Can Google remove this from the "chrome web store" - It doesn't work anymore at all. Why are non-working extensions allowed to stay here. If you use it - all you get is. - 404 Check Your Document Columns

Developer is no longer supporting this extension and it is no longer functional

The extension no longer works. If anyone is aware of a similar alternative, that would be great.

This extension is the most used tool by me, but recently it says "404 Check Your Document Columns" when I'm tring to scrap information. I hope this can be solved.

Unfortunately, support seems pretty non-existent. Tool has been broken for me the last week without any fix or reply from the developer. Prior to that, I thought the tool worked pretty well.

May 1st, 2021 Good News! Citable working in Brave, Edge and Vivaldi now. To install in any of the browsers mentioned, including Edge, just go the chrome store inside that browser and install from there. Good Job Owen!

Great tool. Very useful for research but also for keeping track of documents spread across various Cloud drives. I'd like to see the ability to add a couple of my own fields in a future version. Great work guys.

This is a LIFESAVER for anyone who needs to save a lot of links. I've been trying to find something like this for a long time and I was ecstatic when I came across this. I highly recommend this extension.

Great extension, highly recommend for anyone looking to keep track of online resources - I am not using it for citation purposes but still find it immensely useful!

Awesome tools for researchers.

One of the most useful tools for any researcher or student. While you look at webpages or articles you can highlight text and click the citable button and it will add it to a new or existing spreadsheet. Use it a lot to research!

Does anyone know how to get it to work in 2018? Great concept but it does not create a spreadsheet :(

Too simple for me. Looking for a good web page annotation tool. This is not it. All it does is basically add a comment about a web page to a sheet. It does not keep track about where on the web change the comment is relevant to which means there's not much point in adding multiple annotations per web page.

LOVE IT! I had been looking for a way to AUTOMATICALLY send copied web text to excel & found nothing...Used nppp with multiclipboard, but that stopped working with the new nppp version (didnt save to word/spreadsheet, but at least could access/edit unltd clipboard itms at once) Then found citable which does EXACTLY what I needed (cept with gsheets which is totally fine) & MORE! I can past my copied items into the extension, edit as necessary / take notes and then save them, which effectually automatically saves them to a sheet. Everytime u open the ext, you have the option to start a new sheet or continue in a prev one (in which new text is saved in the next open row). PLUS it automatically saves the link,date the row(note) was created, and tags (which u can create prior to saving) in different columns *If you're taking notes on a video (ie youtube), it will even save the time (min:sec) in the video at which you made the note, so you can know exactly when in a video specific/important parts are!

Great app for research....would be great to copy to bottom of a google doc. Often my links then get copied into a google doc for a report so hoping to find something on zapier or IFTTT or script to do this

It looks like it could be very useful, but like others have said, it doesn't save anything for me. Just asks to make a new spreadsheet, and nothing nothing nothing. SO BUMMED -- please help

So sad! This sounds like a great tool, but like others have stated, it doesn't save for me. Asks to "create new document" but then never creates or saves. Maybe it conflicts with another app? Adblock plus? I wish I know. I'd like to share with my students if it worked.

Forces you to sign-in with Google as a stipulation. A three year old unanswerable "alchemy" malware issue when connecting my browser to Google makes this extension a fail. Divorce it from signing in with Google and I'll use it.

I LOVE this extension. A clean and easy way to save things you want to add later. I know Evernote is great, but sometimes you just want something simple and effective.

I love the idea of it, but it doesn't ever save. I get 400 red (I assume an error code) every time I try. Let me know when this is working... I love what it looks like it should do. It would come in very handy!

Love this. Haven't tried yet to move the quotations from the spreadsheet into Zotero, which will make this extra-super useful, but even just saving them in a spreadsheet is great. Fabulous!

Developer, please allow the documents to be in different folders. Please, please, please, if it's possible. Does the API allow you to access a person's entire Drive--folders, files, and all? Then surely you can do this request! :) But if not, and if the API only lets you use One Folder, please don't let it be 'Citable_Documents' Folder :) The underscore breaks my heart. Rename it Citable, and it'll be perfect!

Would be perfect if you can choose the folder of the google document for saving.

Great extension. More capabilities than expected. I just had a hard time allowing the extension to manage Google Drive. Restricting permissions would make me feel safer.

Loved this one - easy to use and fully integrated with Google Apps so we don't have to set up more accounts with another website.

Nice extension! Not using it for research, but i wanted to have an online watchlist of movies that I should watch later (i'm doing this in collaboration with my wife). So she and I are adding pages with webvideo's and using the note for adding a description. Great tool! Feature request: add the OpenGraph description of a website or the website meta tags description by default.

really useful if you need to structure data that you find on the web

I think it would be nice to have the option to print onto 3x5 note cards in addition to post-its.

Just got a chance to use this for some competitive analysis I was doing today and it's great! I always hate going back and forth between my 'research window' and my 'google docs window' when I'm doing secondary research and this makes it pretty seamless. Added bonus: the ability to save citations and sources on multiple spread sheets keeps me from wanton-messy-source-saving and ending up with an illegible page of findings. Thanks!
