Edit (5.10.2022): When enabled it breaks the close button for images when they are opened large. (8 Sept 2021) It worked for a while, but for the last month or so it's all back to "normal" in Fb. It would be nice to have a new update and block ads again.
Does not have any noticable impact. Half of the Facebook content is still ads ("Sponsored").

does not remove ads with "sponsored" label. i'm on windows 10 using the latest version of chrome.
Works well - just installed it and no ads at all. Still need to see how well it will work against video ads as I haven't found a video with those yellow lines that indicate and ad break. So maybe it's working already well and I just don't know it. Either way, Thank you for taking your time to make this. Very helpful.

Just installed it today 4/1/2022 and it does absolutely nothing totally useless
Installed on 3/2/22 and it works great at removing "sponsored" ads from my newsfeed which is exactly what I needed.

Finally, a dependable FB ad killer
I already use adblockers for general web ads which remove all the sidebar and static ads as well as youtube ad blockers to remove video based ads. This plugin appears to do nothing (in Australia). Installed, restarted Chrome and the same ads every 3 posts in FB are still displayed, no difference at all. Does not appear it's been updated in a while but I would almost happily pay to have ads removed from FB as it is the reason I never use it anymore.

ads were displayed mid video, and the video is being vanished AFTER ads done playback. completely defeating the purpose.

No more sponsored ads. It actually did what it says, unbelievable.
Just installed this today and it's not blocking ads from my home page news feed. I'm still having to manually block the ad page, report it, and/or hide the ad. I was under the impression this app would block all these ads so I would no longer have to manually remove them. My ad preferences on FB is set to the highest level so not even sure why I've been getting 100's of ads daily appearing. This all seem to change on Oct. 5, 2021 when they had the world-wide outage.

Worked as expected
Just five minutes into using the extension on FB and it was everything I dreamed AdBlock Plus to be. Instead your dev team took up the load and made excellent function with this extension. Do keep up the good work.
Worked when I first installed it a while back. Very recently though, Sponsored posts are appearing again; Facebook must've changed something on their end.
Recently stopped working I guess Facebook has had an update.
Still allows suggested videos. Makes FB usable. I don't usually contribute, but would if this blocked suggested content. Keeping ahead of Racist Zuckerberg and his goblin army takes no small effort. Great product but for that little fault!
Works 9th August 2021. No Sponsored posts. Still plays advert in videos.

It was working great. Somehow though, facebook changed some code again and now video ads are getting through.

Seems to work for all ads except mid-video ads. Adblock Plus blocked them for a while, but it seems that Zuck has changed things to circumvent the ad-blockers for videos.

Seems to be working - ads on Facebook blocked. But. After installation (v1.9.2), I started having lot of issues between Chrome.app (v89.0.4389.114 ) and Chrome Canary.app (v92.0.4476.0) which was constantly crashing on MacOS (with CPU load till 170-180% by Chrome.app or Chrome Canary.app). Maybe it's conflict between this FB ad blocker and AdBlock I had previously. Workaround for now - I have to disable all Chrome extensions in Chrome.app so that Chrome Canary.app doesn't crash. I tried to enable it back, but then time to time Chrome Canary.app crashes again. Not sure whom to blame :)
5 stars as this is open-source and free. Please contribute and let's make this the best way to remove FB ads :-)

March 28, 2021 - 5-10 minutes after installing, no sponsored ads seen. Hopefully stays like this for a while. Will update again.
