Reviews & Comments of Gmail Unsubscribe - bulk email unsubscription chrome extension

I use this a few times a month. It seems to have helped though in most cases I believe its more of an issue with gmail and google being evil. I would like to see maybe an options menu where I can modify the default behavior. Something I would like to be able to do is send the email to trash if its sender has been logged as unsubscribed before. Theres a lot of duplicates that get through that end up at an unsubscribe mechanic that 404's or doesn't actually let the user unsub. Since they are filtered already it would be nice to send them straight to the trash. As of writing that would require me to edit about 15 filters (and growing).

This did in fact work but I didn't like how I had to log in with my credentials. Quick use and delete and password reset for me

works as intended, though I would like it if it could unsubscribe from more than one page of emails (ie. when the "select all conversations that match" is selected"). Otherwise great app.

It is really really slow and never fully worked. I had to unsubscribe one at a time to get it to function. Waste of time

Obsessed with this extension. I had an pile of unwanted spam in my inbox and I was able to get things in order so quickly. Baxter seems super helpful so far as well. wish I had found this extension sooner

It didnt work? I unsubscribed all the emails I didnt want and I am still getting them?

So far so good! Are the emails actually being unsubscribed from or just being filtered out. I noticed emails are being created into a filter list. Are there settings I can go through to disable filters from being created?

Ugh. It has some difficult quirks that I put up with, but now they've added a signature line to outgoing emails that you can't get rid of without paying them. Not cool at all.

Horrible extension. I lost emails from things I did not unsubscribe from. People were emailing me but couldn't get through so I had to search for their emails. MAJOR RED FLAG -- this extension adds a link to your EMAILS without permission and embeds itself so any time you send an email, at the bottom, there's a huge box with their branding. Horrible. Awful. Do not get.

Seemed to delete loads of my emails from the inbox. All i wanted it to do was unsubscribe me, that's why i installed the addon. I didn't ask for it to filter my emails and hide them from me. After removing the label, all my emails from the first page of my inbox have disappeared, WHERE HAVE THEY GONE!? They are not in any other folder!

This was a useful extension until they just started adding spammy looking signatures to the end of my emails and asked me to pay to remove them. Dropping it like a hot potato! Yikes!

I thought this was great, however, what I have realised is it does not unsubscribe you from anything, it just created a new folder in your emails and moves all of the emails to that. so you will still be subscribed and getting them.

its not unsubscribing, its just moving all the selected emails to a archived folder . is there any way to bulk unsubscribe ?

in my opinion i do not believe that it would need to see my browsing history. i of course don't do anything bad, but sometimes it just feels like someone is watching me of what i do and that's my fear, and quite makes me uncomfortable just knowing that. why would and email thing would have to have access of my history..? makes no sense. i don't get it and don't recommend. also it would keep your computer at high risk just by having access of a lot of things, which is unnecessary. i don't recommend.

Does NOT unsubscribe from the email lists, just puts them in a folder called "HNGUnsubscribe"

Been wanting something like this for a while. It removes selected mails from the Inbox and adds them to a new label called "HNGUnsubscribe". Question is, is that all it does or does it go into each and actually unsubscribe as well?

Really good - I do have a question though - I accidentally unsubscribed and blocked one sender that I need to "unblock" so I can receive mail from it again. How do I do this?

People has privacy concerns for their mailbox but I dont think by anyway they are using your data, they are just helping you to unsubscribe for the emails you dont want to see further... go for it

This extension requests a lot of permissions that it does not need. This means it is a security risk. It is also important to note that other extensions providing the same features do not ask for these permissions. I will happily edit this review if there is a reasonable explanation. It is a solid idea but I have found several times that my inbox freezes when the extension is active. I have confirmed on 6 different accounts by enabling/disabling and also installing/uninstalling/installing. Disabling or uninstalling the extension always fixes the issue.

Thanks, team Unsub :) Earlier I was using unroll.me but one thing which I hated was how my data was shared with Rakuten intelligence team for data mining.
