The extension is not working.

Nice option to add tasks quickly. Would be great if we can tag multiple projects at the same time.

Easy way to add current webpages as tasks to Asana. I almost didn't install this based on all the comments saying it doesn't work, launches a new window, and doesn't add the URL. Not true. Maybe they are missing it, but there's a link icon in the popup. Just click it, and it adds the URL. I get that it's not automatic - but I guess it gives you the option to either add the URL or not.

Opens a new window (instead of using the existing window) to add a task. Also, it doesn't automatically copy the website; you have to copy and paste it in.

it doesn't work. it's just a blank white window and it says "Cannot connect to Asana. Be sure you're logged in and connected." No buttons or options to fix it tho. I even went into the Asana desktop app and looked around for integrations, etc. couldn't find anything. I think this extension is broken.

This add-on just stopped working and no one cares and responds to our requests to fix it

Very limited use. You can only add tasks and can't manage existing tasks

It doesn't actually add the URL of the site you are on to the task! Just pops up a blank task window so you can hand-write everything?!?!?! I'm baffled by the uselessness of this extension, what is the point? Just as useless as Asana's subtask feature. Ugh. HAAAAAATE

All I get is a white box with a thing spinnging in the centre.

When I click on the extension icon, the drop down box is blank. Nothing will change or fix it. I tried for a while but eventually deleted it. I found that there are several broken links on their site as well as I was searching for solutions. Seems to me like Asana isn't being kept up anymore. Maybe they are going away.

very rudimentary plugin, total luck of any options, like "checkbox to add url automatically for each new task". But comments are useless these days, they all will dive down into enormous backlogs of asana just like any enterprise product and never reach the state of development. So it is a wasting time to spend time here making suggestions. Nobody goona read them except the poor guy who set to moderate reviews and "create positive outlook"

Is this extension supposed to capture the URL automatically? It's not doing that for me, so its not very helpful at all.

blank pop up screen next to the icon. not working. tried many times. and will it also give reminders for timed events

WORST SOFTWARE EVER! TAKES MORE TIME TO USE THAN DO THE TASKS. USEFUL TO SOCIOPATHIC BOSSES ONLY.

This extension is great when it works, however, there seems to be a login issue. "Can not connect to Asana Be sure you're logged in and connected" Could it be the Brave Browser?

Can't get it to work. Have uninstalled and reinstalled.. when I click on it, I just get a blank window. When I right-click options is grayed out.

Love that it seamlessly syncs with the Asana site. I would love to have a dropdown to-do list in the top righthand corner of my screen. Currently, all I can do is quickly create a task that updates Asana, but I want to see my tasks in the extension

I have thoroughly enjoyed using this app thus far and will definitely give more feedback - once I have used it for awhile.

Would be nice to do the following within the extension: - Review *existing* subtasks within a project - Check off completed projects or subtasks - Create subtasks within the Project Already having a hard time adopting Asana. This extension was supposed to facilitate that, but likely going to drop again and stay with my tried and true.

Handy but very buggy. Most recently, after creating the task, a popup appears to say that I don't have permission to access the project. However, despite this error, everything still gets created. Clearing all browsing data didn't help. Also, the extension randomly selects the default workspace so tasks get created in the wrong workspace often unless you remember to check.

I love the extension! Perfect to quickly drop a TODO into my Asana! Small feature wish: I have like 5 Asana's connected to my account and would love to be able to say which one is the default to be used by the extension.

Great product

The loading time puts me off - it could exploit caching so one doesn't have to wait. Any necessary check could be done in the background while I can already start typing/thinking of what to extra info to add to the task.

I love Asana, but I am having trouble with using it to create tasks from websites. It gives me an error alert saying that I must sign in to my Asana, but I already am. Any suggestions on how to fix this problem?

Great extension. Helps me a lot to get tasks out of my head.

The prompt for a one-star review is "hated it" when really, I'm selecting one-star as a representation of how non-functional the extension is. The only thing you can do with the extension is add-on tasks. It doesn't allow you look at remaining tasks for projects, etc, in an abbreviated form. I'm not understanding how something this basic is meant to be helpful for people, given the relative complexity of the projects for which people use Asana

Unfortunately tasks aren't automatically assigned to a designated project.

Please add: - Right click on image > Add to Asana

It should would be great if it allowed for the emails to be added to the task--more often than not it doesn't allow them to attach. Its the only reason to have the gmail plugin.

Its constantly removing it self from my browser... ??? Odd. Sometimes it just doesn't cooperate. I'm still using it when it's not aggravating me. lol (sigh)

Asana....love is what i got ....organizing chaos & complexity

Love Asana. This is better than nothing but no tags is brutal. I have to completely stop my workflow and open the task and type in the tags. Would like a default project, too (I use the brain dump work flow also). If it had the tags it would be a 4 star, if they could also add the subsection of the project it would be 5 stars.

The extension is a help, but could be so much more with 2 changes. For example, I can't add tags which are an essential element for me. And it would help to set a default project or retain the last one used. As a result, I don't use this extension as often as I like. I primarily use it for adding web pages to a reading list.

Integration is great... Would like to be able to set a "Default Project" rather than having to start typing it each time - and tags would be useful :)

Only annoying thing: when clicking outside the new task window, I have to re-enter everything from scratch it would be great if any entry would be saved whenever closing and re-opening the extension during the current session.

Thanks for the update to 2.0 - unfortunately the extension is not saving the last choosen workspace and will always use the first one. This is really annoying.

Completely unusable for people using Danish keyboard layout. Opt+Shift+A is already mapped to "Å", which is frequently used in Danish. An option to make the keyboard shortcut customizable would fix this.

If there is no way to assign the task to a project and add a due date, this is near useless. ToDoist has those features.

The inability to choose which project within the workspace should get the task makes this extension useless for us. Hopefully that will be added in future.

Alternative chrome:app AsanaNG more better, then this official app. There i can select project! And more other options.

Asana Makes Life Easy

I'm in-between 3 and 4 stars. It's a good way to quickly capture tasks without switching context. That's good. Yet it's disappointing not to be able to select a project when you add a new task. If I could do that, I'd give it 5-stars.

Meh. It lacks of fundamental functionalities, like selecting a project. Also its usability is questionable, why I have to click on a button to get the URL and the page title into the task? It should be done automatically. Take a look at the Evernote web clipper chrome extension. I'm craving for something half as good as that for Asana.

Bare bones and disappointing. Asana is such a disappointing product on windows. They want you to do everything in a browser with poor offline support and confusing interfaces. UI is simplistic and yet confusing. Hoped Asana could be great for my department but way to underdeveloped in app support. Mobile apps are limited and Windows client is non-existent.

Useful, but really need the ability to assign to projects

No project add capabilities, adding assignee's seems broken...kinda hinky. Asana! Give us the ability to interact with our todo lists without having to go through a janky web page all the time. You are killing us!

lacks essential features as mentioned by other reviewers: - cannot select a project - cannot add a due date - too many to mention and I've already wasted enough time writing this review.

1. Broken - "Assign" The extension will not let me assign the task I create to anyone. As soon as I click "assign," it creates the task. 2. Missing - "Select Project" I would like to assign the task to a project when I am creating the task.

What do you like best? So much to like about Asana. 1) Deep integration with G Suite, Google's Apps: Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Spreadsheet, Google Chrome. All the Google goodness makes life so much easier. 2) Robust feature set. 3) Feature set is easily extended through the Asana ecosystem of about 60 native integrations, including 6 integration networks such as Zapier, each with their own network of integration partners! 4) Native templates and third-party templates available to jumpstart your projects. 5) Customizability/flexibility to the way you work. 6) Latest technology, so it's fast and nimble. 7) Beautiful interface—so important given the amount of time you spend in it. What do you dislike? Nothing to dislike so far. It compares very favorably to every other PM app I've ever tried. What benefits have you realized? Many. It's versatile enough by itself, and especially through its integration partners to cover much functionality.

Works. Its basic missing things to add a date to the tasks etc. But you get title, body and a nice little Gmail import that I love.

A super simple way to chuck things quickly into your In Tray - ready for sorting later. It's incredibly basic, but with a couple of clicks I can save something for later.

Missing due date, projects, tags etc. Not that helpful. Please update it!!! Please!!

If I'm adding a task from an extension, I don't want to have to open the website to finish the job, as otherwise the extension doesn't offer any advantage! Needs to be able to add tags, due dates, lists, etc. to be useful; please give some attention to this extension to make it useful.

Useless... There is no way to assign a task to a project.

I don't see the point of this extension, as it exists now. I have a problem with Asana, as it slows my browser down if I leave it open. And, ideally, it would be open all day. So being able to add tasks from this extension would solve a LOT of my problems, at least when it comes to adding tasks. But it doesn't show my projects so if I add something, I will have a lot of sorting to do when I do open the app. So it's just not worth it. I find I am using Asana less and less and I'm not happy about that.

It is ok, missing lots of functionality such as creating a task from an email only takes the subject and assign to project, we need to set to task list, date due etc.

Similar to the other reviewers, I found this extension to be severely lacking in functionality. Honestly it would be better to have no extension available.

As most reviewers I have the same issues. All the important time saving bits are missing.

It works but it's extremely basic and non-configurable. For example, I would like to have the url of the page inserted by default (why else would I be using the plugin if not to create a task that relates to the page and "bookmark" it?) Would be great if that was an option in an upcoming release.

You can't assign to a specific project. You can't assign a due date. This extension is weak-sauce. So useless.

I'm in more than one Organization. I need to be able to choose the Organization and Workspace/Team. It's pretty useless without that.

I have a lot of projects in my team's asana workspace and my team has even more. Without the ability to identify the project, this is pretty clunky and more trouble than its worth.

Worthless extension. Can't even see my project list.

I love Asana, can't say I love this extension. I would love to see a keyboard shortcut. Plus options for auto population of tasks. So that I can auto populate each task with the Title and the URL in the comment of the task and the title field active. Then I would use this addon instead of bookmarks for items that have urgency. Dates and Projects would be nice, and would love to see that in the future, but right now, my main priority would be extra functions on the addon itself. At the moment I have to use a mouse to create the task, since I am always going to want the URL in the task. And that for me is a HUGE downfall. Hope we see improvements on this in the future, I LOVE ASANA, and if Asana can help ease the pressure on the black hole that is bookmarks, than I would be really happy.

Why didn't I know about this SOONER!!! I love it. Now instead of having reading lists, and RSS feeds, and playlists spread all over my life, it can all just get dropped into Asana.

1. Has been updated NOT ONCE, ever. 2. The makers neither act upon or reply to suggestions. 3. With millions in funding, their extension does not let us assign a task, add a screenshot, add to a project. BIG fail. Uninstalled.

I can't believe I have to repeat what others have been saying since it was released...it's worthless if I can't select a project, or a worspace, or due date, etc. This would take no time at all to implement. Sorry, I don't buy into minimum viable product and fail fast. Figure out the needs of your user segments before you design the product. Otherwise, fail faster so we can use this.

No way to add project, which is the main thing. Have to open task in Asana after anwyays. So not really helpful Would be helpful to also add: * subtasks * due date * attachment * recently created tasks section OR save & open button (you could open your task in Asana after creating it) * default organization

It does the basic that you would expect. I would add the function that you can select a specific project in the workspace, add tags and a due date as well. Maybe for future versions they will.

I love Asana - but this extension will only be really useful to me when I can select a workspace at least and ideally a project (with due date even better). Have removed it for now awaiting this update from Asana.

Nice little extension; NEEDS TO HAVE DUE DATE. You can quickly add tasks, but limited functionality. It would be good to have + Due date + Assign to person + Etc.

It would be a 5 if I could set a project and date at the same time. As it is, I have to go over to Asana to do those steps, so it's not really saving me much time at all.
