This thing kept on closing when i was starting my exam, I wonder why UNISA recommend it because it is giving us alot of issues

Absolutely horrendous software, so buggy, so laggy. Having to deal with the stress of a poorly created invigilation app during an exam is just terrible

This tool is the worst invigilator app ever. The face detection does not work property, it lags constantly and occasionally freezes. This is a chromium extension for goodness sakes... why does a chromium extension be so laggy and freeze constantly? I can bet a high school dropout can create a better invigilator app than Iris for chromium-based browsers. This is what happens when corporations don't read comments... they are lazy to improve their buggy software, let alone their inability to take criticism.

This thing is very useless and not user-friendly at all.

ive been struggling for the past 2 years to write my UNISA exams with this IRIS Invigilators app. i have lost 2 years and been setback because this app works one day and the next day it just doesnt work. i couldt write my edam again today because the robot didnt pop up and someof the unsa consultants are so rue thry refuse to help

Not user friendly

Its inconsistent and crashes most of the time.

It is not user friendly. I downloaded the app and successfuly used it once after that everytime when writing tests, it is difficult to access it or to find it active. It is terrible!

Systems like these make me wish one could give a zero-star review.

Hope this doesn't become regular use for exams

I see a lot of students writing complaints about the system, truly though this is the future for online exams! FOR ME the system has worked as it said it would, I use rain and get a steady speed of about 250kb to 500kb, which is sufficient to use the system, to upload my data at the end and it takes about 5 - 8 minutes and it closes automatically. Following the instruction that is given by UNISA is easy and makes this process simple, I recommend the system continues to be used and backed for the future of UNISA. Students that have problems with it being slow, have not followed guidelines of UNISA, data was given to students therefore the online servers should not be a problem. The only thing that needs to happen is UNISA needs a 24 hour support line that replies within minutes to help clueless students, because unfortunately students can't follow written instructions, it would also take pressure off lecturers trying to responds to related issues with exam tools. Time to invest in the future.

0/5. This software is absolute garbage, and just does not work on MacOS. Good luck if your institution forces you to use it.

It doesn't upload the files, it creates a more stressful environment and it costs you more money and time having to pay to rewrite something that you already written. Sometimes twice already due to the application failing.

Looked down at my keyboard and it thought i had left, hopeless application with hopeless capabilities.

I could not go past the installation phase. Response from support team takes forever. I just hope Im able to get help before my exam.

Terrible system. Uses so much bandwidth. Very distracting when trying to write exams.

Utter garbage. I couldn't even get past the sharing your screen, the share button is disabled.

Fail to upload. And now I couldn't even open finanlise recordings. How can I submit my recording to school? This is an important exam for me but IRIS destroy it! Rubbish App.

Does not work half the time. When updates do get rolled out the end up having more bugs than before. Some backalley development at work.

NOT HELPFUL

I have to rewrite my COS3721 exam for the 3rd time in 2 months. The last 2 times they did not receive my recordings and I was marked absent. Unisa should stop using this malware.

Does anyone from Iris or Unisa ever read this. Horrible way of punishing students. Its not user friendly at all. One has to spend time trying to figure it out. How do we upload our pictures? This is a nightmare. Unisa should do away with this. There is only one person trying to help so many students....what a joke.

I rate the concept 5. Haven't had (serious) issues after two exams yet, luckily! but I hear students complaining about this allot, failing to pass their exams due to not being able to start a session or complete their uploads. It should be native on the institutes platform, not a plugin, and it lacks features, needs more real life testing with students that struggle to use computers... If I fail to finish an exam due to this system, I will lose it!!!!

When the session ends it does not automatically start uploading files as it should, I had to read through the FAQ and force the software to close and finalize uploads manually The facial tracking works worse than Microsoft built in software which is hilarious when you are releasing this software as production ready, I've seen students on YouTube develop better tracking software. How can you claim to be using ML and AI as a method to catch people when you can barely even track someone's face, highly doubt you'll be able to track someone's eyes for movement or any other ticks to trigger suspect activities. With the above in mind, you pretty much make every recording flagged as suspicious, defeating the point of the software as to verify the students legitimacy the lecturers will need to watch every recording for every student, good job with that. I hope that all universities drop you as a provider for exam monitoring software because you seriously have outdone yourself scamming them out of whatever cash you have been receiving from them

Fails to upload the files. Throws out a general error that is of no help. no feedback to see past uploads and the status of what was successful. Worst app ever made. I would give it 0 stars, as a system that monitors exams determining if the student passes or fails has I major affect on the students life, it can put strain their education efforts, theirs lives, their time, their money. If I fail my exam due to this technicality of the app not uploading the files, I will no longer comply with minimum requirements of my degree, which has major time and cost implication, above several other negative influences in my live. This app fails to meet a standard of being trustworthy to do as it must. I see it as the equivalent of Google Maps giving you directions to a location successfully, but the instructions tell you to drive off a cliff, and you cant do anything to change it

this is the worst thing ever invented. i tried it on different devices, and different devices have different problems. If you are planning on using IRIS, I urge you not to use it. it is a complete waste of time and resources. IF there was a zero star rating that is how much i would rate it. One star feels too much to rate this garbage.

Useless. Doesn't work half the time. When I finally got it to work it kept telling me I need to stay in frame, when I clearly was.

Initially it did not want to work. Everything was fine until the password was needed. Nothing happened. Closed my browser and tried again. This time it worked but was slow to fill in the password. Now it seems to work.

It doesn't work, 10/10 would NOT recommend, especially for examinations or tests. Creates additional stress to the student because it doesn't work which isn't ideal for final exams.

This is a terrible system, if you're reading this and intend to use it for your students' exams, PLEASE DO NOT.

google should ban this extension permanently, it uses too much data bundles.
