Great extension lots of kudos to the creators/maintainers. I'm running version 2.14.0 and I don't think the dropbox sync is working it says authorize but does nothing. Also tried sync to Onedrive also nothing got saved there. If sync isn't working might be better to remove the options as its false sense of security.

For some reason it requires a user script to be installed from a remote URL, I don't know why it doesn't allow just writing a user script manually and locally without requiring a URL. In my opinion, it's stupid and doesn't matter if this is open-source if it doesn't support just pasting a user script.

It's awesome! It has so many features, and is very intuitive. At first, the sync was broken, but I realized that it was just because I had an extension called "Clean URL" that broke Google sign-ins. After that, sync takes like 10 seconds, while Tampermonkey took upwards of 10 minutes! Amazing.

I liked it but when i click the "Find the script for this website" it look ups only in my local language. I want all but chinese, japanese.

Very similar with tampermonkey. But violentmonkey have more tools such as find more scripts from the page.

I liked it when I had a use for it, now I can not uninstall it for the life of me. Everytime I launch chrome, its back. I have tried scanning for rootkits, unsyncing my browser and all of the possible answers I've found online. I do not know if they do this maliciously but none of my other extensions do this

Only some of the scripts I had running in tampermonkey are working, very hit and mostly miss. For example, WAR link checker, runs and active but nothing doing!?

Never got TamperMonkey to work for some reason, and finding out about this some years ago was a total game changer for me. I just think the main dashboard presentation is not very organized. There are not many details in each script to justify presenting them as rows, and there is no clear distinction between what belongs to each namespace (besides maybe an icon, IF present). I think a much better design would be organizing namespaces as rows and each script in them as cards.

Seems to be working with all the scripts I run regularly and has the benefit of being open source instead of proprietary. I wish its built-in editor was a bit more robust is all.

Earlier, it was awesome but now it has a BUG due to which it does NOT function properly even on popular sites like YouTube and Facebook.

Access to r3---sn-qxa7snee.googlevideo.com was denied You don't have authorization to view this page. HTTP ERROR 403 I am Not able to down load Videos From You tube .......I have Delete Cookies And All history still facing problem

Open source, lightweight, and incredibly memory-friendly compared to Tampermonkey on my Vivaldi browser. Varies from 20,000K-50,000K during usage while TM was typically 200,000K+ with the same scripts! Definitely a must-have.

Amazing. This helped me deal with a websites wonky changes. They put up a button over a feature I needed, so I was able to use this tool to write a script to click that button every time the page loaded. Sanity saver!!

Violentmonkey is a ''BEAST'' ....

Giving it a test run vs tampermonkey. So far, it appears to work just as well, and possibly bit quicker. Well done.

What happened??? For some reason today, ALL of my scripts aren't loading up anymore. I've contacted their authors and they can't reproduce the issue and that it might be on the ViolentMonkey's side. I have Iridium by ParticleCore and reddit styles

My opinion,lighter than tampermonkey.

Alright. It does load fast, but unfortunately can be unreliable as certain scripts fail to load.

Lightweight and clean. Used to use it in Opera and keep using it in Vivaldi :-D

Better at handling userscripts then Tampermonkey.

- Full open-source - Very simple and lightweight - No usage stats to send back (tamper have this and does, unless you select an advance mode and turn that options off) - No donation annoyance (I've used tamper and it's shown the nagging donation popup when opening dashboard after time passes, it's waste my time to manage and/or edit script.)

Only feedback I can offer is be consistent with the name and use Violentmonkey everywhere so that people don't get confused about what the name of the extension is. Will most likely make it easier to find on Google too.

Better than Tampermonkey. Better UI, and syncs with Dropbox. Handles the @require metadata. Love it! I would pay for it.

after update lastnight 15/5/2016 my extension suddenly dont want work properly. omg i hate this! i forget to backup my script :( how to i get back my script if my extension doesn't load or can't click the icon violentmonkey. RIP! please FIX!!

Finally released. Been using this in Opera since Presto, glad it finally made it's way to chrome. Simple, light and fast.
