only works when opening images in new tabs - actually hides images completely on pages themselves. so while it technically works, it's pretty much useless in practice.

Fixed my problem with photobucket pictures showing up blurry and out of focus! couldn't have been easier!
When needed, this extension worked well most of the time. Now that Photobucket has changed their policy, this extension is useless. It would be nice if it could be updated to remove the "watermark" they now use.

As another user pointed out, this plugin secretly injects this user's Amazon affiliate ID into Amazon URLs. AVOID UPDATE: Offending code has been removed in the latest update. Keeping the one star rating anyways. I hope Amazon drops your account. UPDATE 2: Code still appears to be removed. Author scrubbed all accusatory comments from his Github repo. Leaving my 1 star review, just because.

Extension tracks all website viewing history, sends it to server unencrypted. Also adds their Amazon affiliate tag to all amazon links to earn money; very shady.

Based on other comments, I'm not interested in him capturing all the URLs I visit or padding his wallet by secretly injecting his Amazon affiliate link. Removed.
Slowed everything down starting in January, and this douche is injecting his amazon affiliate into everything you buy. I'd have rather given him a few bucks for the extension than this kind of piracy.
Figured out the issue, it would help if I looked at other sites to make sure. This no longer works on Dreamwidth as Dreamwidth adds a weird url before the image for some benign reason. Everywhere else it works fine. Hence my confusion thinking it was isolated to my Macbook.

Crashing my system
worked for a day.. then stopped working. Web pages hang up on "waiting for Photobucket Hotlink to load..." Either Photobucket themselves killed it, or this is a bug, or some sort of other weird issue
Same as Dummiesman review. Killed chrome performance. I thought my internet was down, then I noticed "Waiting for Photobucket Hotlink Fix" error in status bar. I wasn't even on a page that USED photobucket, it had ZERO business even trying to load.
Worked at first. Now brings my browser to a complete crawl. 10+ seconds per page load on "Waiting for Photobucket Hotlink Fix"
It's a miracle! The photos on my favorite forum appear once again! Thank you to whoever made this add-on!

this captures the http status 307 photobucket returns then resubmits the new url from the response header location but changes the referrer to the same url. if the referrer is not photobucket.com, then photobucket returns the generic image.
