This is an amazing extension that really shows a stockfish view. I'm being careful not to cheat :))

why does it say::: Do not use the extension in an ongoing game. If the game has already ended and you would like to scan positions from it, go to Chess.com analysis first and then open the extension

used to be perfect. now you have to go to the analysis page of chess.com before you can snapshot and analyse, even when the game has literally already ended OR you're spectating a match and want to see the reasoning for the evaluation bar that's literally already there. all because for some reason they're scared of cheaters. how silly and timewasting

Now it have stopped working on owngoing matches on chess.com why so you can fix it soon

I got this when I was elo 200 I played with it and got up to elo 1000 but I soon relaized that was cheating so I stopped using it and I had noticed I had gotten much better and into 600 elo and whenever I had a problem I could use it to teach me. And as of late the reason why this is only 4 stars is because it stopped working in matches it still works just fine but I get an alert saying chess.com says you may use this extension after the game.

Really good, but it sometimes suddenly changes the move somehow.

It's great for analyzing games, It removes the requirement of 1 analysis per day.

the scan is always inaccurate when u use it on chess.com but other than that its amazing for begginers

First rate app and the improvements keep coming. When I'm reading a book or watching a lesson i can easily follow variations that I don't fully understand. I deplore the cheaters who muck things up for everybody. How 'bout you actually try to get better at chess instead of grifting for elo points? ugh.

I liked this app it helps me learn but can you please make this app automated/go itself so I don't have to drag the pieces on the extension? Could me make there options to change the board to dark wood like chess.com plz.Last request is could you change the name to something else because I can't use it at school because of the name/could you make it work on school internet?

can you add a depth setting?

Indispensable for reading chess ebooks. However, I wonder why the interface gets blurry sometimes? Is there some sort of gaussian blur being applied to avoid aliasing?

Sucks since latest update which asks for sign in. 10/11 times its not working when I click on it. Have to reinstall the extension. Is a virus.

I was looking for a good chess board scanner this is the only one I found that actually works! and it gives you a link to chess.com and lichess analysis board. Just remember to not use this for cheating or you will get band from chess.com...

Really incredible! Saves so much time and lets me analyze positions from videos that I would never have had the patience to before.

This extension has completely changed how I review my PDFs and small Kindle collection of chess books. I now have to option to open the Kindle books via https://read.amazon.com, allowing me to use ChessVision to work through the samples and exercises with ease. Looks like I'll be replacing my printed books with their Kindle editions!

This is such a cool extension! Love it! I only wish they had a live tracker for the odds on the match. They show how good each move is in points, but not by how much you or they might be winning.

So easy to use and doesn't need much set up.

This extension is amazing! It works perfectly.

simple and easy to use. some errors occassionally in identifying pieces, but probbaly the best chrome extension for it right now. The interface with chess.com to find the position in their database is amazing!

Great extension, but the copy FEN doesn't work for me.

Amazingly useful app!

I like it, works best with games over 10 minutes. Tried a minute game with it and it takes too long :( Maybe make an optional feature that controls your mouse, clicking at the right position on the board, so it doesn't take 5-7 seconds to make a move but more like 3.

Very accurate, pretty much always gets every position correct. Very useful on Youtube. Only concern: If you leave the engine on and close the extension window, the engine keeps running and drains a lot of computing power. Maybe something to fix :) Thank you very much for this brilliant extension!

Amazing when I'm watching a game analysis on YouTube and want to know what the engine thinks. This is such an easy and convenient tool. It also lets you select if it's black/white's move and fix board orientation if its accidentally flipped, or even edit the position if the tool missed a piece or added a piece (happens around 1 in 15 times to me)

Very buggy, window is hard to manage, resize and organise. VERY High potential for abuse and cheating over fair use, and this issue is not addressed anywhere in the documentation. The engine can take some time to get started after each activation or move. Scrolling down into menus sometimes leaves you stuck down there, unable to scroll back up and having to restart the extension.

Edit: The problem has been figured out, great plugin! I would give 5 stars but sometimes it bugs out and thinks certain moves are illegal even though they aren't. For example it produced an FEN where it announces mate in 2 because it thinks a move that stops mate is illegal but it's not. Somehow the supposed "illegality" of the move is embedded in the FEN so even if you plug it in a program it also says its illegal. Here is the FEN of the example position I was talking about: 1K2R3/r1P5/1PN3Q1/1r4P1/2p2R2/3p4/2p2qb1/2k5 b - - 1 1

3 things thing 1 From 4 to 5 stars. here is my previous concern: how come sometimes the lichess engine is on after a scan and sometimes it isn't? --> solution: just test a different position 1st. turn off engine if need be. then load your regular position. or just cover your screen with the engine part and load it on lichess (make sure to do turn off engine in regular lichess 1st though!) thing 2 i use this for desktop and then chessify for mobile. --> update: use chessvision app instead! contact them to be a tester or something. thing 3 unlike chessify, chessvision indirectly supports 9LX because chessvision links to lichess w/c indeed supports 9LX --> thus when you load a position from a chess960 game, you can edit the position to allow castling. however when you use chessify's editor, you can't necessarily allow castling.

Its a great extension, But I have to play the chess move in extension after playing in board. If its kinda auto scan or auto detect if a move is played its gonna be good

Very good, just a little polish needed. On the lichess analysis you can't scroll down to see all the lines, and this means you can't make use of the cool feature to see the moves play out by moving your mouse over the moves. Please make a scroll function.

Great! it works perfectly! It may do scan some things wrong, but you can always change it.

Pretty good, only problem with it is that it scans way too slow, pretty decent though.

love it but i think an amazing feature would be auto scan, so it would be scanning the board constantly and updating it on the engine, showing you the moves without you having to click a button, would save us a headache

Ever watch a game online and wonder what happens if they go there or who is better in the position? Scan the position using this app and you can play out the moves you would like to see or ask the computer to give you an evaluation. Plus many other great features: Opening book, play the computer from the position.

Since the latest update, after pressing scan the popup closes and it wont open again unless you refresh the page. How to fix?

Trying to build this using computer vision application myself, however this is seamless. This definitely should be a paid product.

Using on youtube videos is hard many of the times it dont scant properly

Its nice to analyze games in videos but i notice it uses stockfish 11 instead of 13 so please fix it.

great to analyze future moves. Nice to analyze without having to open another tab. The extension could be a little more user friendly though.

I wish discovered this a longgg time ago. Sure it could be used for cheating if you're a sore loser, but this is an incredibly useful extension for any chess player of any skill level. Far too many times I see a position on say, a Youtube video, and manually putting a custom setup from scratch just takes too much time. This makes things far easier and quicker. 5/5

Although very useful I suspect that prime audience are cheaters. Author (Pawel Kacprzak) didn't respond even once on the cheating problem. IF cheaters success is his prime concern, then I don't have too much to say... He's probably selling your email to hackers! Are you Pawel?
