It does not work on ancestry.com

This does not work for Reddit as a PWA. For whatever reason, click on notifications icon in Reddit opens a tab in a new window... so annoying. I thought this extension would force the opening of the notification in the PWA I have open already.

It was great but now has stopped working, I have the extension turned on but pop ups open in new window. I have toggle the extension off and back on to get it working again. Every time I reboot. Which is a real pain.

Doesn't work on MacBook Pro. Went to Etsy to test, turned extension off and on several times. Refreshed page. It's a joke. Doesn't work AT ALL. I absolutely HATE Chrome but LastPass works best with it, otherwise I'd stick to Safari browser because it just works, no special downloads or anything to get new tabs to stop opening. I just want to hit back button to go back where I was, not close another dang tab. PITA Google!!!!

This should be configurable as part of Chrome, it shouldn't need to be an extension.

Opens popup windows as tabs - awesome.

The extension is exactly what I have been looking for. It seems to work in both Chrome & Edge in Windows 10. In Windows 11 with Edge it does not always work, if I disable it & reanable the extension it works for that session. If I reopen Edge I have to repeat the process. Weird why I don't have this issue in Windows 10.

Works great but every time I shut down and power up my Surface Pro 7, (it did the same thing on my old Surface 3), I have to disable and re-enable it for it to work. I see in the comments that this is a common issue and years old. Maybe a single star will get some attention to the issue. Of course if Chrome just had this as an option...

incredibly useful but i wish there was an option to open all websites in the same tab, for some reason some links will open in current tab and others will create a new tab?? however its free and makes using chrome slightly more bearable so im happy with it :)

well i mainly downloaded this for Ebay. but it still lets ebay open a new tab..... this doesnt work

I got this because ebay being the epic failure ebay is and is incapable of doing anything correctly especially if it involves being user friendly, have decided to force new tabs or just glitch as they are always doing when changing things pretending they are still relevant. It did not work on ebay. Ebay will open a new tab for every item you click on now. This is not fixed in the browsers settings as ebay did this as many, many others are also complaining about this. This extension did work for Aliexpress that would also open new tabs on every click but had no effect on ebays disaster. So, since it did not work for what I needed it for 2 stars but I could see it working for someone else with a different issue.

This extension is ESSENTIAL. Keeps my browser windows organized.

I tried the extension to stop Office 365 from opening new tabs. It does not work at all even with "Reuse tabs" checked. Every file link I click on is openend in a new tab.

should provide option to whitelist certain websites/urls. Otherwise very helpful

this doesnt prevent websites like ebay or etsy from opening new tabs for every listing, which is the only reason i tried this extension. im sure its works just fine otherwise, but personally ive never had an issue with popups.

It does what I want. Sometimes when opening my browser for the first time of the day I have to disable this extension and then re-enable it for it to work. Otherwise it is very helpful!

So nice with the programs that we use. No longer ending up with many windows open, but just keeps opening tabs and keeping things grouped together that way.

Force tab in same window feature does not work with current Chrome even after reloading the page. Clicking gerrit build hyperlinks still open in new tab and they only have target="_blank" rel="noopener".

It is a life saver! Forcing my ticketing system to behave how I need it. The only bad thing I have found is it breaks Hangouts as it will not open in a tab. Work around, disable extension>open hangouts>enable extension. So Whitelisting/ignore list would get this extension 5 stars.

It is very nice addon, just got a problem with Site access - Access on specific sites is not working. I wanted to specify only a few of sites, but now it is used on every site. Other than that, working as expected.

This extension is GREAT, so much so that I just donated $20 to the developer for the impact it's had on my day to day work! One small issue is that when a new tab is opened, there are lots of times when I cannot right click any buttons on the screen to provide input. There is a simple workaround for this (I just have to move my cursor to the top of the window and drag it around a bit with my mouse and then am able to use right click on the button again). Would love this extension even more if this small bug was addressed.

Thank God--er, Sergiy-- for this extension. There is nothing else like it that works so perfectly. There is an application I work with professionally (AutoTask) that opens all links as pop-ups. Without this extension I would have scores of new browser windows open, instead of tabs. Thank you Sergiy!

This helps me keep so much more organized since the website I do most of my work through opens EVERYTHING as a new window. Now that I've been using this I no longer 'lose' windows when I am asked to switch tasks to take care of a case and then try to find what I was originally working on.

It is a very good extension. Does exactly what it describes. Only that sometimes i need some exceptions. Some websites needs to be popped out.

When I first found this I was ecstatic ...why in the world Chrome has to control every aspect of what you do and force you to have all these separate open windows...is beyond me!!! Now though...IT DOES NOT WORK more than it does. I have to reactivate it all the time (when I can remember how I did it the last time) and then even sometimes it doesn't work. So now I have an extension that will SOMETIMES work or I have Chrome controlling me with separate windows. I don't know about anyone else but when I have to deal with those extra windows in Chrome there is no functionability (we're good long as we are just reading and do not have to go back or maneuver in any way. If anyone out there reading this knows how to get this extension to stay activated please let me know... So I have to give it only 2 stars since more than half the time it does not work for me...but if it did work all the time it would get 5 for sure...

I use a specific web application that forces the browser to open a new browser window for it's links. This solved that problem so quick and made my life way easier and organized. Thank you!

Forget the extension. This should be an official "baked in" option for Chrome/Chromium. Internet Explorer was capable of this functionality officially. I think Microsoft Edge has it too.
