The purpose of this extension is to not only get your apps from one site, but to store your most critical information. According to the reviews on this page, it states that people are experiencing spyware and that crucial information is being stolen, such as, IP addresses, home location, and privacy of real life users being recorded. Not only it benefits them, but the school, too. From a theory of myself, I think Classlink is selling data and giving the information to the school the student goes to on a daily basis. So when downloading this extension, your normal device- computer, phone, tablet, etc.. . It is being turned into a school device where they can track your history, capture device information, and everything. This needs to be took down, or at least having this chaotic app not to be given critical information. Not only this harms the user, but the reputation on Classlink.

why TF do you need to know my IP? And why would you need location to put in passwords? there is no reason to know a location to be able to put in a password. (and I am forced to have this extension and I don't like that) so. for whoever made this i will never use this unless it becomes open source and I can look behind the curtains of this operation. but for whoever is thinking about using this extension DO NOT GET IT.

why does this have to exist

I feel bad for the people who made ClassLink. They must have worked so hard to make ClassLink and the extensions! It makes using technology One click easier! And like Alex Castillo said, it "does nothing" because you never noticed! Best School extension ever. 10 out of 10!

I just want to know why. Like why do you need my data. I dont want a company having access to everything 24/7. Also, it is so annoying. Whenever I open a new tab, It goes to classlink. I hate this.

Accessing your IP address is one thing, but location? Really not necessary for ANYTHING ClassLink should be doing.

Hey guys, check out the other extension (ClassLink Analytics+). It only has 6 reviews, all one star, and its even worse. It literally has a file named "IP checker" in the extension files. Maybe we can get that one removed from the web store if we team up. I don't understand why yall think that this is so bad, sure it can see your browsing history, but that's it. Sometimes it doesn't work on my home pc, but it still works perfectly with logging into stuff. (btw im not saying classlink is good, or this is good classlink is trash but my school uses it so yeah)

I had to download this on a personal computer for school, and now it can see my personal browser history and location on my HOME computer? This is a complete unnecessary violation of privacy. Why is this even allowed?

To all who say that it doesn't cause lag, I would like to tell you that that isn't the problem. We are concerned about our privacy. If you look in the privacy practices, you will see that ClassLink gains access to your passwords (which is understandable), but it also gains access to your IP address, GPS coordinates, and browser history. Personally, I do not understand how my location and browser history are useful to an SSO extension. While it does it's job well, these unnecessary privacy violations can lead many to believe that ClassLink is using this information maliciously.

ever since our school added this, my adblocker has failed to stay active for more than 20 minutes.

Lately it has not been working correctly, and now its making it difficult to access school files too. I need to do my work

I am truly concerned as to what is really happening behind the scenes. I ask of you to make this open source, otherwise I am NOT reinstalling this.

Goofy ahh extension

Hello to all the 5 year olds in the reviews who are unhappy. Stop complaining, the button is not supposed to do anything when you click on it, it doesnt make your computer noticeably laggy, and it actually helps you by automatically signing you into your websites. Maybe the slow problem is the fact that you have 30 tabs open or have 3 unblocked games downloaded on your computer. Stop posting negative reviews and think before you speak for once

yall are fr on something this works it makes it so clicking on an app in classlink redirects you to the app without having to sign in like you would when just looking up the website it "does nothing" because you don't notice it!!!!

I'm a student whose school made us install this for lockdown. For the next few months up to the last day of school, I feel so anxious as I worry teachers will use this application to intrude on my privacy. It was only after I graduated that I finally feel a sigh of relief for once.

ClassLink works great for our program! Students can log into everything automatically. Negative reviews here are just from confused people who don't understand what this extension does.

And blocking all extension's expect school sites it not the best Idea, I know you don't want students playing games or downgliding extensions there not supposed to but all sites for games are already block so what's the point students don't listen yes but This can descried them from doing their work because their board But reconsider this Idea of blocking all extensions.

spyware school installed it on my PC not thier laptop my PC and its on my chrome with my email not my school email and i cant uninstall it it also has the permissions to see everything on your page and change it

My school uses this and its completely useless, not only is it faster to just look up the or download the app your trying to use, but you cant even do that because it controls everything and you have to log in twice before your able to use any of the app. For example, if i try logging into google classroom i would just search google classroom, but now if i search google classroom it brings me to classlink and makes me log in twice even when im already logged into my google account, and every since we started using this it glitches my log in to my google account and makes me wipe my locally saved things on my Chromebook like every month

One day this just randomly popped up on my pc and it has been changing my app data and stuff. DO NOT INSTALL

I love this extension. It allows for easy sign on and allows me to get into all the apps easier. For those saying it doesn't work, it does, you just don't know how to use it. You don't click on it, it just syncs up with your school account.

Awful. Does nothing, school installed this piece of garbage.

I don't understand why this does anything for half of my classmates but not for the other half. This is an absolutely useless extension that does nothing at all. I cannot do any of my assignments with or without this extension which it was made to do; the classlink extension was supposed to let us sign into certain onelink apps but it doesn't even do that.

Just Terrible

At first I didn't know what this extension was for in my school chromebook. Now that my teachers gave us a proper demonstration on how to use it, however, it is really amazing. No need for annoying logins and all the important websites are in one app.

absolutely terrible doesnt allow me to use different websites and interferes with my apps.

I have a few problems with this extension. I first want to point out that it doesn't block anything, that is either your wifi or another application or extension your district is running. But, this extension does nothing. It doesn't save passwords, and it might even steal your data. I personally doubt that it is stealing data, but, it is always a possibility. I also don't like all the teacher's pets or just teachers in the reviews, commenting on students' posts saying that they make no sense. A lot do make no sense, but don't just go commenting on kids that are sharing their opinion. Thanks, and have a good day

Pretty Good app I know the extension doesn't work but I don't care a lot of people are dumb and will say it blocks my YouTube well you can unblock it too also if your working on school at the moment why do you idiots need YouTube?

Unless you're okay with running this thing on something your grandma's heart monitor, I wouldn't suggest getting it. It doesn't work on my laptop, and it doesn't work on a brand new chromebook. The extension regularly browses through your history, the sites you visits and what you do on this site. This function can only be turned off by going into your settings and disabling it through an extremely tedious process. Also, to the reviews saying "weh weh weh don't listen to the credible negative reviews this thing is awesome," there are three scenarios here. Either your a dev for the website, you're a teacher, or you just got extremely lucky. To all of the people who actually want this to be a usable extension, write a one star review. If you do that, they have to take it off of the app store and maybe the creators of this sub par extension will come up with a suitable replacement.

I needed to se this for school to access skyward, for year we haven't needed it but now we do apparently. All it does is let us access skyward and other than that I don't think it even does anything. Completely useless.

This extension does not work. I have used my personal computer, a school computer, and a friend's computer, and it doesn't work on any of them. I'm not leaving a negative review just to do so, I genuinely would like to use this, but it doesn't work.

This extension is the best cause it can save school emails,usernames, and passwords so if people thinking that it can block websites so this the extension you won't like CKAuthenticator and it can block all the websites like: coolmathgames.com, youtube.com, facebook.com, twitter.com, spotify.com, soundcloud.com, and roblox.com and it can block any website. And next time if i see you saying that it can block the websites your pretty much dumb!

i have never use this extension for its actual purpose it does no even show up in my bowser and when search more about it it takes me to a page that show me all the extensions on this device and i said the the extension could access all the data on all the websites that i visit so this just makes me not want to use this device anymore
