Absolutely awesome! Above the cut, the ability to drop guideline + CSS integration set this extension apart.

I use this all the time. Perfect tool. Does one job really, really well. I just wish I could get it on Firefox :(
Love it. If there could be an option for quickly adding the last type of rule via left click, that would be amazing (horizontal, vertical or both). I would also suggest left click to default to "set origin" when no rule has been placed yet. What would make this absolutely insane would be snapping to bitmap pixels as well (maybe in a separate mode). It would have to detect edges via colors wich can be quite complicated. A would be very very nice to have I'd say.
I get the impression that it is not working properly when you use dev tools, turn on devices view, and set the zoom to, for example, 50%.

Very good work and thanks for your effort! Really love it and always use it as very helpful on my development jobs. Could you please consider to add one more feature which only element properties can toggle because they will mess up so that the distance cannot be viewed clearly if inspecting the page in small viewport such as mobile device size. Anyway, thanks again!
Perfect, really useful and easy to use. I just don't like the logo... the colors don't combine well, it's not anti-aliased and the arrows should be symmetric. For an extension about measuring pixels, I think the logo should be pixel perfect :P I can do a Pull Request if you want!
I like it, but I'm uninstalling it.. using the esc key as a shortcut is an odd choice.. esc is used for so many other things, and there are other key combos that conflict with other tools. I'd keep the extension if it could be deactivated properly from the toolbar button.
This is the _best_ extension. Has helped me to get things right, and to show other people that something is correctly placed.

Inner perfectionist`s essential extension.
After installing Tape, I could not get the tool to work. Turns out I was accessing a file (file:///blah/blah/blah/index.html). I had to go to Manage Extensions where I could select 'Allow access to file URLs' for this plugin. As soon as I did that, it worked. The tool is very useful.

Wonderful plugin to ensure the pixel precision
This is by far my favourite web development extension. I hope there is future development on this, to make it even more stable/awesome in random places. ie) over the top of images, pdf's, iframes etc. And sometimes the labels on the guidelines block out elements a little making it hard to measure.
Simple, minimalistic tool that does exactly what you want it for!

Love this extension! Would like to see a toggle for showing/hiding the lines on the cursor. Sometimes I just want to place some lines, shut off cursor lines, and use the inspector to tweak my css, but the cursor lines can get a little in the way.
best ruler tool for chrome
Really helpful plugin! The only thing that is a little annoying is the fact that the "R" button is already mapped for a specific function, and this funtion also pops up when I hit Ctrl+R to refresh the page. Other than this I had no other problems.
This is a wonderful plugin for web development. It is simple, easy to use, and accurate. A great tool for anything that has to deal with customer who need things to be pixel-perfect.
Excellent, just what I needed!
Unfortunately I'm in that small group of people who find themselves clicking on the Tape icon and getting zero response. When it last worked (a couple of months ago) it was really nice. Wish the developer would investigate and find out what might be interfering with it.
I'm really liking this over the other measure/ruler tools.

Best ruler extension on chrome web store. It's easy to use and it gives you all required information from a ruler!

An awesome extension!!! And it can be better if it saves all guidelines for future use. Guidelines now disappear whenever the page is reloaded and I need to add the lines again.
I'm really liking this extension so far. My biggest use for it is the column view, and because of that, I have a few requests/suggestions to possibly improve it: After pressing C, can we have the window let us specify a. Number of columns b. Color/opacity of columns (with a jquery color picker, perhaps?) c. Column width d. Gutter width e. Give us the option to limit the grid to the center of the window (i.e. for the 960 or 978 grids - should be default) or span the whole page if so desired Like I said - this is a fantastic, full-featured tool so far that just needs a bit of polish to make it really awesome.
Snapping and showing the distance between lines makes it so easy to measure things!
I like that it can target elements. Exactly what I needed to inspect my (too) complicated layouts.
Doesn't work for me at all. Is this written to be platform-dependent? The write-up doesn't say anything to indicate this, but it doesn't work on my Macintosh.
This extension is auper AWESOME just one comment or bug the tape doesn't work inside Iframes inside pages could you please fix that?

On public pages, it shows its promise. Unfortunately, it has to work on local files to be of any use to me as a developer. So, consider this another vote for looking into "local file support" mentioned by "A Google User"

This extension is AWESOME! I have used MeasureIt for a long time, but am really loving Tape. I agree that it would be nice to be able to drop guides using the mouse. Keep up the great work!

This has just replaced MezerTools for me. It's the perfect app for checking layout and determining pixel sizes.
Nice job. Works as described. Couple Feature Ideas: 1. Click / Shift+Click to drop Vertical / Horizontal guide. 2. Configure guide color Personal Opinion: Those icons are pretty ugly. Ha ha.
