To see the side bookmark bar you have to click on it every time and then once a bookmark is clicked the sidebar disappears again. To reinstate it you have to click back on it and then it opens a new tab. I just wanted a simple fixed sidebar for bookmarks.

Its easy to set up and use. Even easier than the built option for every browser. Thank you so much!!

Just excellent

So I've been using this extension for 3 years now and recently wiped my computer and could not find the email with my premium activation, I reached out to the developer and within a couple of hours they got back to me with my key, their communication and customer service is really great and I would recommend this extension to anyone, I think the premium activation is totally worth supporting this developer. This is by far the extension that I use the most on a daily basis.

It's non functional on chrome's setting pages. It's also non functional when the tab is opening a pdf document. For users who wish to jump from one bookmark to other quickly, I think enabling the extension on such pages is worth considering.

I love it so much but I Have a problem with the separator feature didn't work for me when click "add" then "ok" nothing happen and no separator was added !!

This is the first time I've felt compelled to review an extension. I use this extension all the time and it saves so much time and effort. It is a dream for organizing a lot of bookmarks and you don't have to hover over a bunch of subfolders; folders stay open if you want them to whenever you open up the sidebar. Fantastic tool I would recommend to anyone wanting some additional control over bookmarks.

Not configuring or customizing as I specify... Am I the only one? It's too big, and specifying smaller or narrower width, nothing changes. I specified LEFT side during setup, it appears on RIGHT, tried to change to LEFT in settings, no change, still on RIGHT. If anyone knows a trick to fix, please let me know, otherwise sadly must delete it.

Beautifully designed. Making something so simple to use and easy to navigate takes talent and experience, so thank you to the designer. Bought the premium version after ten minutes as I knew this was a keeper

The best bookmarks extension ever! The styling is beautiful, configurable, and even includes a separator feature. I use this with the Opera browser.

It always places at the beginning of the folder even when we select and of the folder while bookmarking.

Will sticky mode come to the left?

This extension is great, and it makes bookmarking fast, but it's lagging for me making it slow and frustrating. Any suggestions to speeding it up? Do I need to remove a bunch of bookmarks I'm no longer using? How can I make it more responsive?

Wonderful extension. Can you please add a option so that when the sidebar open, the cursor by default goes to search bookmark text box.

I love it! From download to setup to working in under 60 seconds! It doesn't take up any room on my screen and pops up by moussing over (you can choose different options). I can easily scroll to see all of my bookmarks. Having the normal bookmarks bar across the top of my browser takes up valuable screen space. I often work in full screen mode and this works in both regular and full screen.

Coming from Firefox I have found the Bookmarks Sidebar to be probably the best and most useful Chrome extension I have found. After using it for a day, I decided to go Premium for the extra features, which are great value and make it even more customisable.

Love the app and how customizable it is. I also like that You are humble and let people choose for them self to pay You, witch I will most definitely do when I get money. Only problem is...I cant really find option to create new bookmark folder outside of two default ones. How can I do it?

I was looking for a bookmarks bar. This is a Speed Dial page. You can't open a bar on any page, it is always a new page with a sidebar. Settings ability is really great. But it's useless for me. I like my current Speed Dial.

Pretty good except it doesn't load on my Google homepage. When I open the browser Google homepage displays with the standard bookmarks bar at the top still. Once I navigate out it changes. If I return back to Google, it still keeps the sidebar.

Personally, it's really good, exept the fact that if my chrome is full screened, it prevents it from opening, but if its the click on icon on, its ok, really handy though, ima give this a 4/5 for the funtions and good usability.

It makes bookmarks/favorites more accessible than ever and is insanely customizable. It gives you an option to pin faves to the top of the sidebar, but sometimes the extension will freeze, then lose all of your pins and you have to re-add them. Otherwise it's great.

Is there any dedicated shortcut, so I do not have to touch my mouse? Otherwise great looking!

Sidebar doesn't appear permanently , why I should keep such useless extension ? , I removed from my Chrome at once

This is one of the best and elegant extension I've installed both on Edge and Chrome. However, on Edge browser, when sidebar appears hovering mouse; it shows Italic font of my bookmarks for 1/2 seconds and then get normal after that. Please fix...

Really wish you could keep it as a persistent sidebar (and not draw over the content).

Excellent extension. Smooth, stable, fast. Really enjoyed using it! My only issue is with the very broad Privacy Policy (https://extensions.redeviation.com/privacy/bs)... Take a look at the "privacy practices" tab for this extension... It says it collects the following user activity: "network monitoring, clicks, mouse position, scroll, or keystroke logging". KEYSTROKE LOGGING? Lol... If the developer can provide an explanation for every activity collected, then I may consider re-downloading. Until then, I've uninstalled. Props to the dev for such great software though! Really enjoyable extension! UPDATE: I emailed the developer to ask about the Privacy Policy and request that he delete my personal data. He replied almost immediately with the following: "Hey, thank you for your feedback. The extension is not storing any personal data, in fact only the communication via the feedback form as such, of course has to be stored (=a mail is generated and sent to me). Of course I will delete this mail after my reply as requested. Regards, Philipp" So looks like privacy is a non-issue. Already reinstalled. Thanks, Philipp!

Don not use this as it tracks and records your keystrokes!

Good way of implementing the standard Firefox/Explorer bookmark sidebar, only complaint I have is I can't find a way to disable the "are you sure you want to open X links at once?" popup like you can natively in Firefox.

Very impressive how easy it is to understand

I am very happy. All useful features are in free version - you're paying only for the additional stuff... which is worth it, but not necessary. Like really - one of the best apps in my opinion - fully customizable and with minimalistic design. Chapeau bas!

Rich featured, fully customizable. The only problem is that, cause it's based on sidebar, the sidebar couldn't be opened on some page.

Wanted an Extension like that for a long time. Now I Found it and even BETTER!

Worked well for a couple years, but now the sidebar will no show up unless I first click on the extension icon. I must do this every time I load a page. I would love it if the developer would fix this.

HELP! Anyone lol. has anyone experienced the sidebar errantly jamming up into the chrome homepage and know how to fix the bug/glitch, (I don't know the terminology. It's my favorite extension (sad face) And if the computer genius that made this created this majestic piece of programming reads this, and can send in The Wolf" and make this problem go away, I will, for the first time in my life, stop being a mooch and buy premium lol.

I really like this extension and this is why I have rated it at a 4 star. My only issue is it will not stay open permanently, I now know this is not something that is possible at this time as what I found through looking on the support site FAQ is this per the developer. I am thankful for what I now have but if it ever does change to where it can stay open permanently then I will make it 5 star. Thank you for this. I don't use Chrome for this main reason but I have it for when I have to multi task on a different browser and need to be signed in under my daughter's or husband's account. The sidebar is a must, this is why I seldom use Chrome. "Unfortunately I can not make the sidebar to remain open. Chrome doesn't allow extensions to implement a native sidebar, like the one in Firefox. Without the according application programming interface (API) the sidebar needs to be loaded again every time you navigate to a new page. I would like to have such a feature myself, but there is no way to implement this. "

Hello, does anyone know how to make it not turn the page white/washed out after you activate the bookmarks area? I'd love to have the bar opened virtually the entire time, and viewing the video page simultaneously, and then can easily click to another video bookmark (think similar to Windows Explorer with folders breakdown showing on the left side) - but currently whenever you have the bookmarks area open, the main webpage area becomes white/washed out

It would be nice to see this in new tab screen

There's some really excellent coding behind this extension. Hope you'll do more extensions. With that much talent we can except some amazing things. Used it only for a day. So I can't be sure yet that it's really any better than Tidy Bookmarks Tree. But in terms of design at least, it blows anything I've ever seen for Chrome out of the water. Big thumbs up ! :D

Amazing! Not only does it save vertical space, but it runs smoothly and looks professional while having plenty of customization. Thank you so much for sharing such a useful extension. I love it! I'm a bit weird, but I keep only icons for my bookmarks and remember them my positon and appearance. So the ability to make the bar narrower (either hiding the header or sorting the icons vertically) and even having it always visible with a narrower page (as an alternative to Chrome's default horizontal bookmark bar) would be welcome additions.

It's a great extension! But when will Chrome get a clue. The ONLY reason I have not switched from Firefox is because of Chrome's lack of a bookmarks sidebar.

URL in new tab always pre-polulated with "chrome-extension://jdbnofccmhefkmjbkkdkfiicjkgofkdh/html/newtab.html" Find it rather cumbersome and inconsistent. Side is always on, yet disappears, and will not show on a new tab when you create it via 'home' icon. Doesn't work for me.

This extension is criminally underrated! After becoming frustrated with my inability to successfully view/organize my bookmarks in other extensions, I found this one and I'm never looking back! Extremely slick design, and the customization options are just... *chef's kiss*

well I did like it, it even gets better in order to leave a review you have to download the extension. (hey buy this car, you also have to buy a windshield.) well this was a good extension to the developer starting messing with new tabs, DOESN"T WORK AT ALL. locks up and freezes chrome the second you open up a new tab page, delete this and wow google new tab page works flawlessly. did I say flawless, google. you should work for Google. you would fit right in with the broken extensions

Disappointing with Brave. It doesn't work on the home page, which is the nicest thing about Brave. There is an alternative home page provided, but which is ugly & boring.

Stupid google webstore never recommend good addons lik this one in the home page or even in search results, it recommands only the worst apps, i found this app by browsing th related apps section of the apps in first search results any way this is amazing really good work perfect thanks alot for making it for free for us, love from algeria.

cool, it's what I wanted.

I purchased premium and it wouldn't activate - I had to uninstall and reinstall the extension. Also the support/feedback form was inoperable. Now that I've got it working, it's useful.

This looks like the extension I was after; although it does not work on the Google page, which is technically an annoying thing since I have Google set as my home page. Does anyone has had the same problem?

Excellent Addition to Chrome! Very well designed and easy to use. Also love the customizability. Only issue I have with the extension is that it is a little laggy when hovering over bookmarks and opening directories in the sidebar.

This is one of the nicest-looking extension out there! But can you please make it constantly open like the sidebar on Vivaldi browser? I have a very wide screen so I don't need to close it, just let it be there. And can it be NOT a part of the webpage (the sidebar will not float over any part of the webpage, its actually a separate toolbar and the rest of the page is aligned to the left/right in full view). Tried loads before finding this. Easily the best bookmark app. Was surprised how it didn't come up for best bookmark app Google searches.

It was awful! It took up my whole page and I was left unable to type anything! This has to be the worst chrome extension of all time... The bookmark function doesn't work so when I try and go to the website I saved it takes me to a completely inappropriate and irrelevent. I do not recommend this to anyone. In fact it's one of the worst bookmarks app of all time. I expected at least a descent bookmark app...

This app is beautiful. They should have sent a poet. It's perfect at what it does and let's you customize to your hearts content. I've paid for apps nowhere near as good as this. I'm going to see if I can donate to this guy.
