It definitely adds value by elaborating on the AAMC answers. But, it's pretty buggy and doesn't have answers for FL5. Most annoyingly, it wipes out any highlighting you did on the exam when you go to review it with answers. Good idea, a lot of room for improvement.

As others have mentioned, this would be amazing if it works right. I found that on AAMC material, it can reset your work (happens quite a bit), or will say a correct answer chosen is incorrect (BUT I THINK THIS IS FIXED IN A RECENT UPDATE), or will skip questions (this is new to me).

Great idea, not so great execution. The explanations are a great addition but it's so buggy that sometimes it's impossible to use. Extremely frustrating!!

I love seeing the AAMC questions in MCAT format, however whenever I use it, it tells me all my answers are incorrect, regardless of whether I get them correct or incorrect. Once I exit out of the extension, it will then update on the AAMC website that I got the question right or wrong. It throws me off a lot.Other than that, this is a great extension to have while studying for the MCAT!

Testing this Friday but wanted to leave a review before I forget. I'm incredibly grateful for this extension and why the AAMC doesn't format their practice material to simulate their ACTUAL exam is beyond me. Like another reviewer mentioned, if I'm on question #1 and want to go to question #50, I have to click through the questions one by one. This is NOT an issue for FLs (what counts), so I'd love for that to be addressed. Thank you JW and team, your resources (particularly daily CARS) have provided a ton of value. Signing off, -DryBones

NEEDS UPDATE ASAP! WAS WORKING FINE (actually great)––now it does not sync questions solved when back to AAMC (it only shows the last question done).

way too many bugs. barely works half the time

The idea is great and it is nice to be able to review the AAMC material in the actual MCAT format, but the execution leaves a lot to be desired. There are a fair number of spelling mistakes and sometimes the explanations are overcomplicated even though they are better than the AAMCs. The plugin is also super buggy at times. Sometimes it won't load, other times the answer choices are recorded incorrectly, the navigation is useless since you have to click through every question before they show up in the, I have also had some weird issue where it will just randomly scroll through questions until it hits the end.

I really wish I knew about this extension earlier, but I am glad I know about it now!

Invaluable resource! My brain hurts trying to decipher some of AAMC's explanations and this is a great supplement to understanding the questions more. I also like that the explanations are simplified as if a real, "normal" human being/friend is talking to me, unlike AAMC and the MCAT's verbiage. Thankfully, I have not found any issues yet and it seems to work fine for me. I usually have the AAMC version and then the JW version pulled up at the same time while reviewing. I'm glad this is available for FREE and I really appreciate Jack Westin, Phil, the company for all the help they've given with this MCAT Beast! THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!!!

This extension is an essential companion to AAMC review material! I personally find the official explanations for the AAMC section bank and full lengths to be too brief and confusing. This extension supplements the material by adding well explained and thorough reasoning behind each question and why each answer was correct or incorrect. I recommend this to everyone studying for the MCAT. Big thanks to Jack Westin!

Overall the extension provides great explanations to some otherwise lacking AAMC answer explanations. I also appreciate the reformatting to mimic what the test day format will be for these questions. However, please take a closer look at some of the integration. I got tripped up a few B/B section bank questions because it was marked as incorrect in the JW extension meanwhile my answer choice was correct. Actually on a few I've noticed that no selection option will result in it appearing as a correct answer choice.

I really find this useful. The AAMC explanations are worthless most of the time. They mostly say "the answer is A because I said so" but this explains the reasoning behind each option and why each one is wrong/correct

This is the single best tool out there for improving your MCAT score; everyone emphasizes how important it is to thoroughly review practice AAMC exams, and this allows for a much better understanding of each question!! So worth it!!

This extension has been very helpful during my study journey. I really recommend using this extension when reviewing AAMC study material.

amazing explanations

Few errors here and there, but overall amazing free tool to help with review. Safes so much time before I had to google every question I got wrong and why, Jacks APP helps reduce the time on this. Oh, and its free so thank you for this!

This is a very helpful tool! Although it does glitch sometimes; it is really useful when reviewing your answers. The AAMC explanations are not thorough enough but this extension provides with explanations for every answer choice and even tips and content information. So glad I found out about this when I did!

Exceptional explanations, however disappointed in the fact that sometimes diagrams in the passage will not be shown with the JW interface. Highly difficult when trying to reimmerse myself in content/questions I have to review.

literally one of the best things to happen to the premed/mcat community! randomly saw this recommended on reddit. the section bank explanations are gold and i only had to go to reddit for some questions which REALLY decreased the time i spent looking for answer explanations on reddit. really great diagrams as well!. they also have explanations for the full lengths and this really saves a lot of time. i am so glad i could do the CARS qpacks and diagnostic tool with AAMC format which AAMC doesnt even provide! also thank you for adding the timer. for those if you who cant get it to work...click on the extension...if it doesnt show up reload your page twice! thank you again!

Only downside is that you physically have to "click-through" all of the questions before you can view it in the 'Navigation' page. Not a big deal but would definitely be helpful when going back to review passage questions/discretes. Regardless, this extension is essential to mimicking the test center conditions and I find myself missing the option when I have to view the Official MCAT Prep Hub on other apple products where the chrome extension is unavailable (ie., safari on iphone, ipad). Would recommend to anyone (and everyone) prepping for the MCAT. Thank you Jack Westin Team for your continued efforts for all the struggling pre-meds out there!

While this plug-in is quite good, I have noticed many spelling mistakes all throughout answer explanations. As well there are a few cases where the answer they have given did not match to that provided by AAMC which led to some confusion. Overall it is good but I believe the answer choices need another round of review.

For those wondering, they have fixed the issue with only A answers. Extension works great!

I was really enjoying the extension but when reviewing the P/S Section of AAMC Full Length 2 i noticed the explanations were a question after for each one (i.e = #25's explanations were on #26). Is there already and answer that can fix this?

This interface is amazing and I am so thankful since AAMC explanations are obviously not as detailed. Thank you SO much for this Jack! Also, I am not experiencing any issues with the plug in itself. It works perfectly, records my score in AAMC, and is amazing. So helpful! Love it.

Really enjoy this interface so far, it works really well for a plugin and I was totally impressed with how seamless it incorporates itself. I already am acustomed to JackWestin's free Question of the Day passages, so I am familiar with the layout JackWestin uses to stimualte the MCAT. My only complaint is I wish it saved your progress time correctly when you're done, but its really a minor inconvience for getting test like stimulation. I do wish it ran a little bit smoother on my computer too but realy great plug in overall. I love seeing that JackWestin is constantly working on updates to fix bugs and offer a more realistic MCAT test like experience with practice questions.

it puts in the wrong answer on AAMC so i can't keep track of my progress. When clicking on the solution button it also doesn't work more than half the time. However, the concept and structure of it is amazing, but it needs a lot more work, I will be removing it until JW can fix these issues.

you can see the right answer because of the blue solution icon moving down when the right answer is clicked out of the 4. needs to be fixed because i am using a piece of black tape to hide it lol. thanks jw. pce

Overall, would not recommend using it until they fix the serious problems. Pros: - looks like actual MCAT interface Cons: - saves all of your answers as A, regardless of what you entered - sets the time that you spent on each question as 1 second, regardless of how long you actually attempted the question - doesn't show the answer explanation - doesn't let you move on to the next question. I reset all my questions as the extension asked, but then when I use the add-on, it doesn't let me progress to the next question.

I have been trying to visualize all the material I bought from the AAMC in this format, and it wasn't possible, until I found this extension. The idea is incredible! However, I am bummed that all my answers keep appearing as A, so I cannot get a feel for a realistic progress in the AAMC Hub dashboard. I keep resetting my products and it still doesn't work. Like I said, great resource, but it still needs some work as far as syncing with the actual AAMC dashboard. In the meantime, I will have to use the usual AAMC interface while I review content, and hopefully a new update for this extension will be released soon, for when I start working on my timing.

Doens't save progress and only answers A, it's better to just deal with AAMC's cheap format than deal with this

I used the "reset all questions" for the pack (CARS) that I was using and it still skipped my questions. When I finished practice, I clicked results and "save", but when I returned to the AAMC layout, it recorded all answers as 'A'. I tried resetting again for another question pack and with the intention of not using the "save" feature and just seeing how it worked, but while I was reading the passage and tried to highlight, the app froze and I was unable to continue on the page. Great concept, but does not currently work well.

Every time I click on the extension through Chrome on the practice page, it never loads or opens up the interface! Any fixes to this?

OMG this is exactly what I've been waiting for! I hated that AAMC didn't set up their practice packets with an interface like the actual MCAT. This is HUGE!! Thank you, Jack! :)

Brenan's review is accurate. Would love if it didn't preselect the answer to be A. and it didnt move forward if you leave the interface. All in all AMAZING move in the right direction!!!!

Works great! Please add a timer and make it possible to select the answer choice by clicking on the words instead of the circle.

Works pretty well so far. Nice to have. Shocked that AAMC hasn't done this themselves. EDIT: This works well just for a change in format, however it does not align with the AAMC and seems to answer the question if you look at it. This means you must submit an answer before moving forward or it will submit A for you.
