What’s new in version 2.3?

This Chrome extension checks DNS A-type record existance, content availability and redirection absence for a bunch of sites with a specified name. It may be used to find existed sites with a specific name and different domains (for example: learnmath.com, learnmath.co.uk, learnmath.ge, learnmath.lv etc).

Usage steps:
1. Enter a site name (as displayed in a picture 1) without quotes and domain. For example: learnmath. You may use text patterns like {a|b|c|...} within the name to generate multiple site names to be processed. For example, the name gr{a|e}y-colo{r|ur} will produce such names as: gray-color, gray-colour, grey-color and grey-colour.
2. Select a domain level to be processed (as displayed in a picture 2). The option "Search 1st level domains only" will generate a list of sites with your name(s) specified and all popular first-level domains (like learnmath.com, learnmath.org, learnmath.info etc) to be processed. The option "Search 2nd level domains only" will generate a list of sites with your name(s) specified and all popular second-level domains (like learnmath.co.uk, learnmath.nom.fr, learnmath.edu.mt etc) to be processed. The option "Search all domains" will combine both first and second levels.
3. Press "Search" button (as displayed in a picture 3) and wait for "Preparing" step ends. The list of all site names to be processed will be generated and displayed below.

Every site in list will be processed as follows:
1. The DNS A-type record existance will be checked for the site (using Google public DNS). If this record is not exists or its status is not correct then this site is marked red and will be deleted from the list. Site is marked green otherwise.
2. Content availability will be checked for the site. Extension will try to request site's content using AJAX request. If its content is not available for some reason (error/timeout/redirection etc) then this site is marked red and will be deleted from the list. Site is marked green otherwise.
3. Redirection absence will be checked for the site. Extension will try to open the site using a new browser tab and wait for loading is complete. If the redirection occures for some reason (server redirection/script execution etc) then this site is marked red and will be deleted from the list (tab will be closed). Site is marked green and tab stays as it is otherwise.

Finally you'll get a list of registered and existed sites without redirections (as displayed in a picture 4) with the tab for each of them. Once you have manually check for parking domains (there are a lot of) and close their tabs, you can get a list of all opened tabs.

This Chrome extension requires such permissions as "tabs" and "<all_urls>" to be able to check site's content availability and open/close site's tabs.
