Well the extension stopped working, but I uninstalled and re-installed it and now it's working fine again. Disregard the previous review.
I wish the list of blocked elements were accessible through Options or somewhere. Sometimes I remove an element on accident and after having such in incredibly long list it is difficult to find. A whitelist would greatly improve this. I will probably be using this every day for the rest of my life. How do I send you a small donation?
It does what it says, but just one thing: I don't understand why it needs to read your browsing history, does that has anything to do with the function?
nice app removes what I don't want
Awesome - thanks! How we send you a tip?
MAKE IT ABLE TO TURN OFF THE KEYBOARD SHORTCUT FOR ENABLING THE EXTENSION!!!!
Excellent extension! Helps hide the Reddit username in desktop too :) Thank you!
Love it. Does what it says. :)
does what it says
Add ability to make an elements ( display: none; ) instead of removing it. I need this feautre bcz some sites has the same class or id name in different pages for different purposes.
I appreciate this extension as much as an adblocker. I needed this for my sanity. Thank you.
the extension works well but it lags when I scroll through the page when using it, otherwise it works really well.
god YouTube, google, amazon... all these out of touch corporations, they'll throw all this annoying eye cancer on their sites like ads, popups or dumb features they thought was needed it can all be gone. example: YouTube ruined their site when they added that "hover to play" thing on thumbnails. sure, i could see how it could be useful but then they added this animation to it and it was super distracting while browsing videos, so i removed it :)
You should be really proud of yourself for coding this amazing package. Seriously hats off to the developer(s).
Lovely
helps a lot, great extension!!!
It's like turning The Internet into Bubblewrap, going around popping the ad elements but the only problem is, once you pop them, they're difficult to get back. One improvement I would like to see is a method to visually see what you've hidden on a page - like just now I accidentally blocked the main web element for Speedtest =|. Perhaps something as small as a momentary overlay, displayed over the element you've just blocked for a few seconds. This holds up the action of actually blocking the element, waiting till the visual aid overlay has vanished from over top of the element you've just removed. Thinking big here; another improvement would be to offer a paid tier to a aggregated blocked database by trusted users of the platform
Does what it says.
I was thinking of developing the same thing and then found yours with a simple search. Good job.
This is amazing! I don't care about ads, I know how important they are, but once I suddenly started getting very unpleasant ads, and adblocker would trigger a lower functionality on this specific website. Thankfully I found this wonderful extension that hides the ad while also increasing the workspace available, without actually blocking the ads, win-win. Thank you very much!
Doesn't work at all. Elements all return on page reload...
Missing an option to export and import JSON data
Worked perfectly as advertised! Removed Youtube comments easily
Thanks, I've been using this for a while and it's quite useful especially the "remember" function
Does what it says and is very useful, but needs a settings page to manage the remembered removal patterns. Be careful when using this feature. I added a pattern that I didn't realize was used by every element on the site I used it for, so everytime I loaded any page on that site, EVERY element would get removed, and there was no way to edit that pattern (the extention's popup wouldn't even appear anymore after everything was removed). I had to uninstall and reinstall the extension.
super useful, I use it everyday
Thank you ,it work
simple, functional, good
AWESOME ELEMENT REMOVER
A great extension to clean up the web pages from annoying elements that I use daily. Great!!!
Excellent! Your a Genius!! -- I find that can't remove objects that are under the "extension" like on the bottom right of the screen. otherwise it's absolutely masterpiece in todays browsers! :)
Do exactly what it should. I use it to remove annoying elements in a WebGui.
the best element blocker
It worked great! It's the closest thing to what I'm looking for. (I'm looking for an extension that removes or edits things permanently, this extension only is missing the editing bit. But it never said that it had that feature, so 5 stars.)
Awesome, thanks! This is exactly what I was looking for. A tool that remembers whatever element I remove so it doesn't appear again. I've made a tutorial video about it and have linked to this extension in the description. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m08N_xXJuqY) Thanks again!
It's perfect. The recent feature to remember elements that you've chosen to remove is what made me finally leave a review. Great tool.
One of the plugins that always get installed on dev account. Useful to remove extra elements before saving the page as PDF
For some reason none of my ad blockers have the "remove element" option anymore. That led me to this, which handles the task much more intelligently. There's non tweaking or finding the right range of intensity to remove something, you just click it and POOF it's gone.
works well for me
thankyou, so much usefull block to pop up annoying
It works really well and works as intended, just simply click on an element or multiple elements to block. REALLY SIMPLE TO USE!!
Love it!
I like click to remove Element, but recently I've experienced unfortunate interaction with Google Docs lately. Through trial and error, I determined that it is intercepting menu/keyboard events or causing some other interaction with gdocs, which is a shame. So I have to disable most of the time. It would be great if I could exclude docs.google.com, or enable more intrusive
Perfect for custom element removal.
Works perfectly and the option to remember and auto-hide on next load the selected elements (divs, ...) is just perfect. Thanks for this extension!
I always wanted this feature. I used it for 5' and it was like a breeze. The temporary/permanent toggle, the "enlarge"/"shrink" selection, the highlighting, the clicking like a madman and seeing the web page "un-geociticize itself". It's lovely. It's better than popping bubble wrap.
it is the best ! please tell me how to backup my settings. I can't find it anywhere.. I want to reinstall windows 7 and it would be a big time waste to remake all the steps for every website..
Exactly what I was looking for. Works perfectly. Thanks.
Fantastic! Super easy user interface. Does exactly what is expected. The only critiques I have is that there are no settings to apply the removals for an entire domain. I currently use an ad blocker to block ads, "NoScript" to disable website overlays that pop up when you have blocked ads, "custom javascript for websites 2" to inject the JS code: document.body.style.overflow = "visible"; document.body.style.scrolling = "yes"; to stop them from disabling scrolling. It would be great it this included some of those features.
it's wonderful. great for things i don't want to see, therefore great for my anxiety. thank you. i appreciate the creator of this extension. edit: dont know if it's possible to add a quick on/off button to switch off the saved changes, but that would be much appreciated!
Thank you my man...
Great extension, and I really love the ability to remember site-specific actions. It would be great to see a couple of enhancements that provide an option to hide, or make transparent, rather than remove elements, so that scrolling behaviors tied to that element remain functional.
I like it. But it is hard to see the icon on a dark theme.
Thank you for this helpful extension.
I was getting so sick of all the clutter on some of these websites I usually use, but now I can just clean it up within seconds. This extension is brilliant.
its perfect
YAS Finally!!! an element remover that actually works every time and without having to rehide everytime i visit the site. Worthy of a Ternion award
This extension is a must. Really useful.
It's super userful! Thanks a lot.
It refuses to erase elements permanently in Opera, even when I check "remember". Please either fix it or make it available in the Opera extension site.
Thanks, it help to more focus on things.
Terrific extension. Saves removed elements, works excellent on any website. Thank you for the work and effort you put into this.
Love it. I used this on many webpages to get rid of clutter. My favorite: I used it to delete every element recommending a video on youtube. Now when I go to Youtube the only videos that I see are the ones that I search for. No more getting sucked into 5hr youtube binges when I'm trying to get work done!
My favorite extension, thanks to developer for creating this it really helps me to stay focus and avoid annoying elements on websites that i was forces to use or keep seeing. and the best part about it,.. when you remove an element it stays removed forever even when you reload the page.
Excellent interface, better than uBlock's "Block element..." option. Really fast to use.
A life saver. This extension has significantly improved my quality of life. I'm now able to easily remove a lot of the distracting clutter crammed into most websites. Thank you so much for making this.
Awesome! I was just about to start writing this tool and you've already done it! Easy to use, wish the Hotkey were customizable. A must have in your toolbox to stop annoying elements on web pages.
Great for blocking paywalls/ads on news sites.
Love this app. Even though most ad block extensions contain an option to manually remove elements, it is often slow and heavy on resources just to select the item - this one click fix is quick, convenient and on the top of my list of must have extensions.
I love it. Great that I can chose to 'remember option'. Highly recommend.
This extension is very simple and well designed. Works perfectly. Makes browsing any cluttered page better. I don't need Reader Mode anymore.
Great! its awesome how it also saves everything you remove!
Excellent! Does exactly what I need.
Great
Works perfect, even better when you tick the remember box. Refresh page and it automatically removes the elements you selected before.
It doesnt remove, but mark as display: none
Does not remember removed elements for a certain site. These were divs with a class that didn't change, within a div with an ID that didn't change. No options page and thus no way to track or edit descriptors for blocked elements. Doubtful wither the "remember removed elements" feature works at all. Also, would be really good to have an option in the right-click context menu to remove an element. Seems hinky to click the icon then left-click elements. [DEVELOPER: Please do not reply!!! Thank you.]
ilove this extension is very speed for remove element
Fantastic extension! I use it often to print portions of web pages by simply clicking on the unwanted areas. Hover over the general area first to see a red rectangle outlining the content that will be removed, then just click. Great for printing recipes without all the garbage ads and clutter on the page.
Great! Thank you very much.
Really need a "Select All" button to select ALL checkboxes for remembering removed elements? it is really cumbersome to check "remember" for each element that i removed. If that feature was to be added, I will update to 5 stars and even "donate" if theres an option.
Perfect! It was never easier to get rid of all the liberal news
Can you make it automatically add tick when pressing a hotkey cos I kind of miss marking few elements....
best to counter sites that detect adblocker
Too good!! I'm loving it! one feedback/feature request: Few times want a page to ignore removal/blocking of elements. So any keyboard combo by which we can overwrite the removals(we should be able to set combo as it might conflict with other extension like IDM)
Works great, let's you remember selected elements.
Very usefull extension, Recommended !!!
would be amazing if it saved the hidden elements, this killed elements & annoying adds no other blocker managed to remove. very intuitive & easy to use! BUT WHY DOES IT NOT SAVE?
Please also develop one for removing elements from apps on the phone (Android). Thanks!
Great Extension. Can make an extension like click to copy. To easily copy paragraphs
Wonderful and very useful, and not detected by websites which complain or deny access if you use an ad-blocker. Makes it pretty easy to remove distracting "related articles" or "related videos" sidebars, persistent un-mutable and un-pause-able video modals, annoying interstitials (which break the flow of an article, thus sapping mental energy spent on maintaining concentration), etc. This extension has already saved me dozens of hours of potentially-wasted time mindlessly clicking on related links, and really helps make the web seem like a much friendlier place. That said, it desperately needs the ability to customise the generated CSS strings used to target the elements, because some websites use randomised IDs to generate an element on page load, which means that blocking it and saving it will not have any effect on the next visit to that website. Additionally, the point-and-click method is great, but it is usually more efficient to block a parent element, rather than blocking each of its children.
I use this to remove annoying ads form webpages. Some ads are resistant and open anyway when I click to remove them. It would be useful to have a key to remove highlighted elements, as well as a click, so the ads don't open when I try to remove them.
this extension is a type of development which society still trying to held the perception of something that works under the community title of Open Source; resulting in the category sorted for [ StandAlone - Offline - Software - Download ] then just click to remove everything else;
Rated because it actually removes something that I couldn't do with other addon.
Super useful extension!
very simple, but yet useful and fast. neat finding in the store ;)
Just one thing i would wish is a 'remove by regex' or 'remember with wildcard' option to have the nuked elements stay nuked even when they have uuids and stuff. would love to add this option if extension was open source
Instant 5-Star I've always wanted to save the changes
Extremely useful, especially the "remember" function so that the removed elements *stay* down.
Great and simple extension for removing intrusive or troublesome parts of web pages. Can be used to remove ads or parts of websites in order to make them look more clean and visually appealing. Has option to remove elements only once, or to remember which elements to delete so that they will be removed every time you access the page. Works wonderfully well and is an excellent piece of software. Thank you for creating this exceptional tool!
I really miss CTRL+Z (undo) function. Sometimes you remove something that you didn't need to remove, and you have to scroll down to the last element to delete it. If undo function would be present, I would give 6 stars if it were possible ^_^
It's Space Invaders, but for website elements. Byebye popup menu!
It is amazing!
Am I missing something? extension works great but when I refresh - the box is back up? How do I make it remember the website? I don't see the option
