Some sites that you were redirected to aren't registered in this extension, so if you find yourself redirected to something you've never seen before, you can put the url that you were redirected to in the Skip-urls-list list so that you don't get redirected back to that site again.
Just installed this because every news article I open has links in it using annoying redirects. This worked for the links I was trying to open. My ad-blocker stops redirects so I could not open the links. The redirects I was trying to open was "https://www.ojrq.net/p/?return=".
I don't know how this extension got on my device, maybe someone else who was using my computer installed it. It has caused me no shortage of grief, causing numerous websites to malfunction. Most notably, it tends to be disastrous when it comes to the internet archive, where it will "skip the redirect" of the internet archive and forward you to the current domain of the archive website which is a 404 at best and malware-ridden at worst.
This doesn't work very often, like with google image search for example. Constant redirects to a warning.
Works well when it works, but on multiple popular sites with a search field that uses a normal HTTP redirect to access search results, this extension causes the redirect to go directly to the URL you searched for rather than to the results page. For example this is easily reproducible by entering a URL into the wayback machine and pressing enter http://web.archive.org.

Works as expected. It blocks annoying redirect warning pages that sometimes appear when opening even the most beingn web sites (eg. wikipeida.org). Recommended.

This is a must have extension for Pi-hole users. It solves blocking on hundreds of redirections made by shopping websites. Brilliant. Best feature of it is actually what `Anthony Lago` is complaining about - it blocks sponsored google shopping links on main search site, which very often are just scam links.

A nice replacement for the old "Fix Url Links Redirect" extension that works rather well. The blacklist feature supporting regular expressions is most welcome. Glad to see it's still being updated occassionally. :)

Mostly I found this to be a "redirect nuker" not a skipper. The main reason I wanted it was for Google search links near top of results to stop piping through Google AdServices and just go directly to the end site (since I have AdServices blocked anyway). I have an extension (Reidrect Blocker, which despite its name IS actually a redir skipper) which does this perfectly, but doesn't work with some other redirects. I was hoping this one would handle those and also handle Google, probably the no. 1 most common redirect most of us run into. Instead, it just kills the redirect entirely; you click on it and you get neither the direct target page nor the AdServices-mediated path to the target page; you just get redirected (ironic!) back to a blank Google search page. So, FAIL. Maybe this work fine on some other site, I dunno. PS: I tried using it simultaneously with Redirect Blocker, and it still did the same thing, so I just can't use this.

Saves a lot of time with shortlinks or URL shorteners (with ads) Its not 100% obviously but used in conjunction with Universal Bypass, it allows you to skip a lot of spammy URL shorteners with ads. There's a few URLs with unintended consequences where you can enter the main domain in the skip list and that takes care of it. Overall, this extension has saved me hours of waiting and clicking.

This is a great feature for Chrome.. Stops annoying pages opening automatically leading to malware sites.works seamlessly. in fact this type of feature should be an inbuilt option in all browsers.
Great extension. Unfortunately, it seems the whitelist feature isn't working in the Brave browser.

The 5 star reviews are completely unwarranted. As others have stated the extension truly sucks in current form! If the link ends with referrer=h..ps://x then skip redirect loads the referrer h..ps://x instead of the site that it's supposed to go to, now that's just bad. There are other issues to that I won't bother getting into. In addition, the Support site is 404, nice. doesn't work and, no support! if anyone knows of a alternative to this broken addon, please post it in your review or as a reply.
can't understand this option : "Skip all redirects except for URLs matching any of the lines in the blacklist" !! , i think black list is the one should be skipped !!

Great extension IF it didn't constantly stop pages clicked on from Google Search results from loading. I have to turn off extension whenever searching on Google or using Google Drive. I have Google as an exception so 'Skip Redirect' stops blocking Google search links but it has done NOTHING. Major hiccup if you ask me considering Google is the #1 search engine. *Update* Now ALL links on Facebook are being blocked. I will literally put a website's URL into the whitelist and it STILL blocks me from clicking on link. *UPDATE 2* The creator of this extension has released this statement "If you have a problem a specific website: adding the domain to your blacklist does not solve the problem. The issue is not about adding entries to the default blacklist" and that's it. No further explanation. Great support. SEBASTIAN, HOW DO WE STOP YOUR EXTENSION FROM NEEDLESSLY BLOCKING EVERY SINGLE LINK?! WHY CAN'T WE CLICK ON BUTTON TO STOP YOUR EXTENSION FROM BLOCKING MANUALLY??? This app sucks. Uninstalling

It worked at one point, but it hasn't worked on basic link redirects in months. It only seems to work on google searches nowadays. Very useless extension when that's all it'll work on.
Works!! Thank you!! Paired with uBlock Origin Extra lets you browse like in old days. I get people need to make money but this redirect\pop up story made sites simply unusable.
Amazing , it does it job but .... but the problem is some websites uses redirect to do a function like google drive to download file so this tool stop it from redirect to the download server please add simple interface to whitelist those sites

Fantastic extension! It is annoying to click on a link only to get taken to a page completely irrelevant from the link clicked on. This extension eliminates that pesky behavior like a charm.
