional pricing option for the more "feather weight users" amongst us. Too bad.
very helpful!
Account creation is required, and as of now their platform is in maintenance, so I can't use the extension.
Asks you to create an account to use it - doesn't work without it. Harvests your email address and sends you emails trying to sell you services and extra extensions.
Helpfull
It works much better than previous HTML editor extensions I have tried, and the interface is fantastic. I love the preview in the editor - it's incredibly useful. The one thing I wish it did was remove (or at least highlight) things that Gmail strips out (such as <style> tags, etc) so that I know what will or won't actually work.
excelent job
Only used it once so far, but it worked and it was easy to use. Normally the Gmail wysiwyg editor is enough, but sometimes it may not get the layout exactly as you want.
terrible
I use it in conjunction of Gmail Templates - very useful tool to edit emails in HTML (add tables, add <hr> tags, etc.)
Great HTML editor takes some time to open sometimes but works really well.
This shoudnlt be just an extension, but a standar! Its a great help! Thanks!
Very handy tool!!
