It's great when it works. Lightweight and simple. But it randomly decides not to work at times so you can't depend on it.
Works randomly. When it does it is what I expected, but most of the time doesn't works.
Just doesn't work. Yes, I've restarted Chrome...
Exactly what I was looking for!
doesn't work. restarted chrome, resized, nothing.
Works fine for me. Google Chrome [Version 86.0.4240.183 (Official Build) (64-bit)]
Does nothing. Completely useless.
Other extensions are too complicated. Too much clicking. I just want to see where I'm at for the viewport without going to a menu or clicking anything. This extension executes with perfection!
This extension is useful, but it would be pefect if the information rectangel would allow to edit and type in the dimensions manually. Please consider it :D Cheers from Portugal
Awesome! I'm wondered why browser vendors still haven't included this feature to their code. Thanks for the extension.
Works fine for me. I'm on Chrome Version 74.0.3729.169 (Official Build) (64-bit). It's a great way to quickly see the size of a window.
Works good!
Not working!
It's not working with Chrome Version 70.0.3538.102 (Official Build) (64-bit)
Awesome tool, works great.
It does not work. I'm using Chrome Version 67.0.3396.87 (Official Build) (64-bit). I installed, closed Chrome, started Chrome, it does not show me the viewport dimensions anywhere. I checked the options too.
This is exactly what I needed. Nothing flashy just browser dimensions. This is especially useful when working with viewport units (vmax, vmin, vh, vw) and just need a quick look to see what's working. FYI Mac users, in case you're a newbie like me, I noticed closing the browser and opening it to activate the extension wasn't enough. I actually had to quit the browser then reopen it.
As with many other attempted users, it does not work for me.
Couldn't get it to work.
Hi I liked your extension, I have offer for you. Write to me on the mail and I'll tell you the details. My mail: [email protected]
DOES NOT WORK - YOU SUCK.
I doesn't work. It has one purpose and can't fulfill it.
It simply doesn't work. Restarted chrome, resized my window, fiddled with the options, nothing.
THANK YOU! <3
Didn't work. :(
not work
USERS: - Does exactly what it says it does - Nice customization features - Definitely download and at least see if it works for you! DEVELOPER: Can you make it so this app is easy to toggle on and off. There are definitely times where I don't want to see the screen sizes but I don't want to have to delete to app every time.
Doesn't work
Doesn't work. Restarted Chrome and tried changing options but it just doesn't appear.
It didn't work. I closed Chrome and restarted. It still didn't work.
No idea why people are saying it doesn't work. I've been using it for about a year and had no problems.
Works great -- make sure to close every instance of Chrome after install. Edit: For local pages, you need to enable file URLs in the extension options.
Flat out does not work. At all. When resizing the browser window literally nothing happens. What a shame. Guess I'll have to stick to the screen emulator for now.
Works as expected for me! (I'm on Chrome 59, Windows 10. I did have to check allow access for local files.)
EPIC!!!
works great for me - thanks! :)
Works for me on all of the web sites I work on – which is a lot!
It simply didn't work, hence a waste of time
Does not work.
Does not work
Does not work for pages, that are on my computer, but it works for some. I am sure that there are better plugins that might work on all sites
Not working in Chrome 56 Mac
Does nothing
Its not working even after closing restarting the browser.
To make it work on local files, you have to give it access to file URLS in the chrome extension menus.
Does not work
Does not work.
Use this when I'm building websites - really helps with responsive. Works exactly what I need it for.
No instructions regarding how to make it work. Had to uninstall. The video is silly and does not show how to make this work.
does not work at all, on latest chrome, and not on any site.
dos not work at all
Just perfect! I don't understand the bad reviews. It does what it advertises!
Fulfils its purpose, but creates an element in the DOM which can result in breaking your code if using .prev() selectors in scripting languages such as jQuery. You can also code this functionality in your projects as a standalone dev plug-in easily enough to warrant this being removed.
Works like a charm!
Great - does exactly what I wanted it to since Chrome removed the default feature for this for some reason
Great addon, works exactly as described. Only improvement would be the option to show it only when DevTools are open. But it's not hard to toggle on and off.
This only works on some websites, why??????
works as expected. feel like this used to be part of dev tools, but recently went away- or became a preference that I can't find.
I really needed something like this, does exactly what it says it does, thanks Christophor.
bugged and doesn't work on all sites. garbage software. can't advise to use it. does anyone know some replacement to chrome showing dimensions (when using developer tools)? besides this little buggy annoying programme
Works like a charm! Thanks!
Doesn't work on all pages.
Doesn't work on all pages. For example, right here on the Chrome webstore. Also doesn't work on some of my sites. Seems to be no consistency to when it doesn't work. And yes, I've restated Chrome. It's not that it doesn't work at all, for most sites it works. But for others (like here here) it doesn't work. Running latest version of Chrome on Windows 7.
The only thing missing is an enable-disable option in the extension button(like in the adblock extension). I would really appreciate it if you could add this functionality because I use the extension only when I am developing and I don't want to see the size of the window all the time.
Does exactly as advertised, and even shows both the "full" and "visible" window dimensions when DevTools is open. Highly recommended!
Allow it to access file URLs in the settings, restart chrome and then it works fine with no problems
I need tools like this because I am a website designer creating responsive websites as my business. In saying that, this is a good App and can work very well, EXCEPT it does not work on web pages viewed on a local machine such as from your desktop. Yet it works well if the local webpage is viewed from a "LocalHost" server as within the WAMP framework on a local machine. The developer has to fix this discrepancy and then the App will get a 5 star. To restate it: NOT Working - when webpage is saved to desktop and viewed from there. WORKING when web page is viewed from a "localhost" server or from the web.
Works great on Windows 10. Remember to restart Chrome after installing, silly people!!!
It does work but disappears so quickly from display it's pretty worthless. A Toggle to keep it displayed would have me rate it way higher but as it stands its pretty useless as chrome already does much the same thing in the top right hand corner of the browser window.
worked once
Installed the plugin, restarted the browser and it just works. Anytime I resize my browser window I get a small dialog in the lower right hand corner of the screen showing me the inner and outer viewport sizes. Thankfully it only appears when I resize the browser screen.
Does not work.
tryyyyyyyyyyyyy
Not working
Doesnt work at all.
doesn't work
Worked once, hasn't worked since.
Doesnt show up
doesnt show up
doesn't work
Nothing appeared.
Works! Running a 13 inch MBP Retina on OSX Yosemite.
Work on some sites only
Not showing up on my MacBook Pro latest version of Chrome.
Nothing shows up
Works fine for me, (after restarting Chrome) v37.0.2062.103
Doesn't show up Chrome version 36.0.1985.143
Didn't show up for me Version 36.0.1985.125
Didn't show up for me. Chrome Version 36.0.1985.125
By far the most helpful tool that I've found for responsive design. Such a simple tool, but such a huge impact on development. Thank you!
Doesn't show up. Using Chrome Version: 35.0.1916.153
This is just what I was looking for. Simple, but makes a HUGE difference in easily testing responsive design!
Doesn't show up anywhere, no icon, no nothing.
Does not work on latest chrome (simply nothing is displayed anywhere)
Please update manifest key to include jQuery: Chrome 32.0.1700.72 beta Denying load of chrome-extension://kchdfagjljmhgapoonapmfngpadcjkhk/js/jquery-1.10.2.min.map. Resources must be listed in the web_accessible_resources manifest key in order to be loaded by pages outside the extension.
Would be a great thing if it worked. I am on Chrome 31.0.1650.63 on Ubuntu 13.04.
This extension does precisely what it says it does. Simple, clean and unobtrusive way to monitor and test your viewport size.
